Intezaar

It's no easy to mend complicated, broken relations, Mayank thought and a sigh escaped from his lips, standing near the huge building he took out the small chit from his pocket and read that again, "House E-45,2^nd floor" again sliding that chit into his pocket he stepped towards the stairs.

After a few moments of thoughts and gather courage he finally tapped the door, he was really feeling nervous, scared like a small boy who had feared to get scold, he wished for a moment Nupur would've with her as she was his strength but he knew Nupur presence could've made the situation more complicated he did not want them to say something bad to her.

Ramesh spanned the knob of door and opened it, "who is there?..Mayank"

After paused his stiffened yet filled with surprise voice slipped from his lips to see Mayank standing at the door,Mayank gasped air to control his emotions and composed himself, "how dare you come here. Get lost from here" Ramesh burst out angrily and tried to slam the door at Mayank's face when he held his hand and stopped him to do that, "today I'll not go back until I proof myself innocent" Mayank's determination gave him another surprise, "I have been suffered a lot due to that deed which I did not do, I was coward who always tried to escape from reality but not now you will have to listen what is truth" pushing the door slightly Mayank stepped in house and Ramesh took some steps back still in surprise to see this Mayank who was not scared or feeling guilty but was determined to remove the tag from himself which they had given him.

"But I don't want to listen'"

Ramesh interrupted by Mayank "but I want to tell you what had happened exactly that day, please give me one chance to proof I did not do anything wrong, I never thought even in my worst dream Piya will take her life,I never thought, I was his friend, she was my best friend,I had shared my every little,happiness,my every little achievement, sadness with her, how could I kill her..Do you think I can take her life?"

Ramesh had no answer of his any question he knew how much Mayank had respected their friendship, how much he had cared for Piya,he had seen But..What had happened afterwards that create wall between them and finally one day it took their daughter life..

Mayank came closer to him and held him by shoulder,Ramesh lifted his eyes at him, "please uncle I have suffered a lot due to that one incident which had changed my whole life, please let me prove myself innocent,please give me one chance..Please.."

Mayank's each and every word coming from his heart and Ramesh could've seen truth in his words, in his eyes,, "please give me one chance not for myself but for Piya..For our friendship"

Ramesh was silent and Mayank got courage to tell him the whole truth as they did not know exactly what had happened in them.

"I always had treated her like my best friend, I did not know when and how she started feeling for me, she took my possessiveness, my care towards her in wrong way and when on the annual function she confessed her love I got the big shock of my life I had never thought Piya would think about me like this..i was too much hurt, in shock that I could not understand what I should do.. And she took my silence as "yes"

Ramesh taken aback at Mayank's word, "its mean you did not love her"

Mayank gave look to her face and then nodding his head he spoke further, "No,I had nothing in my heart for her, she was my best friend, just friend, I could never thought about her like that"

Ramesh got jerk in shock pressed his hand on chair for support when Mayank rushed towards him and holding his arms he made him sit on chair, "But she told us you loved her that's why we got agreed for your and Piya's marriage"A lone tear escaped from Ramesh's eye remembering that day when Piya was so happy and she told her parents about them and he looked at Mayank who now sitting on floor infront of him holding his hands, "uncle if I would wrong I could've played with her emotions, I could've took advantage of her mad love but I could not do that because she was my best friend, only friend, I did not want her to live in fake dreams, I wanted her to accept the reality that I don't love her, I tried many times to understand her but she was too mad in my love to accept the reality, I had been fed up to her madly love, I was frustrated on my fate which was playing games with me, I had been lost my friend, only friend..But I never thought I would lost her forever one day"

Tears dwelled up in his eyes like misty cloud and he let them flow, he gulped his lump and then composing himself lifted his eyes at Ramesh who was still silent, "please uncle forgive me for saying those harsh word to Piya but I never wanted her to harm herself,I never wanted her to leave us for forever" the pain he had held in his heart from the past many years today came out in the shape of tears,he hid his head on Ramesh lap,Rameh closed his eyes and tears slipped from his eyes, tears of guilt for considering Mayank 'killer of her daughter' ,taking him wrong when he knew Mayank could not do that, he always abused him, scolded him without listening truth and because of him he had suffered, his shaking hand moved and he placed it on Mayank's head, Mayank looked up at him "uncle, you forgave me"Mayank held his hand and he nodded his head in between his tears.

The sound of some broken thing got their attention and they both turned their face back, "Raveena"

"aunty"

Ramesh and Mayank rushed towards her who had been listen their conversation, got unconscious and collapsed with a vase, They took her immediately hospital without wasting time..

Nupur was pacing in room from the past one an hour; she knew Mayank had to meet Ramesh uncle and Raveena aunty but now it was 8.PM and he still could not come back home, she was getting upset, Nither he was picking up call Nor he had contacted her the whole day.she had tried to contact Samrat to ask about Mayank but his cell phone was also switched off.

"Mayank ap kahan hain?hamain bohat dar lag raha hai"Nupur prayed in her heart and opened her eyes to hear the sound of ringing bell ,her cell phone was ringing, she rushed to pick up it.

"Nupur"

"Mayank ap kahan hain?hum ne kai bar ap ka phone try kiya..ap ne cell phone switched off kyun kiya ?ap theek hai na?"She asked too many questions in just one breath wiping off her tears and Mayank smiled feeling her love..

"Nupur,please relax and wipe your tears.."

"ap ko kaise pata ke main ro rahi hoon?"She asked getting amazed and wiped off her tears.

"isliye kyun ke main apni Nupur ko ache se janta hoon wo zara zara si baat pe pareshaan ho jati hai kyun ke wo mujh se bohat pyaar kerti hai"he replied lovingly and smiled to imagine her face which would've been red due to blush, he took paused and then spoke "main theek hoon Nupur,main Ramesh uncle aur Samrat ke saath hospital main hoon,Raveena aunty hospital main admit hain "

"Mayank sab theek hai na"she asked concernedly asshe did not know what might be happened there ..

"haan,sab theek hai,tum apna kahayal rakhna,Maa ko ab sab kuch bata dena,jaise hi Raveena aunty discharge hoon gi,Main wapis aa jayon ga"

"Ap bhi apna khayal rakhiye ga" she felt relax to talk to him,he was with Ramesh uncle it meant everything was fine,she was about to cut the call when he called her name,

"Nupur" something strange in his voice made her heart skipped for a moment, she never felt like this before in his voice, "ji"she whispered

"I love you Nupur"

These words fell into her ears and she felt as Time had stopped at that moment..

Jab Tum ne kaha "mujhe tum se mohabbat hai"

Aisa laga mujhko

Ke is ik lamhe main

Mera sadiyon ka Intezaar simat gaya.
