Ok ... Ok ... I know ... I am too late posting this update here ... but in my defense , Feb and Mar are the times for too much work at ofc 😭😭... coz we enjoyed thru Dec and Jan ... .
Newaz , although I opened up word to write an update for The Protector , I somehow ended up writing an update for this SS 😳😳😳 ...
I hope , I dont suck at this ... and for everyone's benefit , I havent written the dialogues in Hindi 😊😊
Plzzz do read thru and lemme know how this is ... and should I continue this one ... a couple of parts left out and am done with this SS 😊

Aakash – (noticing the hopeful look, Kick started his defensive mechanism) …. Oh ….. no no ……. No bhai !!! anything but this ……… see …….. bhai ……. You can do this !!! …. After all you are Arnav Singh Raizaada ….. everyone fears you ……. And you don't fear anyone ……. Remember ??
Arnav – (making a face of a kid who lost his pebbles) ….. right !!! ……. But …..(and both brothers looked up at Khushi's ward …… )
Arnav Huffed a bit and got up, getting rid of his tie ,unbuttoned the first two buttons of his shirt and moved towards the door and when he was about to enter to Aakash's relief , he turned his heels and came and sat down next to a confused and amused Aakash . Arnav was continuously muttering something and Aakash slightly tuned his ears to hear what the hell was wrong with the cool ASR , " Come-on Arnav ….. you can do this …. Yes … relax … she is your wife afterall … she loves you … she wont kill you ….. ",in a loop while continuously taking deep breaths.
Aakash was bewildered , if that could be used as a tame name to his reaction. "Bhabhi … killing Bhai ??? ", he almost laughed only to earn a seething look from Arnav , he shut his already shut mouth . Carefully , he kept his hand on Arnav's shoulder , "Bhai …… Khushi wont kill you ….. I can assure you of that !!! …. She loves you … you know ?? …… maybe she might just shout at you or throw more insults towards you ….. but Bhai ….. you are already used to her shouting …. Right ??" , he added in an attempt to calm his brother . "Easy for you to say ……… you were never subjected to her assaults ……. And lucky you !! ….. Payal is soo calm and composed …. " , Arnav gave back .
"oh come on bhai ….. isme meri kya galti hai …… see …… I am a calm and composed person , with no anger issues and so is Payal ….. and you …… you know ……. You are an angry person …… and you got an impulsive and angry person as your wife !! " , Aakash tried to defend himself, but he didn't know why he did that . He only knew he earned a scowl and a hit from Arnav , " what are you tryin to say Aakash ?? …. Just because I have some little issues with my Anger ….. It is right that I get a wife who is angrier than me ?? …. You know what ?? ……… you are not helping out here !!! …. " , his voice raising a bit . A passing nurse turned towards the brothers angrily and pointed towards the "Silence Please" board and even mimicked the finger on the lips and left with a warning .
Arnav Huffed again to his annoyance . "why is it soo hot here dammit !!! …. " he said . Aakash wondered , why was his brother feeling warm in an AC hospital and that too when the air conditioner was churning out blasts of cold air continuously?? but he shut his mouth to be on the safer side . Arnav now got rid of his waistcoat and threw it on the chair where his tie was .He removed the buttons from cuffs and rolled his sleeves to his elbow and untucked his shirt from his pants and moved the shirt's collar so that some air circulated to soothe him. Aakash , now in a panic mode , moved towards his nervous brother who was unknowingly stripping his clothing one by one to the benefit of other women in the hospital who were ogling at him without much shame and had to be stopped before Arnav did something stupid and then blamed Aakash for not stopping him from doing something stupid, "come on bhai ….. sirf itna hi toh kehna hai ki is baar false alarm hai ……. Aur ghabraane ki koi baat nahi hai …… delivery jaldi ho jaayegi ….agli baar kar lenge " and literally pushed Arnav towards the door .
Arnav entered the ward , only to find a very agitated ,frustrated and fidgeting Khushi who threw daggers at anyone near her. She sat with her head on the headboard of the hospital bed which was tilted for her benefit . The minute she saw Arnav enter the room , her expression which had a hint of irritation turned to a scowl then to pure loathing to anger to mild relief to blame which finally led to a frown, then sadness and finally a cute pout. Arnav didn't know how to react to her . He always knew his wife had a range of expressions in her arsenal but this was … As he usually said …."Unbelievable" …. Correction he thought ….."Unbelievably Unbelievable !!!! " . He was pretty sure, the swings in her mood was not normal even if the term Mood Swings was applicable right now.
He had to use all his control to stifle a laugh which came out from nowhere , then remove the guilt from his conscience , get rid of fear from his mind and then additionally get rid of any expression of relief which he felt when he came to know that right now she wasn't in labor. Wow !!! … Arnav always knew (from self help books , gyaan from Nani , Mami , Payal , His Mother in Law and Buaji , google and etc etc …) that "Mood -Swings " were to expected from Pregnant women, but nothing prepared him for this realization. He didn't know even Husbands and fathers-to-be experienced that !!! Partially he blamed Aakash , Mama and Khushi's Babuji for not telling him this bit of very important information. Come-on , in the span of 30 seconds he had gone through a range of emotions - fear , guilt , relief and humor. Was that even possible ?? he thought . He literally shook his head and moved on to greet his very annoyed wife who could probably blow him off right now.
Looking at him shaking his head , Khushi felt he was reprimanding her and her so called stupidity. Her anger spiked to new heights . "Aapko kya lagta hai ?? …….. this is funny ?? …… that I am stupid ?? …. Or … or … are you thinking of your lost meetings and deals and blaming me for that ?? …. Well …. Aap yaha se jaa sakte hai ……. If you don't want to be here ……. You can go …… I am not in any position to stop you ….. not physically thou ……… you have made sure of that …… I cant even move a bit without being uneasy ….. and why would you be here ……. With the so called wife ….. with no class …… who is now …. Lemme see ……. Just Pregnant with your kid …… and has a blown up tummy …… and looks funny ….. " ,she continued only to be stopped by Arnav's lips on hers and his hands on both sides of her face .
Entering the room , he faced the wrath of Khushi for only God knows what and he did the only thing that came up to his mind to shut her up . He kissed her and literally shut her up and was sure that she would be shocked enough to not start with her ranting for atleast 2 minutes if he was lucky. Slowly moving his face away from her , but still holding her face in his palms, "Khushi …….. there is no where else I would rather be …… other than here …… by your side …….. you remember ……. I promised to be by your side through sickness and health", confused whether it was totally correct , she wasn't sick nor was she exactly healthy and pregnancy didn't come in either categories , cursing the person who made this statement , he continued , " You are my family Khushi ……. (placing his right hand on her tummy) …. You both are the reason why I am living my life and not just alive …… how can I be anywhere else ……. Being with you is my most important meeting and taking care of my family and loving my family is the best deal I have ever made …… " .
But he was cut short from his speech by his wife , " you are lying !!! " , she said with a cutest pout , "Eh ?? " , he said confused . " you were not exactly by my side when I was sick ……. You run away at the sight of me retching …… and whenever you came to help me out …… you almost fainted leading to me helping you out to get out of the bathroom !!! " ,she replied . "come on Khushi ……. You know I cant stand the smell of vomit ……. I feel puckish …….I did try to help out " ,he tried to defend himself . "Then you cannot say a statement that you took care of me through sickness and health ….. that is untruthful !!" , she gave back .
"Oh !! Shut up !!! both of you !!! ……… ",said Aakash from the door of the ward. He had waited enough for his brother outside and had entered in to see what the hell was happening to only hear them bickering like kids . "Bhai ……. Khushi …….. This is not the time to play Judge - Lawyer ……First of all bhai(turning to his brother) … you shouldn't ever give speeches ……. You suck at it !!! ….. not because you don't give good speeches …. Only because you give them at wrong times …….. and Khushi (turning to her) … he was just trying to calm and soothe you down ….. 'in sickness and health' is just a phrase invented in English to be used in such situations ….. you need not take the meaning literally …… and try to lawyer it out !! …….. you people are worse than kids ……. And coming to think of it ….. you yourself are having a child !!! I wonder how that will turn out !! " , he finished only to see two confused and unblinking eyes at him .
" you haven't told her have you ?? " , he asked Arnav . "Told me what ?? " , asked Khushi . " I was just going to …." , Arnav tried to answer . " Oh God !!! ……. ",said Aakash , finally deciding he better tell her , " Khushi …… you are not ….. lemme repeat …. NOT in labor …… so your delivery is not today " , he said not looking at Khushi , whose eyes had become as big as saucers and her mouth a perfect O , he hands clutched Arnav's hand too tightly . "and Bhai ….the doctor cannot ……. Lemme repeat …… can-NOT admit her here ……. Coz she need not be admitted ……as of now …… we have to take her home today " , Arnav whose hand was already numb thanks to the solid hold of his wife ,felt his whole body go numb and copying his wife's expression of eyes being saucers and mouth a perfect O .
Aakash amused by his brother and sister-in-law 's expressions , nodded his head , " I am out of here !!! …. This is mental !!! " , and turned, " and Bhai …(leading to Arnav look at him, which an open mouth ) … please don get rid of any more clothes from your body …….. you already are halfway through a strip show !! ….. and if you do …….. we might have to book another room in the hospital for your broken bones due the fact that there is steady increase in number of women in this floor from the time you came here " , and left.
