It was party time. Time to celebrate,time for get together. All the contestant decided to celebrate for their present & for the upcoming future.
Party was in full on mood,when I entered through the door. Shimmering lights, loud music welcomed me in the party. It was good to see people who had been a part of your life. My eyes were searching for someone, may be someone special, which I spotted, running out from the other door.
I followed her and took a halt when I saw her standing, her head in her hands. That's what she always do when she was upset. Shakti was not the one to cry. She was tough, noble and vulnerable. I know she never wants anyone to see her like this. It was difficult for her to escape because of my presence so she just sat still as stone where she was.
She was wiping the tears from her cheeks.
I denoted her "Shakti?"
She looked up to face me and said, "Kunwar, tum yahan kaise?"
"Meine tumhe party se jaate hue dekha so..."
I sat down next to her and put my arm around her shoulder "kya hua, what made u cry?"
"No, I'm not..its...just."
"jhoot bolne ki kohish bhi mat karna because you are not good at that, I know you've been crying. Its okay to cry and you need to know that" though I said her, still her tears were stroking against my heart.
"I hate crying." She snapped at me fiercely.
"I know..aur tum rote hue bilkul bhi achchi ni lagti." I said matter-of-factly. She didn't respond.
"Ab kya hua? You know it very well, I won't go until you tell me the truth..trust me..u'll feel light." I shot at her a pleasant smile.
She looked at me as I felt tears start to form in her eyes again. "He is a jerk"
I nodded understandingly and squeezed her shoulder. She didn't need to say anything else for him to get what had happened.
"Mujhe pata hai Shakti; Puneet is not apt for you; I knew this before but was afraid to tell you. You both have different aspects to look."
"I broke up with him"
I looked confused, "To tum upset kis baat se ho?"
She looked at me in the eye, "Kunwar he played me." her lips trembled, "All along there was another girl. And I never knew. He always used to find some lame reasons to fight with me. How could I be this stupid?" Shakti sobbed as she put her head in her hands again.
"Shakti you are not stupid, stupid to wo hai jisne tumhari importance ni samjhi. And I mean it. You are smart, brave, tough, beautiful inside and out, fiery as your hair, considerate, loving, caring and thoughtful. Tumme wo sab kuch hai jo shayad usne kabhi notice hi ni kia."
She looked up at me.
"Shakti you are not a random girl. You're some kind of special. You are extraordinary in your own way. A way only true friends and people who truly love you notice. You never care what other people think about you but you care what happen to them. You laugh like there is no tomorrow. Shakti, you are an epitome of courage. A quality so many people lack. You have the courage to be yourself and this is what I like in you the most. He doesn't deserve you at all. And I'm sure one day, u'll find someone that will see for who you are and not in which spotlight u enter. I couldn't care less what u've achieved. All I know is that you are some kinda special, Shakti."
Her eyes gleamed as tears running down her cheeks went away. "Thanks Kunwar I needed that." She smiled at me and leaned her head against my shoulder. Not in a romantic kind of way, but of course in a friendly one.
"Anytime, chalo ab bahut ho gaya, we should move inside. You don't have any need to watch him jab tumhare saamne itna handsome guy khada hai." I smirked.
She playfully hit my chest.
"Promise me you'll behave all normal." She watched as she stood up and I looked behind me to say if she was coming or not.
"Kunwar'"
"Hmm??"
"You're the best in this world"
"Kyu..."
She cupped my cheeks "Because you make me laugh so hard, because you're there for me even before I ask...Because u value me even when I'm a loser...Because u understand me, even when I don't understand myself...Because thing were never as much fun as they are now. That's why at the very least; you are the very best." We smiled at each other and with that, we walked back to the party, arms wrapped around each other's shoulders.
