CHAPTER – 6

Churu felt a little cold when she opened her eyes in the morning. But why was she sleeping on the floor? And then it hit her. Again! Sighing she got up taking support of the couch and lazily went for getting fresh.

She was under the shower when she heard a loud bang at the door.

"What the hell. Get out of my bathroom", he shouted from outside.

Charu rolled her eyes as he again started that my house – my room – my bed – and now my bathroom drama. Calming her self she said, "Just wait a little."

"I had already waited for an hour. Are you coming out or not?"

"Can't you be patient for a second and allow me some peace?" she asked irritated.

"Why? Are meditating in there?" he snapped and then added, "Now come out. It's urgent."

Charu sniggered at his plea and then asked playfully, "Are you requesting me?"

"Look, don't spoil my mood early morning. Come out at once." he ordered impatiently.

"OK. Then wait for another hour."

She heard another annoyed bang at the door "Fine, I am leaving. This isn't the only bathroom in this house. But let me tell you there's no point in trying."

Trying for what? She thought confused before he added, "Your horrible appearance won't change a bit even if you keep bathing till next week." With a final irate bang at the door, he left.

Wrapping the towel around her, she glanced at the mirror in the bathroom 'Does she look that bad?'

"Adi take Charu along with you to college." Sarojini said when he was about to leave.

With his bag hanging on one side, he protested "She can go in some other car."

"All the drivers are on a holiday. So just take her with you. Alright?"

She smiled as he agreed half heartedly. Sanjay looked to his mother all confused and understood her plan in the next instant. There wasn't any holiday. She just wanted them to spend time together.

Adi too knew his grandma too well to have any doubts. But it was good only in some way as he had something important to clear out…

Not a word was spoken all the way to college. All Charu could think was what if any of her friends spotted her with him. What would all others think if they find her getting out of his car? They may assume that she is one of his innumerable girlfriends. That would be disgusting. But in a way that assumption was way safer than the reality.

Adi, on the other hand, was also lost today. He had been with every variety of this specie called 'girls'. But in a way each one seemed alike. But why did she appear different. Was it her looks? No. She was pretty but… Was it her nature? No ways. She was irritatingly childish. A complain box. Then what?

He stopped the car outside the college gate bringing Charu to her senses. She was about to step out when he spoke "Charu, I have to talk to you."

"About what?" she asked confused, mentally checking if any of her acquaintances were around.

"Look, I don't want you to speak anything about us in college" he ordered with authority that inflamed her.

"About us? There's nothing between us. What are talking about?" She asked coldly.

Was she testing his patience? Or was it her way of agreeing with him?

"Fine let me put it this way then. I don't want you to use my name as your publicity stunt. Now you get it?" he asked frowning.

Her eyes widened in astonishment. "If your name is ever attached with mine, that would only defame me", she retorted.

He sniggered and then asked, "Does any one even notice you? You first need to have some fame for getting defamed."

"Oh yes I am not as famous as you. But you know what? If I need to make a record of a dozen affairs a week for that then I am sorry, I am genuinely not interested."

"You don't have an option. For all that you need both looks and mind, quite aliens to your personality. And by the way it's just ten a week", he said coolly.

She shook her head "You are just impossible."

"I know that. And if you don't have any thing else to say then just get out of my- "

"I know it's your car" she snapped getting out of the car.

Adi gazed at the retreating figure of the offended girl. A lazy smile came to his slightly pink lips. So he found out what was so different in the girl.

She didn't like him. In fact in that respect even hated him to some extent. He was used to girls melting at his one penetrating gaze… girls falling head over heels for his one glance. But she was always repelled by him, forget getting impressed. She never blushed in front of him. Even when he pulled her that day in car, she just panicked. Only a frosty denial in those black eyes…which wasn't very familiar to him. Not that he felt hurt or like that. Even he didn't like her. He just found it highly uncommon.

Charu strode in the corridors frowning. What the hell did he think of himself? He thought she'll use HIS name for publicity. What did he think? He was some prince. Huh, prince? She hadn't come across such arrogance ever before. Her life would turn into hell if she stayed with that ego maniac.

Busy cursing the egoistic boy, she bumped into someone. Without even turning back, she apologized hastily and resumed her walk frowning.

Karan gaped at the retreating girl. She ignored him. He knew she liked him. That was quite evident by the way she always stole glances at him. What was the reason behind this sudden change of attitude? Should he ask her if everything was alright? He followed her but she was walking too fast and had apparently disappeared in the crowd.

Charu was busy chatting with her friends in the canteen, when suddenly Anku gestured about the gang of girls approaching their table. All in short skirts or dresses which hardly covered their thighs. They were her classmates. But she had hardly talked to them. Or let's put in the correct way. They hardly talked to anyone. The fashion dolls didn't consider any girl worth their company. Rude, arrogant, self obsessed; the very qualities which reminded her of the ego manic she had to tackle at home. But why were they coming towards their table then?

"Charu come we have to talk to you for a second", Natasha, the leader of their group asked and then walked away.

Charu looked at his friends hesitantly and then nervously followed the girls. Ankita and Niru just stood there confused and waited for her to return.

In one lone corner, the girls stopped and turned haughtily to her.

"Are you under any misconception that YOU out of all girls can date Aditya by any chance?" Natasha asked arrogantly.

Now the reason of this awkward meeting dawned on her. So they had probably seen her getting out of his car this morning. She sighed in despair.

Charu began explaining anxiously, "No there isn't any thing like that. I – just –"

One other girl smirked as she cut in, "There can't be any of such crap because Adi doesn't date his juniors."

"And if there is anyone one who'll break this fact, it's I." Natasha said proudly and continued narrowing her eyes, "With looks like yours there's nothing to worry about but still for your own good just stay away from him."

Charu nodded nervously with moist eyes as the gang smirked at victory and walked away. She had to tackle with that epitome of self obsession and now these maniac fashion dolls. They wanted her to stay from HIM? Who the hell wanted to stay with him?

Anku and Niru literally jumped on her when she came out, bombarding her with all sorts of questions about the recent happenings.

"What did they say?"

"Come on Charu speak up."

"They just wanted some tips on recent fashion styles from me", she said sheepishly smiling and walked out of the canteen thinking that this was the lamest excuse she could have thought of; leaving behind two utterly baffled souls who thought they had probably lost their sense of hearing!

Standing beside his car, he looked at her puzzled as she came out lost in herself.

"Hey day dreamer, your attention please"

She frowned as she whirled around at very familiar voice. What did he want now? Probably the prince of arrogance couldn't digest her heated words today morning. So he wanted revenge?

"What?" she asked then looked around worriedly.

He followed her gaze and then said opening the door, "Get in."

She felt irritated at his commanding tone. But if she argued with him now, then their probability of being found together would only increase. She quietly went to the other side and got in.

After about ten minutes she registered that they weren't going to his house. She looked up at him confused but he seemed least bothered.

"This isn't the way to your house" she reminded him.

"That was quick" he said sarcastically still not bothered to tell her the destination.

"Then? Where are you taking me?" she frowned as he remained quite.

"Kidnapping you. Any problem?" he asked coolly turning the steering of the car.

so adi cant share anything with her...room, bed. bathroom, car...everything just belongs to him...& she is no one to him...well u r wrong adi😆...hope u will realise soon that charu also belongs to u & u belong to her...

charu is different...she doesn't like him & that is bothering him😔...
