Hey all! I'm back with another OS! This one has been written after today's episode! :) As the title suggests, about the scorpion bite! I have also written a promo for this! ArHi OS - The Scorpion's Bite
We stood only inches apart in the dim light of the kitchen... Our proximity was such that I could hear her every heartbeat. Khushi was beautiful. Her gem studded brown hair tumbled down in loose waves. She was adorned with a simple maroon lengha, which might not have looked as gorgeous if she had not been tucked within it. Her forhead was lined with a simple maang-tikka and her neck had a thin silver locket woven around it. Her best quality? Her eyes. She had the eyes of an egyptian princess. They seemed to have been made with such precision that any man in his right mind could lose his senses simply by looking into them. Her eyes held an ocean of innocence. She was an open book...clear as glass...see through.
My fingers, as if on their own accord, caressed her skin while my hungry eyes feasted on the miracle in front of them. "I-I won..." She murmured. The velvety sound of her voice sent shivers through my spine. It was enough to drive any man crazy. And those delectable lips... the heat of her breath, rushing past them... I clenched my teeth willing myself to stop the sensual thoughts whirring through my mind. But as hard as I tried, I couldn't ignore the attraction that seemed to be pulling us nearer every second.
"So...?" I whispered in response to her quiet statement. She closed her eyes as my fingers snaked up her milky white arms and to her lips. "Tell me Khushi..." I declared softly. There was an unnameable desire in my voice. Perhaps there had always been...
With each passing moment, I was losing myself... losing the image of ASR that I had built up over the years... Somehow, whenever I was with Khushi, I was just Arnav... Not the stone-hearted, cold ASR that I pretended to be. My finger gently caressed her skin, jerking it upward so that her eyes locked onto mine. It felt as if we were simply melting together... There wasn't a care in the world... All my pains, anger, sorrow... everything was left aside... This moment was ours and I wanted to keep it that way... nothing could come between us now... nothing.
My thoughts were interrupted with a light push. Khushi. She looked at me... scandalized... "What was that Arnavji...?" She asked shakily as she took as step back. So she had felt it too. I pursed my lips, trying my best not to simply take those delectable lips of hers within my own. Topic change... I thought quickly. "Answer the question Khushi. So what?" She bit her lips fixing her already perfect form to perfection before replying. "I won fair and square, so now it's time for you to keep your end of the bargain!" She looked expectantly at me... like a child begging for candy. I couldn't help the light smirk that crept up my usually stern lips.
"Hmm... Ok then Khushi Kumari Gupta..." I took a step forward, my eyes full of mischief. "What do you want...?" With every step I took closer to her, she took a step back... that is, until I pinned her against the granite kitchen counter. Her breathing quickened as she looked for a route of escape. There was none. "I-I want..." I edged closer to her causing her balance to suddenly tip. Her hands landed immediately on the countertop, gripping them for support, and without hesitance, I placed my hands over hers. Trapped once again. I grinned. This was almost entertaining.
She gazed at me, speechless. "What is it Khushi...?" I wondered innocently. "Tell me what you want!" With each passing moment, her cheeks grew all the more flushed. I bit back the laugh that sat on the tip of my tongue. "I-I want..."
But her sentence was interrupted by a heart-breaking scream. Khushi's scream. Her flushed face was losing colour rapidly. I moved back immediately, stunned beyond words. "W-What happened Khushi?!" I said, panicked. She moved away from the counter, light sobs escaping her lips. One look at the countertop behind us and I had understood. Before us, was a large, black, poisonous scorpion. I stiffened as I subconciously pulled her closer to me. My arm wound around her slim figure, trying to control her shock. She turned towards me, eyes wide with fear. "Are you ok...?" I whispered, concerned of her safety. She whimpered as she held out her arm.
I watched, dumbfounded as the deep cut in her wrist gave way to a sea of red blood. "I can't feel my hand!" She shrieked while shaking her arm violently. A flood of tears streaked the paling white of her skin. I felt lost... disturbed... and yet, somehow, I managed to take her hand in mine. The skin with the scorpion's bite was swelling ... "Oh my god Khushi!!!!" My body shook as I pulled her with me to the kitchen sink. I frantically searched for something... anything... that could control the ocean of blood. "Khushi!keep talking to me!" I commanded as I reached for a clean towel and dipped it into the cold water. "Arnavji, I don't know what's happening... I feel... oh... oh it hurts!!!!" Her hands quivered as the cold towel touched her skin. Suddenly, I heard the sound of her agonizing wail. And that was enough to strike me that she needed help - and fast. I turned towards her, hoping to offer her the comfort which I didn't have. But one look at her and I lost all words. She looked pale... an unhealthy pale... And her eyes were so distant. I froze, shocked to see her in such a state. "Khushi..." I whispered. But the only response I received was the closing of her pained eyes as she fell limp in my arms.

Well, that's it for now!!! 🤗 I'm planning on writing a second part but I'll only write it if I get the consent from u all!!!! Planning an ArHi confession for the next one if u guys want me to continue!

Ps, I know this part was short, but I'm sure I've told a lot of you that it's exam season... plus a lot of my culminating assignments are due! So I'm pretty busy!!!😆 Was surprised I even got the time to write this!!!! :D
