"Daddu '. Now shall we start ???",asked Khushi .

"Sure beta '. And what was as expected ??? " , asked Colonel.

"The solution in the injection contained high amounts of arsenic'. But not enough to kill a person in a go ..,"she replied looking at Arnav who looked a bit uneasy. "Also , I ran some tests on his samples and found something quite shocking'",she added. "What is it ??", asked Arnav . "Correct me if I am wrong Mr.Raizaada '. You met with an accident yesterday '..and by accident I mean you broke your arm yesterday ?? ", Khushi asked. "Yes '. Mujhpe kal subah attack hua thaa..", replied Arnav. Khushi got up from her seat and started walking , with everyone's gaze following her, "and you were admitted to Holy Cross yesterday and were on their medications since yesterday '. Right ?? " . "Yes ", Arnav replied curtly . "considering the fact that , the doctors there weren't exactly your friends '.. and safely assuming that they were injecting you with quite toxic chemicals '. Which I am afraid '. I wouldn't exactly call poisons '.. your system contains them from say 36 hours ?? (everyone nodded) '. But what's bothering me is ''. Your blood and urine samples contain small amounts of Arsenic '. Although not enough to cause immediate death '.. but enough to mess with your system " , Khushi said .

"What are you coming at Khush ??' ,asked Vicky , for which Khushi cocked an eyebrow and Aisha replied , "Are you serious ???" , for which she nodded . "Ok '. Can we talk in English and not in chemistry and bio ?? ", replied Vicky slightly irritated. "She means to say that Arsenic was or rather is in his system for long '. May be even more than a month ' " , replied Aisha. "What the ?? " , replied Arnav . "It's part of my inference '. But to confirm them , I need samples of your hair , finger nails and toenails '. " , replied Khushi , taking out a scissor "the sooner the better .." . She just went ahead and cut some of his hair at the back of his head, then his finger nails and toenails and placed them carefully into three covers. She whistled and to his surprise , Arnav saw a huge German Shepard come in and sit next to Khushi . "Hey Sean '. Please take this to Doc '.. I already told him what to do '. " , she gave the bag to it and gave him a hug and he left .

"What also bothers me is ''. They could have killed you easily yesterday '. But they didn't '",she said icily ,while the Colonel nodded at her . To say Arnav was shocked was an understatement , he actually wasn't able to get his brains to think. First Khushi Kumari Gupta appears out of nowhere after 6 years, and she isn't the same and then she says he should have died yesterday ."whaa '. What do you mean by that ?? tum kehna kya chahti ho ?? ", said a agitated Arnav. She looked sternly at him, not liking his tone, " Calm down Mr.Raizaada '. I think it should be very clear that we (pointing to herself and the rest of them) are here to help you '. And are on your side '. But clearly ' thanks to your anger '. I doubt if you yourself are on your side '. This anger of yours will be the reason for your peril one day '. ",said a calm Khushi in a icy tone. Her tone sent shivers down his spine , which was a first , noted Arnav. "now coming to what bothers me '. How many people were there when you were attacked ?? " , asked Khushi . "there were 4 of them and two of us ", replied Arnav. "hmmm '. And then your PA was shot first ?? right ?? " ,she asked . "yes and he died on route to hospital",replied Arnav grimly. "and there was no help for you around '. correct ?? ''.. you dialed for the police when they left after injuring you '(he nodded) '. ", she smiled ,"yet '.. no one seems to bother about the fact that , 4 people of which atleast one was armed couldn't come to shoot and kill a person(indicating Arnav) who was in shock , who was clearly their target and ofcourse who had no help or idea as to how to defend himself from them ??? " , Khushi said.

"So you mean to say that this was a ploy to just scare him by killing his PA ?? " , asked Colonel . "Partly true '. I doubt killing the PA was in the agenda '.. it was a side-effect of that unfortunate man's decision to travel with Mr.Raizaada that day '.. generally I guess Mr.Raizaada drives alone ' right ?? " , said Khushi . "Yes " , replied Arnav , cursing himself for asking his PA to join him on that fateful day. "So you mean to say that these people didn't want to kill me ??",asked Arnav. "Oh I don't mean that '. I just meant that , whoever it is '. He/she simply doesn't want you to die easily '.. he/she wants you to be scared , to suffer , to feel helpless and then beg for death '. ",replied Khushi . "She ??", asked Vicky . "yup !! statistically '. A man takes revenge by just causing death '.. but a woman takes revenge by causing ultimate pain followed by death '. You know '.. simply killing doesn't meet the purpose '. That is why Mr.William Congreve said 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' " ,she said . "So you are sure it is a woman ??",asked Arnav, mentally making a list of woman who hated him . "It is an intelligent guess Mr.Raizaada '. It's the probability based on statistical evidence of the past .. ",said Aisha. "what the '?? My Iife's in danger and you are here making guesses ??? '. Unbelievable !!!",said Arnav . "It is almost impossible to tell what one person would do without data, but it is far easier to tell what a group of people would do , with the help statistics, I hope you are familiar with this phrase '.. its partly quoted from Sherlock Holmes '.and we work on the same principle Mr.Raizaada '. And adding to it ' lemme assure you '. Again statistically '.. We have never failed !... atleast not as far as I have been here", said Khushi. He just looked at the confident Khushi in front of him partly amazed at her referencing quotes and data. She was never like this before he thought when the buzzer rang and the dog came back with a file .

Sean , came back with the test results and handed over the file to Khushi . She patted his head affectionately , while he sat on all fours on her right side. "ahhh !!!! ",exclaimed Khushi ," I was right !!! '.. Arsenic is in your system from atleast one year . " she said . "One year ?? " , exclaimed Vicky ,while she passed on the file to Aisha . "Oh !! Toenails contain them too '. This is getting interesting '.. " , she added . "Wait a minute!!! " , Aisha said when everyone looked up . "From when do you have diabetes Mr.Raizaada ?? and I guess its Type 2 ?? " , she asked . "From past 8 years ' " , he said. "you mean to say , you were diagnosed with diabetes just a year before we met ??", Khushi slipped . " Yes !!", said Arnav , partly happy that she did acknowledge him . "Are you thinking what I am thinking ?? ",she asked Ash , who nodded . "What is it beta ?? ",asked Colonel . "Exposure to Arsenic , can lead to Type-2 diabetes '. Which means , this is not just someone who wants to kill him from past one year '. We are handling someone who wants to kill him from atleast past 8 or to be safe 10 years !! " , exclaimed Khushi. "From what I can see '' it should be someone close '.. may be even family !!",said Aisha. "Shyaam '", sighed Khushi . "but he is in jail '.. he is no position to harm me '.not now atleast ",said Arnav while she looked at him with slight shock. "but '." , he added . "go on '" , said Vicky , "he was the one who used to get my medicines '.but I don't get how that thing is in my system , since he is in jail from past 7 years'", Arnav said .

"you know we can be totally wrong on this Khushi '. ",said Aisha." It might be because of water or something else '. Moreover even his lifestyle is not that great ...to be sure , we need to get samples of hair or nails from all his family members " , she added, while Khushi nodded at it . " I guess this is it for now " , said Colonel and all got up to leave. " I shall go to the lab",said Aisha , while Vicky said he had a session with the cadets which left Khushi and she had to escort Arnav, since Colonel said her to . It was clearly visible that she wasn't happy with the idea , but duty was duty.

"Khushi '. I'.. " ,said Arnav trying to keep pace with her and Sean . She didn't respond . "Khushi !!! '. Khushi Kumari Gupta !!!",he caught her hand ,stalling her . She closed her eyes to calm herself while Sean let out a groan , ready to attack anyone who tried to cause her harm. "It's ok Sean '.. Relax ",she said to her dog while bending a bit to stroke under his ear which caused him to relax . Arnav still had a grip on her hand . She turned towards him and caught hold of his hand and pressed on one of his nerves making him release her hand . "First things first ''..I am not Khushi Kumari Gupta !!! '.. that girl is long declared dead '' figuratively and soon legally " , she said . "Khushi '. What's all this ?? ''.. Kaha thi tum ?? '. Pata hai '. We tried to search for you '. " , Arnav started only to be stopped by Khushi's ,"why ?? '.. WHY MR.RAIZAADA ?? '.. mujhe kyun doond rahe the aap log ?? '. Wasn't the accusations of you and your family enough '.. yaa phir '.. aur ilzaam lagana baaki reh gaya tha ??? '. Anyways '.. It doesn't matter anymore '.. I have long lost the interest or will to explain anything to you people ''. I don't want to have anything to do with you , your family or anything related to the past for that matter ." ,she said . "No ' Khushi '. Listen '", he tried drilling some sense into her .

"why should I ?? '. Don't you see Mr.Raizaada ?? '. I don't care anymore '' I already told you '.. Khushi Kumari Gupta is DEAD '' this (pointing to herself) is Khushi Rathod '.. or in short KaRat '. I don't want to listen to anything , cause it doesn't matter . IT WILL NOT CHANGE ANYTHING !!! nor the past '. Not the future '. And definitely not the present !!!",she said almost yelling . Looking at her losing patience alarmed Sean , he got up and nudged her and licked her hand trying to calm her down a bit.She closed her eyes at his touch , which was pure . Maybe that's why they tell , a dog is a man's and her case a woman's best friend . "I am ok Sean '.. ,"she looked at him , Sean was still unsure and he slightly tilted his head and nudged his nose on her palm . "Really baba '.. Main theek hoo ",she smiled and hugged him tightly while he licked her nose . She giggled at it and he finally wagged his tail , happy that he bought a smile on her face . she got up , eyes still on her pet and finally turned towards Arnav. She let out a sigh and said ,"Mr.Arnav Singh Raizaada , I am here to protect you from whatever mortal danger possible due to any other human . but for me to do my job , I need your full co-operation . Humare beech jo bhi hua tha , usse is par koi farak nahi padna chahiye '. Isime aapka faayda hai . Needless to say , you are expected to shut your mouth about this whole thing . No one ' not even your family including your sister should know about me and this whole thing . Once this mission is complete , you can go ahead and tell the whole world about this , but only after it is complete. And once it's complete , we part '.. hoping to never cross each others path ever ..".

"Why are you hell bent on this Khushi ??? ",he asked her. "hell bent on what ?? ' " , asked Khushi . "hell bent on proving that you do not care '' you are not the same '.you say you don't care '. while its not true '.. you do care '", he said . "The truth , need not be proved Mr.Raizaada ",she said calmly . He moved too close to her comfort , held her shoulders , while she nodded a no to Sean , "then why are you doing this ?? '.. meri jaan kyun bachana chahti ho ?? '. Why are you overworking for me ?? ",he asked through clenched teeth. She looked straight into his eyes ,"Because '. IT IS MY JOB '.. AND IT IS MY DUTY AND MY RESPONSIBILITY '.I am responsible to keep you alive , breathing fine , heart pumping blood and to keep you in single piece .that's my responsibility , that's what I am expected to do and I cannot let Daddu down by bringing the past and not doing that '... " . He asked ,"Are you trying to tell me that you are doing this for him ?? '" . "yes !! I would do anything for him '.. he was there for me when the world turned on me '.. he is the reason I am alive '. I will give up my life and die for him if he wants me to . ",she replied back, which shocked him and he slowly let go of her shoulder which he had held it . "Khushi '.. come back '.",he said with a strained voice. "what for ?? '.. there is no reason for me to be back '. ",she then got hold of her emotions , "you take care and I want you to give me any of your medicines , I shall ask the doc to give you a fresh set . CADET !!! (she called a cadet) ". "Yes Ma'am",he replied . "Take Mr.Raizaada to the guest house and get the set of medicines he gives (she handed a cover) in this ",she said."Sean 'honey ..",the dog stood up ,"shall we buddy .?? " , and she ran while her buddy ran beside her trying to catch hold of her . "Sometime in my life '.. I shall want to have a Sean of my own ..",said the cadet . "Sir ' shall we ??", he asked Arnav who just nodded and moved , eyes still at the girl and her buddy who were busy rolling on playing on the ground.

Hey guys !!!!!!!!!

First of all MERRY XMAS to all of you !!!! 😃😃 ...

I know ... I have been very very late at posting updates ... but I was completely held up with work or parties 😉😉 ...

Newaz ... I have updated the 4th part of this FF ...
One more reason for the delay is I was doing some research on chemicals mentioned here ...
and yes ... it is true ... small amts of Arsenic does cause early onslaught of diabetes ... and Arsenic will be there in your body for years until you get rid of hair / nails etc ...

It was such a heart touching update. I think they realised they were wrong abt khushi. I'm really happy frm khushi's behaviour. Really looking frwd to their intractions in coming updates.

finally an update! do u have any idea how long i have waited for this? hmmm?

Do I love KaRat or what. Myt hav mentioned this b4 I so hope to have a sean of my own, I just love him.
