Manyata strode up and down, waiting for Uday to show up ... she didn't know why she was getting so impatient to see him...err..correction, she was impatient for the lesson to start and Uday was taking his time. Just because he's a prince doesn't mean he can buy time, she thought.
Uday watched her for the past 5 minutes, studying every move of hers, her looks, her expressions, her beauty ... seeping it all in him ... he had left from DS's office right after she had, but he decided to secretly admire her for a bit and then become a teacher, lessons can wait, and so can she, he thought to himself. But seeing her strode left to right, and starring at the clock intensely like the clock is going to go convince him to show up...she really did not have any patience, he thought. So he walked up to her ...
Manyata: Udayveer yaar tou aur late aa jata, tub tak to mai apne poti pottey ka khayal rakh leti ... (Uday, you should have taken more time, atleast I could look after my grand-children) she said with a sarcastic tone ...
Uday: Firstly Princess, hum aapke teacher hein to aap hamse aise baat nahi ker sakti, secondly, aap hamare bagair potey poti to door, bach be paida nahi ker sakti (Firstly princess, I'm your teacher so you can't talk to me in that tone, secondly you can't have grand-children unless you have children, and you can't have children without me) he said in a flirtatious manner, smirking.
Manyata: Chal parhai kerhein kya? (C'mon shall we start the lesson?) she said avoiding his comment.
Uday: Sure Princess. Have a seat. he gestured her to have a seat on the sofa ...
Manyata did as she was told to do, but she sat on the sofa with such a big huff ... and in such a casual manner.
Uday: No Princess, that's not how a princess sits on a sofa. Stand up.
Manyata stands up obediently, and Uday holds her hand...Manyata looks at him confused, she feels a wierd sensation at his touch, he then stands next to her, while holding her hand in his, and he slowly starts to sit down, bringing her along with him, and as he sits down, she to sits down, without making any noise, or withouth disturbing the sofa at all, as if sitting down in air ... and then he tells her to fold her right leg over her left leg, closing them tight and placing her both hands on her knees. Manyata does it, she's uncomfortable sitting in such a sophisticated manner but she has to.
Uday: Ok Princess, well done ... that was your first etiquette lesson, aur abh aap ko ek princess ki tarha bethna aa gaya hai, so abh aap kahi pe be bethe gi to aise he betho gi, okay princess? (and now princess you've learnt how to be seated like a princess, so now where ever you sit, you'll sit in such a manner)
Manyata: Jee Guru Ji. (Yes Guru).
Uday: Aap ko humme Guru bolane ki zarourat nahi hai, call me Uday, we're friends after all. (You don't need to call me Guru)
So now Uday starts with the main course of the lesson. He teaches her table manners, how to address others and herself, how to speak clearly and slowly, and not gobble up words or blow them out like a fast train, how to control emotions and anger...etc. After 2 hours of practice, he stops with this lesson, time to move on to the next.
Uday: Ok Princess, that's it for today ... hum kall phir ye sub practice kerein ge ... aaj ke liya aap ne acha kiya ... (We'll practice again tomorrow, not bad for today)...so moving on to dance classes, pehle aap 10 mins ki break le (First have a 10 mins break) have a drink. He said with a smile.
She was about to leave, when her dupatta stopped her ...
Manyata: Uday mera dupatta chor ... (let go of my dupatta) she said with an annoyed tone.
A smirk spread across Uday's face.
Manyata turned around with an angry expression, but then her face calmed down, as she saw her dupatta stuck in Uday's shirt's button ... she sighed and then walked upto Uday, slightly embarrased because she thought he was flirting with her again when he was in the same position as her, stuck. She walks upto him, not realising how close she is to him, she starts to get her dupatta untangled from his button, but it wouldn't let go of his buttons. Uday's calmly just admiring her and has a sweet smile on his face, however her closness plays wonders across his body. He slowly puts his hand onto one of her hands which is at his chest, Manyata looks up...when her eyes meet his, she's completely lost ... and in the mean while Uday puts her hand down, and unties the dupatta ... not once breaking the eye lock, he slowly bends down a little, their noses touch ... and Manyata can't take it anymore so she closes her eyes, Uday looks at her angelic face, mesmerising beauty, and then at her quivering lips with hints of glitter from the gloss she had which had now faded away , as he's smirkingly leaning closer to her lips, he realises that he's untied the dupatta ... not breaking apart the distance he says..
Uday: Manyata, ho gaya ... (It's done).
He is staring at her closed eyes, her mouth is only a centimeter away from his, and as he spoke she felt his warm breath on her lips, and shrills went down her spine, but heeding attention to his words she snaps out of the moment and opens her eyes, looks away and without saying a word she runs away from there. Leaving a smirking Uday.
Manyata ran straight into her room, and looked at herself in the mirror, she was blushing ... she could feel that her cheeks had naturally gone pink, not understanding why, she gentally touches her cheek at the spot where it was pink, she starred at herself in the mirror, the image of the person standing in the mirror was Manyata look-wise but still Moniya on the inside ... Manyata felt confused, what happened to her out there? was she? No. she was just afraid of the closeness between her and Uday, that's why she closed her eyes, and felt all those uncomfortable things. She said trying to explain herself. She looked at the clock, and the break was almost over, only one minute away. Time for dance lessons, she thought.
Uday on the other hand, couldn't help but smile, he sat there on the very sofa ... and smiled to himself for the past 5 minutes, Jay who had seen the whole scene between Uday and Manyata, watched Uday as he drowned himself into Manyata-land, she was burning with jealousy. That's when Vijay who to had been witnessing it all from upstairs came and stood next to Jay.
Vijay: I smell something burning. He said whispering into Jay's ear. Hinting at her in sarcasm.
Jay gave him an angry glare...
Vijay: Ammm, I think the chef forgot something on the stove, I'll go and have a look, see you Jay Bhai.
And he left Jay, scared she'll eat him alive, as she was in no mood for jokes, well practically it wasn't a joke, it was a fact ... truth is always bitter. Jay gritted her teeth in anger ... as she saw Manyata come down the stairs.
Manyata: Uday, Mai nachne ke liye tayar hoon. (I'm ready to dance)
Uday didn't hear her as he was still in M-Land.
Manyata: Uday, Halkat Veda, mai tujh se baat ker rahi hoon. (I'm talking to you). she said nudging his shoulders.
Uday looked up and Manyata, got up and smiled, and then lead her to the palace's grand ball room, and Jay followed them.
In the ball room, Uday turned on the muci system, a nice Jazz song was playing, he goes to Manyata, kneels down on one knee, bending his other leg and putting his hand forward with a smile. Manyata wondering what he was doing.
Manyata: Uday, tou ye kya ker raha hai? (What are you doing?)
Uday: No princess, tou nahi "aap" ... boliye "ye aap kya ker rahe hein Uday" ... (No princess, say it respectfully).
Manyata: Acha, Ye aap kya ker rahe hein Uday? (Ok, what are you doing Uday, in a respected manner) she said repeating his words.
Uday: Good! Ye Couple dancing ka pehla step hai, jahan pe apka partner apka haath dance ke liye mangta hai (This is the first step for couple dancing, where your partner asks your hand for a dance.) he said with a smile still in the same position.
Manyata: To abh mai kya keroun? (So what do I do?)
Uday: No princess, not "mai" say "hum"...
Manyata: Uffo. theek hai... to abh hum kya kerein? (Oh god, okay so what do I do?)
Uday: Apna haath mere haath me rakhe ... aur phir apne jism ko dheela chor dena, kyun ke aap khood ba khood dance kerne lagi gi ... (Put your hand in mine, and then relax your body, because you'll flow into the dance automatically)...
Uday and Manyata start dancing, Uday guiding Manyata's body ... and Manyata soon flowing into the dance automatically, it was very simple ... all she had to do was follow his lead, but what made it hard for the two of them was the fact that everytime their bodies came close, their eyes met, and when their noses touched ... it made it hard for them to focus on their surroundings, sensations made it hard for them to dance ... they had been dancing without the music for the past 10 minutes, because the song had stopped playing 10 minutes ago and overall they had been dancing for 30 minutes, lost into each others eyes and embrace ... closing eyes whenever they came close ... that's when Jay couldn't take this puppy-love or as she called it that, it was making her sick ... she was watching them dance all the while, and it was a pain to see the fact that they were mesmerised and unaware of their surroundings, that's when Jay walks up to them ... and claps ... loud enough to snap them out. Uday and Manyata stop, still Uday's hands are around Manyata's waist, and her one hand in his, while the other on his shoulder ... still in the same position they look around, and realising that the music had stopped, and there was a third-party present watching them, they pull apart ... Uday looks at Jay, thrusting Daggers at her while her eyes glaring at Manyata, one could cleary see the flames that cause Jay to burn to the core around her ... And as Jay's eyes turn to look at Uday ... she humphs.
Jay: Disgusting !! she says in anger and then turns around and storms off ...
Uday and Manyata look at each other, not knowing what just happened. uday breaking the silence...
Uday: Well Done Princess, Aap to dance itni jaldi seekh gai, aur aap to abh music ke begair be dance ker sakti hein, signs of a good dancer. (You learnt how to couple dance really quick, and now you can dance without music) he said trying to make it less awkward for her and covering up for their mesmerised moment without music.
Manyata smiled and thanked him, she asked him if she could leave as she was exhausted for today, She bid Uday a goodbye and left.
Jay was storming in her room, breaking and throwing anything that came in her path ... she was truely badly hurt, that is when her phone rang. She attended and it was Akash... through out the convo Jay had an evil smirk across her face.
Jay: Okay Done ! Akash ... I'm in ... anything to get that Churail away from my way ... Anything. With that she closed the phone and gave out and evil laugh.
