~Prologue~

The thunder clapped loudly in the dark sky as rain hit the windows of a big, white house. Inside the house stood a woman, watching the rain with no emotion on her face.

She turned away from the window, walking to the enormous book shelf in her study. She grabbed a book off the third shelf, sitting down on a soft armchair in front of a blazing fire place.

The woman opened the book, revealing many pictures of herself and another person: a handsome young man. She just looked at them, her fingers running over the pictures. "Why aren't you back yet?" she whispered.

He had left a year ago, left her waiting in her home in Chicago. But she was tired of waiting, and she was sure he was tired of waiting too.

The woman came to her favorite picture--a picture of the two of them in each other's arms in front of a tall, lit up Christmas tree in downtown Chicago, snow alling gently to the ground.

"Don't worry, Armaan. We'll be together again. Very, very soon."
