Megasthenes: Hey Zeus! Ye vivaah aise hua tha? Aur kya Rajkumaari Cornelia ne sach mein Swargiya Samrat Chandragupta ke viruddha apne pita ki sahayata ki thi?

Cornelia [hiding back and smiling]: [in mind] Haan!! Kitni badi murkh thi main!! Pitaji ki chaal bhi na samajh paayi!

The Stranger: Ji bilkul! Aise hua tha vo vivaah!

Megasthenes: Aur Suvasini??? Unka kya? Vo kaun thi jinhone Acharya Chanakya ka muh band kar diya tha.??

Amatya Shaktar hi vo the jinhone Amatya Mudra Rakshas ki shamtaayein dekh unhe Maharaj Mahapadmananda ke samaksh prastut kiya tha. Parantu Acharya Chanak ki mrityu ke paschyat, Amatya Rakshas ne jo us samay ke Upamatya the, Suvasini ka haath unke pita se maanga. Suvasini ke pita sehmat huye is prastaav se Suvasini ke iccha ke viruddha un dono ka vivaah kara diya.

Megasthenes: Kya??? Suvasini Amatya Rakshas ke byahata stri thi?

Stranger: Haan! Aur jaisa ki aapko main shuruwaat mein bataaya tha, Amatya Shaktar ke mrityu ke paschyat, Mudra Rakshas ko Naya Amatya Pramukh bana diya gaya! Ab aage bhi sunna hai ya unhi puraani baton mein mera samay nasht karnge shrimaan!! Bhuloye mat mere paas adhik samay nahin. Maharaj Bindusara ke sainik mujhe kabhi bhi le jaane aate hi honge!

FLASBACK'.

Chanakya: S'S' Suvasini? [then controlling his mind and tongue] Tum yahaan?

Suvasini: Haan! Mujhe aapse bohot mahatvapurna varta karni hai.

Chanakya: Kya? Kaho' Mera matlab.. Kahiye'

Suvasini: Waise ye to aap jaan hi gaye honge ki main yahaan kya kar rhi hun.

Chanakya: Nahi.

Suvasini: Jhooth na bole Acharya! Aap bhali bhaanti jaante hain. Main yahaan kya kar rhi hun.

Chanakya: Mujhe aapke pati ki tarah paheliyon mein baat karne ki aadat nai.. spasht spasht bolo.

Suvasini: Paheli?? Aap?? Ek kootnitigya ke much se ye baatein acchi nahi lagti. Waise bhi, main ye baat nahi karne aayi. Aap Amatya ke saath kya karne waale hain? Main unki ardhangini hone ke naate, unke saath yahaan tak aayi. Unhone jo kaha so kiya. Aura b jab vo dand ke patra ban rahe hain, to mera ye jaanne ka adhikaar hai ki vo kaun sa dand hai jismein main bhi unki sehbhaagi banne waali hun.

Chanakya: Aapne kuch nahi kiya hai' isiliye,, aapko koi dand dena anyaaya hoga. Waise bhi dand ka nirnay Samrat karenge. Main nahi. Tab tak chaho to Bhartiya chawni mein tumhaare rehne ka prabandh karva sakta hun.

Suvasini: Mujhe aapki is daya ki bheek mein koi ruchi nahi. Main khud kaam chala lungi. Bas ek vinti hai. Unhe jahaan bhi le kar jaayein, mujhe avashya le chaliyega. [leaves]

Seeing Suvasini after such a long time.. Chanakya's childhood memories returned to his mind. As if all the scenes were playing in flashback in front of his eyes, but he controlled his mind and went inside the room.

Shashank was there at that moment, he came to inform about the whole ceremony to Acharya and overheard this conversation.

Shanky [in mind]: Ab ye kaun sa naya adhyaya hai? Ya phir puraana adhyaya hai jo aj phir se khul gaya? Main to Acharya ko Chandu ke ajeeb bartaav ke baare mein bataane aaya tha, par vivaah gaya bhaad mein, yahaan to ek naya hi path padhne ko milega. Acharya us stri ko avashya hi pehle se jaante hain. Unhe aisa vichlit kabhi nahi dekha tha. Pata laga Shashank.. pata laga !!! [a naughty grin appears]

Meanwhile After talking to her father, Cornelia returns to her new room where she notices CGM present with a small box in his hand. Seeing him, her whole body started burning with fire. She crunched he teeth really hard to control her anger and clunched her fist. CGM was turning in the opposite direction so he didn't notice her. Cornelia slowly and firmly took up the dagger near the entrance and positioned herself. She didn't want to kill her husband but she wanted him to realize what pain is. She stepped towards him and rose her hand to attack on his shoulder but before she could even realize whats happening, CGM held her hand and within a fraction of the second, he grabbed her tightly by her shoulders whirled around by his arms around her neck with the same dagger on her neck now. While the dagger was still in her hands, but no more in her control. One more inch, and she would be dead. She was surprised by such a quickness. She tried very hard to get out of that grip but it was impossible.

CGM: Aap acchi hain maharani! Kaafi acchi hain! Par mujhse adhik nahin! [leaves her]

Cornelia: [regaining her breaths] Kyun kiya tumne aisa?

CGM: Khud se puchiye! Mujhse har baat mithya kahi! Mujhe andhkaar mein rakha! Kyun kiya aisa?

Cornelia: Main is prashna ka uttar dena anivarya nahi samajhti.

CGM: To mujhse bhi kisi prashna ke uttar ki apeksha mat rakhiye!

Cornelia: kaise na rakhoon? Tum jaante bhi ho ki mujhe tumhaari wajah se kya kya sehna padega?

CGM: Bharat itna bura bhi nahin hai jitna tum yavan samajhte ho! Isi bharat mein tumhara vo samrat Alexander tak nahi ghus paaya tha!

Cornelia: Yahi to! Bharat vaasi kabhi mujhe sweekaar nahi karenge! Mujhe wahan sirf aur sirf tiraskaar milega aur heen bhaav se dekha jaayega!

CGM: To ye kaaran hai? Mujhe to laga tha ki aap mujhse ghrina karti hain isliye is vivaah ke viruddha hain. [gives a charming smile]

Cornelia: aa'a.a.a..a. aisi koi baat nai.. main aapse ghrina karti hun!

CGM: jhooth! Jab bhi aap jhooth bolti hain to mujhe "tum" se seedhe "aap" keh kar sambodhit karne lagti hain!

Cornelia: aisa kuch nai hai! Aur tum mere kaksh mein kar kya rahe ho? Aisi kisi galat soch mein mat rehna ki main tumhe pasand karti hun!

CGM: nahin hun aisi kisi bhi galat soch mein! [saying this he starts advancing towards Cornelia, Cornelia steps back and again.. and again' and keep on going back until the wall disturbed her continuity, CGM came near and said:]

CGM: Bas ek aakhiri rasm nibhaani thi jiske bina ye vivaah mere liye adhoora hai.

CGM opened the small box he was holding in his hand. There was some vermillion in it. He took some vermillion and put it on her forehead to make a tilak.

Going to her bed her eyes fell upon the wardrobe in which she kept that box Agatha gave her. She went towards it, opened the wardrobe, took the box, decided to check whether that bud turned into flower or died without becoming one. But she didn't check, instead she kept the box near her pillow on the bed and went to sleep. But couldn't sleep the whole night. If you were in her place.. would you?

Next Morning'

Seleucus' palace.

Everyone including CGM, Shanky and Acharya were present there along with the Greek men of the royal court when Cornelia and Apama along with other maids and princesses came and took their respective seats. Everyone was dumbstruck seeing the vermillion tilak on Cornelia's forehead! Yes! She didn't erase it off her head.

Seleucus: [rising from his seat] Hum ne aap sabko yahaan ek' balki do ' subh soochnaao ke hetu bulaya hai' [Seleucus was making this announcement in Greek language, but thankfully a translator was present there to translate it in Hindi for the Indians]

Seleucus: Jaisa ki aap sab jaanta hain.. humari jyetha putri Cornelia ka vivaah kal Bharat samrat Chandragupta Maurya se sampan hua tha. Isi khushi mein, pratha ko nibhaate huye, Hum aaj raat ek bhavya bhoj ka ailaan karte hain!

[everyone's face was lighten up hearing the name of this reception party except CGM and Shanky as they knew what will happen again!! The plate breaking!!!! :P ]

Seleucus: Aur dusri khabar ye ki' Bhagwaan Zeus ke putra, Heracles dwaara shuru kiye gaye Khelon ko iss varsh banana ka shubh samay aa gaya hai.. In khelo ka aayojan Olympis nagar mein do mahino se ho raha tha, tatha saare pratitvandhi wahaaan pichle ek maah se jee tod parishraam bhi kar rahe hain. Hum chahenge ki aap sab shighrs ati shighra us nagar ke liye prasthan karein aur khelon ka aanand uthaayein!

[Everyone's face including Cornelia and her brothers, Antiochus and Alexander were lighten up. A bright sytreak of light shone in their eyes.]

The assembly was dismissed. CGM and his people moved to their respective palace to make preparations for leaving Greece as soon as possible as they knew they can't participate in those games and moreover they were least interested. Cornelia was about to leave when Seleucus called her from back and took her to a lonely place.

Cornelia: Ji pitaji! Waise main bohot prasann hun! In khelo ki pratikha main kab se kar rahi thi. Halanki main is baar bhaag nahin le paaungi par phir bhi dekhne mein bhi to aanand hai!

Seleucus: Tum shayad bhul gayi tumne kal raat mujhe ek vachan diya tha! Us vachan ko nibhaane ka samay aa gaya hai! Hum chahte hain kit um Sandrocottos ko in khelon mein bhaag lene ke liye manaao!

Cornelia: Kyaa?? Sandro ko? Asambhav! Ye humaari Greek dharm aur neetiyon ke viruddh hai pitaji.. ye aap bhi jaante hain. In khelo ke niyamon ke anusaar Sandro kisi bhi drishti se bhaag lene yogya nahin. Niyaamon ke anusaar, Pratitvandhi ko kam se kam ek maah pehle se Olympia nagar jahaan ye khel aayojit hote hain, wahaan reh kar prashikshan lena padta hai. Jo Sandro ne kiya nahi. BHaag lene waale purush ke sharer mein shuddha Greek rakt hona chahiye. Jo Sandro hai nahin!

Seleucus: parantu tum to ho! Aur vo tumhaara pati.. to iss naate vo bhaag le sakta hai!

Cornelia: Jab khud main hi bhaag le sakti to? In khelon mein vivaahita naariyaan bhaag nahin leti! To sandro se sambandh to dur ki baat hai. Aur to aur niyamo ke anusaar..

Seleucus: Mujhe niyaam sikhaane ki koi avashyakta nahi! Mujhe niyamon se koi lena dena nahin! Mujhe sirf Sandro ko sabak sikhaana hai jiske liye uska in khelon mein bhaag lena avashyak hai! Ab jaao! Aur jaisa maine kaha hai waisa karo!!!

Cornelia: Parantu ye to devtaaon ka apmaan hoga!

Seleucus: [shouting and in angry tone] Maine kaha na!!! jaao aur jaisa kaha hai waisa karo!!!

Hearing such a loud voice, Cornelia got nervous and nodded and left the place as soon as possible.

Tardus enters from back.

Tardus: Kshama kijiyega Samrat ' parantu maine aapki saari baatein sun li.. Aap aisa kyun kar rahe hain? Raajkumaari ji sahi hi toh keh rahi thi. Sandro ne agar in khelon mein bhaag liya to devta humse rusht ho sakte hain!

Seleucus: Agar Sandro ne bhaag nahin liya to Devta bhi humein uske pray se nahin bacha paayenge!

Tardus: Arthat? Aap karna kya chahte hain? Pehle to Raajkumaari ke man mein Sandrocottos ke viruddh mithya baatein daali, unse jhooth kaha ki vivaah ka prastaav Sandrocottos ne rakha tha, balki ye to aapka prastaav tha! Ab ye khel?? Mansha lya hai aapki?

Seleucus: Pratikhsha karo Tardus! Aur khelon ki taiyaariyaan shuru karo! Ye khel Sandrocottos ke jeevan ka akahiri khel hoga!

[an evil grin appears on his face]
