"Nahin, hum ro thodi na rahe hain, ye toh Khushi ke aansoo hain." Khushi said wiping her tears to Anjali.

"Chote ne tumko pareshaan toh nahin kiya na Khushi?" Anjali asked her.

"Nahin, wo bohot acche hain. Hum abhi aate hain." Saying this Khushi turned to go upstairs.

"Devi Maiyya, in donon ki Jodi humesha banaye rakhein" Anjali said to herself.

Khushi entered the room. The bed was still decorated with rose petals and she could see Arnav sleeping on one side of the bed. She went near him and forwarded her hand to wake him up but remembering something, she pulled it back but Anjali had asked her to wake Arnav for the puja. She then gently shook Arnav on his shoulders. Arnav opened his eyes and saw her standing in front on him. Arnav sat and shouted, "Maine kaha tha na…"

Hearing such a high pitch of voice, Khushi stepped back and tears rolled down from her eyes. "Wo..Anjali didi ne puja ke liye bulaya hai." She said in her faint voice. Arnav threw the comforter and went away to the washroom. Khushi kept looking at him until the door closed. She picked up the comforter, folded it and placed it at its right position.

After Arnav got ready, both of them came downstairs.

"Arre, dekho chote aur Khushi bhi aa gayye" Nani said.

Shyam looked at Khushi from top to bottom. Anjali made them sit for the hawan.

"Donon var vadhu ke sukhi jevan ke liye ye hawan kiya jaata hai." Nani told Arnav and Khushi. Khushi looked at Arnav from the side of her eyes but Arnav was disinterested in everything, he was sitting there just for the sake of Anjali and Nani.

After the puja completed, everyone was sitting in the hall. Arnav came downstairs wearing his formal suit with some files in his hands.

"Arre arnav bitua, aap kahaan jaa rahe hain." Nani asked.

Arnav looked at Khushi who was holding a tray of glasses in her hands and looking at him.

"Office" he replied bluntly.

"Chote, kal shaadi hui hai aur tum office chal diye, Khushi ke baare mein toh socho." Anjali said

Hearing that Khushi looked down and started serving everyone water.

"Di, I have an important meeting." Arnav said and moved out.

"Ye, chote bhi na. Khushi humaara chote thoda aisa hi hai, par ab tum aa gayi ho na, humein pata hai wo badal jaayega. Tumhein bura toh nahin laga na." Anjali said caressing Khushi's hairs.

Khushi smiled and nodded her head in NO.

Anjali went to the kitchen and Khushi served water to Shyam. Shyam held her hand as she was holding the glass. Khushi felt awkward on his touch. She tried to free her hand from his grip but his grip was strong. As Anjali came, Shyam left her hand.

Khushi was standing in front of the mirror. She looked at the table beneath the mirror. Among the men's cologne, after shave only a small box of sindoor was kept. In the reflection of mirror, she could see her trunk which was not even unpacked. She opened the wardrobe to find some place for her stuff. All she could find was Arnav's belongings in the three wardrobes. She closed them and came near her trunk. She slided it down under the bed and made sure the room looked clean and tidy.

In the evening, Nani called Khushi. "Khushi beta, humaare yahaan meetha banana ka raasam hai, tum kya banaaoge."

"Nani, aap jo kahein hum bana denge."

"Nahin Khushi, tumhein jo pasand ho wo bana lo"

"Toh hum Jalebi banaye?" Khushi said with a smile on her face.

"Haan zaroor beta."

"Arnav Ji khaate hain Jalebi?"

"Beta, ussko meetha mana hai"

Khushi's lips which were curved up into a smile became flat and she turned to go towards the kitchen.
