As soon as the song ended, Mishti's house arrived and she got out, but after giving Angad a long kiss. Kripa shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Angad saw this and smiled.

"Two can play that game Kripa, two can play that game." He said, smirking.

They arrived at the house and were greeted by an ecstatic Naina, who didn't seem to be aware that they both were late because of detention.

"HI YOU TWO!" she exclaimed. Kripa and Angad looked at each other and grimaced.

"Hey Mom" Angad said, and started walking in the house.

"Angad! Come back here!" Naina called. Kripa stood by the door, waiting.

"What, Mom?" Angad turned around and asked.

"You still have to go mow the lawn" Naina reminded him Angad frowned.

"But Mom…." He started.

"No ifs, buts, or pleases. Go mow right now." She said sternly. Angad scowled and walked out the door, barely glancing at Kripa on his way out.

"So Kripa darling, how was your first day?" Naina asked Kripa.

"Good." Kripa answered vaguely. She didn't really want to talk right now.

"Oh. Well I was wondering-"she started, only to be cut off by Kripa.

"Aunty, im so sorry for interrupting you, but I have a lot of work. Some of the stuff

that they did here last year wasn't in my curriculum back in NYC, so I have to review that if I want to maintain my all-honors schedule."

Naina nodded solemnly. "Yes, yes. You're right. And remember beta, if you ever need help, ask Panna or Angad."

Kripa knew Panna was smart but Angad?!

"Angad?" Kripa questioned.

"Oh yes honey, he's very smart. Isn't he in all your classes too?"

"Yes, but I thought…." She trailed of. She had been to busy making him jealous to notice that he was in all of the high level classes.

"Anyway, you go on upstairs. Ill make sure that no one disturbs you. Just come down for dinner; it's a big deal in our house."

"Sure Aunty. Thank you"

Kripa headed upstairs and went in her room. Taking off her jeans and tank, she changed into comfy black sweats and a white wife beater. She did this everyday, whenever she came home. It never seemed right for her to sit and work comfortably in her house with jeans on.

She turned on her wall-mounted TV and checked her tiVo for the latest recordings. She played a show, and absentmindly turned on her iBook.

She logged on to AIM, and saw that there wasn't really anyone she wanted to talk to that was on. Sighing, she opened her myspace page, checked all her comments. Replied to them and just fooled around for a while, then repeated the same with face book. It was her daily routine to do this. Finally she checked her email, seeing one from her friend, asking her to continue her Guide to Guys.
