Chapter 12

Shakti slowly opened her eyes when she was awakened by the rays of sunlight hitting her face. She groaned in irritation and slumped back into bed burrowing her head into the pillow. After some tossing and turning she sat up. Her head felt like it weighed a million pounds and she had an awful headache. She had been trying to sleep it off but all to no avail.

She sat there for a while hoping the headache would go away on its own when she finally looked around and realized she wasn't in her own room. 'What the hell? Where am I?' She looked around and saw a couple of picture frames on the opposite wall. Realization hit her. She had been here before. 'Oh. Kunwar's room. But what am I doing here?' She climbed outta bed and went into the bathroom to freshen up.

After a while she finally came out and went off to look for Kunwar.

He was sitting in the living room with Dharmesh watching some music videos on TV. She felt a little awkward and self conscience because she knew she had been drunk last night but she didn't remember what she had done or said. She put on a brave face and decided to make her presence known.

Amar was sitting there watching some insanely awesome hip hop videos with Dharmesh when they both heard someone softly clear her throat. They both turned to see Shakti standing there with a sheepish expression.

Amar noticed that she had changed out of her sexy, body-hugging red dress and put on a pair of his shorts and a t-shirt. Even in boy clothes she looked irresistable. There was just a different kind of pleasure for a guy to see his girlfriend in his clothes.

"Um good morning guys." Shakti greeted a little awkwardly.

"Actually it's afternoon" Amar smirked at her surprised face.

"What?! I've been knocked out for so long?"

"Yea!" Amar said in mock worry. "Dharmesh and I were considering taking you to a doctor to make sure if you would actually wake up or not." Both guys cracked up.

"HA HA! Very funny Kunwar" she retorted sarcastically. "Oh no! We missed shoot!" she suddenly exclaimed.

"Relax, I called Palki and she said that's its fine, they can manage without us." Amar assured her.

She sighed in relief before plopping down next to Dharmesh and focusing her attention on the TV. Her headache was getting worse and she didn't have enough strength to keep her head up, but still she didn't say anything and started conversing with Dharmesh.

Amar noticed the discomfort on her face and realized that something was wrong with her. He figured she must be experiencing her first hangover and wasn't liking it.

Shakti was fighting with Dharmesh since he was teasing her about last night when Kunwar approached her.

"Let's go." he extended his hand out waiting for her to take it.

She looked at him questioningly, "Where?" she asked placing her hand in his even before he could answer.

He pulled her off the couch and led her away from the living room and into the kitchen. He let go of her hand and walked over to the refridgerator to get some food out.

"You must be hungry since you missed breakfast and that hangover must be bothering you as well." he explained as he gathered the ingredients for their lunch. "After you eat I'll give you some painkillers to fix the headache."

Shakti watched Kunwar in awe wondering how he knew exactly what she was feeling without her having to say anything. She was at loss of words so she just quietly stood there while he moved around the kitchen preparing their lunch.

When he was done he turned to her and motioned for her to come over.

"Eat" he ordered.

Shakti just continued to look at him, her eyes a little moist from emotion. He noticed the tears and instantly rushed over to her.

"What's wrong sweetheart? Is the headache bothering you too much?" he questioned franticly.

Shakti could barely speak as her throat felt thick with emotion. She had been trying her best to control herself but finally gave up and burst into tears, flunging herself into Kunwar's arms.

Amar was freaking out because he felt extremely helpless at the moment. He hated seeing her upset and here she was bawling like a child and he didnt even know what to do that would give her comfort. He held her tightly and caressed her arms trying to calm her down.

"Please Shakti, tell me what's wrong? Please? I'm sorry. Whatever it is that's upsetting you just tell me and I'll fix it" he pleaded.

Finally she spoke. Her voice was a little muffled since her face was tucked into his chest but he still heard her. "I love you Kunwar" she continued to wail. "You're such a caring person...and.. and I feel so fortunate... that you care so much for me...Thank you Kunwar" she continued to weep.

Amar sighed in relief. He wasn't sure whether he should be happy that she was okay and nothing serious was upsetting her or whether he should be angry that she had scared him with all that crying.

Shakti was holding onto Kunwar with all her strength trying to convey all her love and appreciation for him through her embrace when she heard him chuckle. She looked up at him curiously.

"Silly girl. You practically gave me a heart attack and then made up for it in a minute with your sweet words" he lovingly hugged her back tucking her head into his neck and resting his chin on top of her head. "I love you Shakti. You truly are my better half. I just want one thing from you. Will you give it to me?" he asked pulling her at arms length so he could look into her beautiful eyes.

Shakti gazed back curiously wondering what he wanted. "Just stay with me forever okay?" he said. A huge smile automatically spread across her face. "Forever" she promised.

He smiled back and adoringly kissed her forehead before pulling her to the kitchen counter.

"Alrite enough of all the emotional talk. Eat now" he handed her a plate and took the other one for himself. They both climbed onto the counter top and sat together, enjoying their lunch and each other's company.

After a while when they were just finishing up their lunch, Dharmesh walked in.

"I'm gonna go get Vaishnavi and Jeetumoni and bring them over to stay here tonight since we have to get to the airport tomorrow morning. It'll make things easier for us."

"That's a great idea" Amar replied.

"Omg I'm so excited. We're all going to Macau!!!" Shakti exclaimed. She was really excited about this trip since Kunwar was going to be with her.

"You guys done with your packing?" Dharmesh asked them.

"OH SHIT!" both exclaimed at the same time. They looked at each other in panic mode.

Dharmesh chuckled "Yup. You both are definitly made for each other" he remarked before leaving.

Amar had gone into full hyper mode while Shakti thought about how to do damage control. Finally she came up with an idea. In the mean time Amar had gone into his room and made a huge mess pulling everything out and not knowing what to pack and freaking out because they were running out of time.

Shakti strolled into his room and paused in shock. It looked like a hurricane had come and hit his room. She noticed Kunwar running all over the place. She grabbed his arm trying to calm him down.

"Kunwar, listen. Stop panicking. I called Neeti di and asked her to pack my stuff since she knows what I need and I'll stay here and help you pack, that way we can get everything done quickly. Just tell me what you need and want to take and I'll pack them for you. That way we'll finish faster" she reassured him.

Amar let out a breath in relief. "Thank god you're here" he said and gave her a quick kiss before going into the closet and pulling out a suitcase.

They worked together for the next hour packing and organizing all of Amar's clothes and other necessities. Finally when they both finished they were quite exhausted.

Amar lay flat on his back on the bed while Shakti walked about the room putting away some last minute stuff. He just watched her for a minute. It astonished him how she could manage to be so beautiful in even her simple attire. She was wearing his clothes with no make up and bed hair yet she was still the most stunning girl he had ever laid eyes on.

When she was walking near the bed he grabbed her arm and pulled. She lost her balance and fell onto him.

"Kunwar what are you doing?" she asked a little annoyed. "We have so much to do and your fooling around?"

"Actually we're kinda finished so you dont really have an excuse to get away" Amar replied mischeviously.

Shakti opened her mouth instinctively to retort back but shut it when she realized he was right. Her heart rate picked up it's pace and set off at full speed. She looked away from Kunwar's eyes since they were mesmerizing her. Instead she tried to pull away from his embrace but in vain. It only made him tighten his grip around her waist. He rolled them over so he was on top of her, trapping her more securely without any way for escape.

"Kunwar what are you doing?" Shakti scolded.

He grabbed both her hands into his and pulled them upwards trapping them above her head. He held both her hands in one of his and with his free hand he ran the tips of his fingers lightly across the soft skin of her neck.

Shakti couldn't help but softly moan in pleasure since the sensation of his fingers were just magnificent. She arched her neck up a little, exposing more flesh for his fingers to caress.

Amar watched her reaction to his touch in amusement loving how she craved for him. He leaned down and rewarded her with a soft press of his lips on her neck. He then slowly skimmed his way up to her face until he reached her lips. He looked into her eyes and saw anticipation. He smiled a little and decided to tease her a little before he gave her what she wanted.

Shakti waited for Kunwar to finally close the space between their lips but instead he just gave a smile and turned his head to the side and pressed kisses along her cheek. She stiffened a little in confusion. Why wasn't he kissing her? She turned her head trying to capture his lips but he moved away at the last second and ran his nose along her jawline instead. She let out a sigh in frustration. She couldn't even pull him close since he still held onto her hands.

Amar inwardly chuckled as he noticed Shakti's frustration build. He knew what she wanted but he was making sure her desire reached its peak before he finally succumbed and gave her what she wanted.

Shakti couldn't take it anymore. "Kunwar.." she said in a complaining manner. "Please?" she pleaded.

Amar looked up. "You want me to stop?" he asked innocently.

Shakti almost shouted "NO!"

Amar looked at her in amusement. "Then why are you saying please?" He was seriously enjoying this.

"Ugh! Just pleasee!" Shakti was feeling embarrassed as she didnt want to say out loud exactly what she wanted but she was also dying to get it. She finally gave up. "Dammit KISS ME ALREDY!"

Amar chuckled and couldnt hold back anymore. He meshed his lips with hers and an explosion of pure bliss and relief washed through them. They both felt complete as if that one kiss was all they needed to survive. Right now for them this kiss was more necessary than food, water, or even oxygen. Shakti parted her lips letting him in. Their tongues sparred for a while as they explored each other.

Finally Amar pulled away, allowing them both to catch their breaths. He released her hands and rolled off her. They both turned to their sides facing each other and Amar wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her against his body till the tip of her nose was against his neck. She snuggled into the warmth of his embrace, cherishing the feel of being adored by the man she loved.

They lay there in each others arm for a while. Now that they had eased some of their desire they could afford to go a little slower.

Amar tilted Shakti's head up so he could see her face. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her right eye and then her left. Then he kissed the tip of her nose until finally he reached her lips.

He was kissing her so tenderly that Shakti was feeling like the most cherished girl in the world. While he showed her his affection like that Shakti realized just how much he cared for her. She was finally beginning to realized just how much he meant to her. Right then and there she decided that she loved and trusted him more than anyone.

They were still kissing each other passionately when they heard the front door open and Dharmesh and the kids coming in.

"Amar bhaiya, Shakti di" Vaishnavi and Jeetumoni called.

Shakti quickly pulled away in case they came running in here. She scrambled to the edge of the bed but before she could get away Amar grabbed her arm refusing to let go.

Shakti looked at him pleadly, "Kunwar choro. The kids are here and they can come in any second and the door isnt even locked."

"I'll let go under one condition" Amar replied with a mischevious glint in his eyes.

"Anything" Shakti promised in desperation.

Amar let go of her hand. "Okay I'll tell you what it is later."

Shakti looked at him suspiciously but let it drop and quickly walked out to greet the kids. Amar followed close behind.

They were gonna board their flight in half an hour. Shakti was sitting in the terminal with Vaishnavi and Jeetumoni while Dharmesh and Amar had gone to get breakfast. Shakti's parents and sisters had just left after bidding everyone a safe journey and she was sitting there giving the kids company.

After a while the guys returned and they all ate and got ready to board the plane. They took their seats. Dharmesh was sitting in the middle row with Vaishnavi and Jeetumoni while Amar and Shakti sat in the next row by the windows.

The plane was ready for take off and Shakti buckled up. No matter how many times she got on a plane the gut clenching fear during take off was always present. She travelled a lot yet she never got used to the fear that took hold of her when she was on a plane.

Amar was leaning to the side conversing with Dharmesh while the plane got ready for take off. He leaned back into his seat and looked over at Shakti. She was stiffly sitting still with her eyes tightly shut together and her lips were slightly quivering. He looked at her in shock.

"Shakti what's wrong?" he caressed her cheek. She opened her eyes startled as if she'd forgotten he was beside her. There was panic in her eyes.

"Um noth..nothing.." Shakti stammered.

The plane had began to move and jerked a little making Shakti flinch and grab Amar's arm. He realized what the problem was. He turned her face towards him and looked deep into her eyes.

"Shh, relax. Dont think about it. Just look at me and think about me, okay? I'm right here, beside you. Nothing will happen." he assured her. He leaned in close til their foreheads touched. Shakti closed her eyes and took deep breaths while Amar ran his hand along her arm trying to keep her calm.

After a while she finally relaxed. They stayed like that until the plane steadied. Finally Amar pulled back a little making Shakti open her eyes.

"There, you see, it's all over now." he smiled and kissed the top of her head. Shakti smiled and leaned her head onto his shoulder. He was right, when Shakti was with her Kunwar than no one could cause either of them any harm.
