'Di kya hogaya aap itne pareshan kyon lag rahe ho?' Arnav asked wondering why his Di was upset. He had never seen her like this the past 10 months she had been brave and strong about her break up with Shyam and had divorced him. She had been the positiveness in this family when everyone was upset about the events that had happened with Arnav-Lavanya engagement breakup followed by Shyam's deception and Anjali divorcing him. But today she looked so flustered and worried.
'Chotte Khushi-ji gayab hai' she said as soon as he entered in the living room.
It was like she had punched him! Arnav was shocked to hear about Khushi from his sister. What the heck did she know where Khushi was he wondered.
'Haan ji she has gone missing since Akash-Payal's engagement'. 'Remember no one knows where she is even her family she did not even attend the wedding'.'Maybe she is ashamed to show her dirty face to us all considering how she enticed jiju he finished'.
'Chotte chup kar' screamed Anjali. 'Khushi-ji was as big a victim as me in your jiju's fiasco chotte'. 'I don't know why you won't believe her'. 'Its time I made you listen to some hard truths' she said firmly and went inside.
She got a cheque for 3L signed by KKG and threw it in his face. It was paid out to him. Arnav was shocked to see that.
'Surprised?'. 'You hurt her self respect chotte, what you did to her was very cruel if she had not stopped me from interfering I would have slapped you long ago' she
finished. Arnav was shocked she had told his di everything?
'Chotte she has been in my care the past 8 months so that you won't find her and torture her anymore'. In these 8 months she has been coaching herself in english and IT skills. She got a job and did part time learning. She saved every penny and made this cheque out to you last week. Her debt is over she said and gave it to me to give it to you. 'I have never seen anyone more determined or hard working than her'. 'Hats off to the girl who stood up to you with such self-respect chotte'. 'Di okay fine she returned the money but that does not change the fact that she enticed jiju and broke your marriage she did think she could have a easy life di'.
'Stop it chotte , just stop it!'. 'If she wanted an easy life she need not have gone to work and study now all she had to do was prove she was carrying your child and could've asked for millions from us!'.
Arnav was shocked!. 'What did you say di?' he whispered.
'Haan chotte, that is why she left you because she got pregnant and she was terrified in your anger if you came to find out you might see her as using her child to get more money from you and ask her to abort'. 'I found out the night she came here the poor girl was alone and terrified'. 'After a week when things had calmed down she did realize that she could not keep this from you no matter what as you were the father'. 'She came to your office to tell you, I don't know what you said she did'nt speak to anyone for a week after that!' She tried calling you but you never took her calls. 'She was fine and in touch with me all this while'.
'I spoke to her an hour ago and she said the lights had gone out all of a sudden in the apartment'. 'I am unable to reach her since then'. 'I am sure she would not go anywhere without calling me!'. 'The fact that is worrying me is Shyam got out on bail yesterday , I got a call from our lawyer and I am wondering if he got to Khushi'.
'Chotte if you want to do anything for me find her please find her, she is in her 9th month of pregnancy and can deliver any moment I don't want Shyam torturing her anymore just find her chotte' she screamed.
Arnav was stunned and could not believe what his di had told him. The vulnerable look on her face on the day of the party. The calls she had made. The last month his heart telling him she needed him. God he had ignored all and everything and had just seen what he wanted to see. 'Will there be any forgiveness for what he had done?' 'No Arnav!! Khushi was right he could never look at himself in the mirror ever again!'. He slammed the walls and took out his mobile.
'Victor I have a situation and need you ASAP' he barked into the phone.

'What are the gasp sounds Victor?'. 'Why is Khushi so breathless has she been hurt?' he asked.
'Arnav I think she is has gone into labour'. 'I think it happens when they are in terrifying situations!'. 'I will have to call relevant medics so that she gets help as soon as we get rid of Shyam'.
'Victor, I want her alive at any cost!!!!'. 'Take as much money as you want and call in as much help but I need her alive out of that damn place where Shyam has her!' he shouted and for the first time in his life realized that money could not bring back a person alive if needed. 'Khushi she had told him that he would realized this someday and what a day to realized this' he thought. 'Khushi please hang in there I am coming...please...'. He looked up and said 'DEvi Maiyya please protect my Khushi and help me save her and our child please he whispered for the first time praying...'
