EVENING-

Yashi was completing her sleep which was ruthlessly raided by Dhwani in morning. Dhwani was getting ready to meet Daqsh in park, but was stuck in seraching for yashi's cellphone. She had seen it in afternoon when she got Daqsh's message about meeting in park. But the blinder she comitted was she confided the cellphone to Yashi again. And yashi have a habit of keeping her things so securely, so securely that she herself forgets where she secured them. She is carelessly sleeping, becuase she dosen't have a boyfriend to chit-chat, facetime, wattsapp, facebook etc etc hundreds times a day. But Dhwani did!

Giving up finally, Dhwani started for park, feeling like a nomad in 21^st century- afterall she was not carrying her cellphone.

In park- EVENING.

"Daqsh!" Dhwani called for him in high octaves, in midst of a huge verdent park.

"good evening jaan!" daqsh cosily hugged her.

"kitni derr see wait kerr rahe h aap?'"

"first tell me? Why weren't you picking up my phone?''

"arey voh phone silent per h and according to yashi it is in a very secured place right now. My take on that will we be- her phone is missing."

"missing?"

"dont worry, its her habit of misplcing thing, fortunately she gets them back every time."- she pulled him towards the park.

"come with me?"- daqsh counteracted her force to pull him inside the park.

"i will come with youu anywhere squady? By the way, where are we going?"

"just come."

...

Dhwani jerked ahead when daqsh stopped his bike in front of a Mobile phone store.

"A mobile phone shop"- dhwani pronounced.

"yes, and we are buying you a cellphone right away."

"daqsh!...well due to demonetisation, mer bank-account ke iss week ki limit complete hogayi h, and dosarey bank account ka credit card abhi muje issue nahi hoa h? And just so youu know- i was about to order the cellphone online within few days."

"doesn't matter. We are already on the shop and you are about to get a mobile phone now. I m buying my jaan a phone."

"no!" she pressed her palm to his chest to stop him" but i m not a girlfriend who lavishly spend her boyfriend's wallet."

"o come on jaan!" is body language turned soft. "and what if i want to know - how is my jaan? Where is my jaan? - i can't know it?... don't i deserve it?"

"u r way too cheesy!"- she told deadpanned...atleast tried, but her smiled cheated on her." But i love you anyway, anyhow and anywhere."

"and i love you times two"- without a breaked daqsh declared.

Dhwani blushed. It is very improbable that dhwani don't have words in her mouth, but his flirting brings that improbable time. She was just smiling towards the ground.

"chale?"- her eyes still loitering on the ground in shy.

They purchased a cellphone, and roamed in park in park later.

Before meeting her, Daqsh never felt like need of love in life. But today he missed dhwani in every vacant moment, she filled all his emptyness.even dhwani used to think that her life is happiset- lovely parents, dstinguished career, blessed friendship.. but daqsh changed everything, for better ofcourse. Actuallt for best.

Dhwani is turning into his priority, but that doesn't mean he was unaware of his commitments to indian air force. He was a brisk, interlligent n responsible soldier.

Dhwani is also getting endeavoured for serving Army in medical. In midst of their engagements in respective fields, meeting everyday was not possible. But yes, once they planned to meet, they were totally commited.

One day she came to know he had an intense urge to eat Rajma-Chaval of his mother's hand- his die hard favorite. He tried to eat in a restuarant- but still remianed unsated.

Yashi and dhwani were in good terms with kitchem staff of their academy.

Dhwani requested the staff head for permission to cook by herself. It seems not working.

"uncleji please. Hum tho aapki betiyaan jaisi h...sirf 40 mins.we wont creat any mess.will keep the kitchen very clean. Pakka promise uncle!"- yashi repeated for the 10^th time, literally.

"Yes, yes...word to word yahi karenge!"-dhwani reinforced.

"and in turn, i promise-dhwani will eat lauki-ki-sabzi without any fuss for next 10 times, no shouts and cry"-yashi threw in the trump card, verbally.

"yes, yes... same to same..."-dhwani flowed with yashi,..but, wait!!.. lauki-ki-sabzi-for-10-times-no-fuss??- all in one sentence??? "no way!.."

"yes way!"

"no! No!...that can just not happen!"

"ofcourse it will happen"-she confidently spoke to the head cook, followed by wispering a blackmail to dhwani "rajma-chaval...daqsh kk liye?"

Dhwani was lip-sealed, as she busied her lips to pout."not fair"

"everything is fair in love..."

"well in that case.."-spoke the head-cook"i agree". He agreed long back, but just was enjoying making dhwani n yashi whine. Its just fair- they eat his ears off for making lauki-ki-sabzi and and for not making gulab jamun everyday.

Dhwani looked at yashi sternly. She was okay with yashi convincing the head cook but was not at all convined that she has to surrender to lauki-ki-sabzi!... some soldier she would be.

Within 35 mins the rajma-chaval were cooked, dhwani did it with lots of love for daqsh and all the hatred for lauki-kisabzi. Since she was annoyed as hell with yashi, so as to recompanse yashi had to do the cleaning up.

EVENING (PARK)

"its yummy jaan!...maa ki yaad dila di!"-daqsh genuinely praised, while stuffing his mouth with another spoon of rajma-chval. They were chatting with each other on a bench and this was the best thing he could say about dhwani's cooking. It was almost impoosble for boys to keep their wife's cooking next to their mother, and dhwani got it before marriage- that certainly says something.

"my life is set boss. I m going to have a wife who can cook so good, i will be in heaven"-he was trying to speak and chew simultaneaously, he could be such a kiddo at times.dhwani had no idea about other men, but daqsh's way to heart certainly followed after his stomach.

He lives ina residential indian air force complex, just next to head quarters. Familes of soldier were well settled, having wives perparing great food in houses, but daqsh used to eat almost all his meals in mess of head-quarters.

"rajma-chaval, its my favorite!"

"i can see that!"- dhwani really fount it entertainly with the speed he was gorging the meal.

"badi maa k bhi favorite hai"

"aur bataao naa badi maa k baare mein!"- she asked eagerly.

Daqsh raised his hand to indicate halt and cram one more spoon of his"heaven on earth meal"

Dhwani didn't even pretended to be patient while glaring him.

Daqsh smirked on her curiosity.well how could he deny his love the curiosity of knowing her future family.

"badi maa bhot jyada traditional h. Not just in house, poorey village mein she has dominance. And, she is not so comfortable with love marriages."he said on serious note.

"what??!!"

"yeah!..but you dont worry, raghav bhaaiya ne bhi tho love-marriage ki h"

She breathed, it was safe to breathe now.

"badi maa ko thoda convince kerna padega, kerr lenge!.. meri jaan k liye sab kerr-lenge!"-he winked to her, the continued- with his meal and talking "unhe jyada padhi-likhi daughter in law nahi chachiye"

It was safe to breathe now??-no. Scratch that...she halted to breathe again.

Daqsh found her breathing game amusing. But he didn't want her to have panic attack.

"but sia bhabhi bhi tho lawyer...badi maa ko thoda aur convince kerna padega! Ker lenge."

She took a slow and shallow breathe.she had a suspicion that it was not safe yet to breathe openly.

"i think she will not approve a daughter-in-law working outside the city too!.. and tum tho army mein rahker- bhot alag alagg cities mein posting karogi!"

She damn knew its not safe to breathe. Her mind bombabrded with thoughts and ideas of negative types. Daqsh could literally feel her anxiety- her beautiful face was like open book for him. He showed some mercy to her.

He placed the rajma-chaval aside, and cupped her face in his both hands.."don't worry jaan!.. mein hoon na!" he looked in her eyes,he could see the vibrancy of uncertainity in her oceanic deep eyes."listen! their will be hurdles and difficulties. But their is certainly one sure short event in future- our marriage. We are worth it. We are worth everything. You are worth everything, jaan. We will never give up on us, on our perfect!"

She smiled immediately" you are such a sweet talker!"she flirted.

"that i m madam! How else do you thinked i bugged the most beautiful lady with a sass that drives me insane and talks to me with her crazy eyes, and makes my life ever-vibrant with her antics as my girlfriend?"

"are we talking about me?"

"who else?" this was a duh!-moment

"i drive u insane?"- dhwani asked iwth eyes wide open

"and talks to me with crazy eyes, too"

"and i do antics?"

"its a compliment jaan!.."

"from which angle?"- she talked with sass.

"from my heart's"

There goes her sass!...

She ignored.

He fondled her cheeks and promised-"jokes apart. Jab takk mein hun- u wont be compromising with anything in life. Your wishes, demands, desire and wants are mine to fulfil.

She banked her face in his tepid palm lovingly. She caught his palm with her hands and pressed lightly to her lips."its not about my wishes and dreams. Its about i want to eligible for you in alll aspects. I want to be your perfect one. For a successful soldier-emotionaly, financially, skillfully. I want to be share our lives, our responsibilities,duties,expenses, our love like a life partner has to be. Its about you don't deserve any less. I want to excel in everthing just for you."she talked her heart out.

Right now daqsh was gazing her with overwehlming admiration, it was hard to tell her how beautiful she looked talking about their future together.

Future together... thats sounds so right.

"i love you jaan!"he couldnt stop himself to recompanse her love.

She pulled herself closer to him, hugged his left arm and leaned her head on his shoulder, closer her eyes and sighed.

After affectionately tapping her head crown twice, he continued with muching his rajma chaval.

Few months later...

"Squady?"-she panically said to her cellphone.

"hey jaan!"-he cooed.

That spontaneously made her panic lesser.

"daqsh ek sad news hai"

"hmm" he acknowledged who was very engrossed in learning the analysis of a brand new fighter plane, still under trail of DRDO (defence reserach and devepolment organisation)

"mom mere liye ladka dhundh rahi hai!"-she timidly crepitated.

"uh-hmm" he hummed again with not a pinch of attanetion to dhwani. He had an urgent meeting today-whether or not the new fighter plane should be recruited in their region. His ears could collect the soundwaves from electronic device, but his brain didn't even try to cerebrise it.

"kya uh-hmm?"-she crisped

"hm-hmm"- he repeated his tone. Evrything was comming out nicely in his file about the new fighter plane. He was certainly in favor of recruiting it.

"are you even listening to me?"

"hmm"

Dhwani sincerely doubted it. She glared at her phone. She put it back to her ear and said- "okay fine! Do as much hmm' u want to" she angrily retorted ". Rejoice then, when my babies will call you-hello uncleji!"-sass she attached to it insinuted a taunt.

Hints= rejoice +dhwani's babies +calling me+ uncleji...wait... no sense made there.

He stated confusedly-" i think you have got it all wrong"

Finally something other than -hmm. Atlast

"your babies will call me papa!"-he completed that confidently.

"kaise bolebge if i get married to some other man"

"shadi!!! Kisi aur sey?"- he stood up in shock. His interest in dhwani's words picked up.

"yeah! Coz mom ladka dhundh rahi h mere liye..?"she reinforced providing the logic to daqsh."did it ring some bells.."

"tumne muje yeh pehele kyun nahi bataya!"-he blemed.

Her jaw dropped." Then what the freaking hell was i blabbering since then, mr squady?"-she asked so sweetly, and inexpirenced man would have actually pegged it for sweetness.

But daqsh knew well, that its not the time to put a retort in field there. He didn't talk

"you were not listening to me!" she stated unbelievable.

He reman speechless.

"even i will not listen to you"-she kiddishly stomped her foot.

"okay fine, listen. Abhi muje ek important meeting mein jaana hai. But please, do a flight reservation for me online, and email it. Whattsapp me the screenshot of options available prior ot it. Use the defence qouta if available. Thiik h?"

"thik hai."she listened obidiently.

See- she can be mature, when time came.

"and jaan! Your babies will call me papa!"- he affirmed cockily.

"you are impoosible squady. Itni tension mein bhi you can flirt with me?' she hopelessly asked.

"not just flirt. I can do anythiing with you anytime i want!"-he philandered."afterall, you are under my magic"

She had no words to utter when she was helplessly smiling to the ground, with blushed cheeks.

"bye"- she spoke.

"tum mommy! Mein pap!"

"bye"

"just so you know i need a baby girl-just like you and a baby boy- whose brain works like you."

"bye"

"hum do, humarey do"

Bbyyyeee!"- she finally ended the call. She was feeling hot all over.

She jumped her bed and hide her face in pillow from the world.

Her cellphone pinged. A text message. From daqsh.

Few hours later(hostel) 11:30pm

"so? Kitne ladke dekh liye hai tumahrii momm ne tumhare liye?"-yashi asked with real attention on her textbook. She was leing relaxed on her bed, with textbook on her laps.

This is what happens to every student in any field. They spend all the normal waking hours on their phones, laptops, roaming in hostel premises aimlessly, dozing off in between, gorging fast foods or real meals and those who had boyfriends-girlfriends- they did...what boyfriend-girlfriends do. Everything except studying. Then at 11pm your guilt arisies- you have spend the whole day vainly. You sit with textbook- take an hour more to set your mood to study, when you start studying its time to sleep as you have an early class tomorrow.you keep the textbook aside, and lay down on bed- even then you dont sleep till u have updates on whattsapp, facebook, instagram,hike, twitter..and whatnot. An hour passes waste. You resolve to study from tomorrow and tomorrow never comes.

Dhwani and yashi were with their newly arose guilt, mentioned above.

"may be a couple of guys"

"WHAT?? A couple of guys?"-she screamed, while hooping up on her bed.

Dhwani was terrified.

Yashi jumped from her bed to dhwani's and clasped dhwani. After a corecive hug, she held a confued as hell dhwanii in front of her.

"don't worry darling! I wont let your mother do this to you. I wont let her confide you to any couple of guys' " yashi showed her complete loyality of friends.

Dhwani stayed confused.

What the hell is happening...

"i will tell your mother -our dhwani she is NOT a threesome' kind of girl."- yashi added.

Nopes.

Still confused, messy confused.

Yashi nodded and pulled her to one more corecive bear hug and tried to pacify dhwani while tapping her head.

"dosen't she know- that gay,lesbian are still not legal in India ?"- yashi said while continuing soothing dhwani for a reason she didn't understand.

Gay????

Wait.. where did that come from?

Seriously??

Its took dhwani 256 seconds to make this connection, and this rediculous connection was made by yashi in a nanosecond.

That... THAT... certainly said something about yashi's innovative mind. Or impossible and unbelievable mind

"no no noo!!"-dhwani resisted her hug" you are taking me wrong. Couple of guys matlab..two guys, separately. At different time." She said in a calming voice "very far apart guys."-she added while moving her hands in opposite directions.

Nothing happened.

Still nothing happened.

"o"-yashi said with her eyebrow jumping just once.

Yes"-dhwani encouraged.

"ooohhh!"yashi got it. She got it.

"yeah!"- dhwani smiled positively.

"double meaning words"-yashi provided, while retracting from dhwani.

"i understand, totally"

Yashi turned and left dhwani bed "tumne tho muje dara hi diya tha."yashi said.

Look who is talking??

Dhwani watched yashi settle on her bed, in her previous position liesurely. She could stilll not believe the incredulity of existence of world most unique piece- AKA yashi!!..

this is for those who were so waiting for conclusion of dhwani and daqsh. i totally acknowledge your wait. i feel sorry for your long wait, each and everyone who was waiting. its just that- my life, my career took priority. but its not totally justified to halt the story like that. still, show some mercy to me, your little rashu!.
