"Hello.. Riddhima, haan tum aaj shaam ready rehna.. Its our first date and trust me you're going to love it.." He told her excitedly on the phone..
"Okay Sid, don't worry I'll get ready on time.." She replied, now worried about what she was gonna be wearing for this date!
"That's good.. So I'll see you in the evening, bye I love you.." He bid her a good-bye, hoping to hear those three magical words back, but he was a little disappointed, when he just heard her dry "Goodbye Sid.." And having said that she cut the phone off..
Riddhima went to her wardrobe and rummaged through the dresses, which would be suitable to wear for her first date. Although they were going in the evening and it was only 11 in the morning, she thought it was a good idea to decide now what to wear, as it was her first date.. Well not exactly, coz she had dated one guy before.. But that was a long time back, in her first year of college. It was like a trend back then, everyone was dating including her Anjie Di, so how could she not follow her elder sister's steps.. Akhir behen kiski hai! Though she wasn't really bothered about dating back then, she still took a hell lot of time to get ready, just to impress the guy she was dating.. Coz she had to admit that he was hot, but she wasn't any less too.. As much as she didn't want to sound big-headed, it was true that she was the prettiest girl in her batch, so it wasn't surprising that the guy had asked her out and she had accepted, coz she also had a little thing for him.. And that is how they had started to date.. If her memory served her right, then she dated him for about a good 3 months or so, but she couldn't exactly remember how they had broken up.. What she did remember was that she had imagined to spend the rest of her life with that guy.. She hit her head lightly, thinking how stupid she was at that time.. But then again the thought wasn't that stupid, coz her in her sister's case, this had happened.. She had met Atul in her college and that is when they had started dating and now they were happily married to each other. And her sister being her role model, she definitley wanted to have a life like her's. Anjali had always been her role model, since they were little, her sister was just drop-dead gorgeous.. She could remember how every guy in college would die to go out with her, they still did but too bad for them, now that she is already taken.. Evertyhing about her sister inspired her, she had always wanted to be like her, but that was quite impossible, coz according to Riddhima, her Anjie Di was one in a million and she loved her to bits..
Riddhima looked at every option available to her, she tried on skirts, blouses and every other dress she had, but gave up in vain, as nothing seemed to satisfy her.. Good job that she started to get ready now or poor Sid would have had to wait a lot in the evening! She sat there on the bed desperatley trying to figure out what would be the best dress to wear and finally a thought triggered in her mind.. She opened her closet again and took a suitcase out.. She opened it and looked at the dresses Anjali had left her after getting married. These were the dresses what Riddhima had always wanted, but Anjali never gave them to her, but she had left them for her as a souvenir when she had shifted to Atul's home permanently... Eventually, she found a light blue dress that could be worn off-shoulder, it had a deep V-neck collar that exposed the depth of her cleavage and it fit her snugly around her waist, coming upto her knees.. She looked at her self from head to toe in the mirror, admiring herself, she couldn't help but admit that she did look hot, her every curve was just pefect.. "Now that's pefect!" Riddhima snapped out of her thoughts and turned around to see a smiling Muskaan, standing at her bedroom door.. "Muskaan, you scared me.." Riddhima sighed at her. "Chill Ridz.. Waise I must say that you do look very hot.. Sid will definitley be impressed.." Muskaan comlimented her, surprising Riddhima, as she asked "Tujhey kaise pata ke main Sid ke saath date par jaa rahi hoon?".. "Oh c'mon Ridzi.. Its not rocket sience you know, agar tu itna time laga rahi hai tayar hone mein, toh its a bit obvious that you're going on a date.." Muskaan stated, walking up to her cousin, who was standing at her vanity table.. "Tch, but I don't know what to wear Muski, I've tried on so many dresses, but I don't like any of them.. Yeh Anjie Di ka hai.. Do you think it looks okay?" She asked her for her expert opinion..
"Ok? Its perfect Ridz.. Trust me you're looking gorgeous.. Like I said, Sid will really be impressed.." She assured her.. "Are you sure?" Riddhima asked her doubts aloud.. "Trust me Ridzi.. I'm damn sure.." Muskaan assured her for the hundrenth time!
"Acha chal.. Let me help you try on some make-up now." Muskaan offered her help, which Riddhima kindly accepted "Cool thanks.."
She sat at the vanity table and Muskaan began expreimenting with her new make-up kit, trying on different shades of lipstick, eyeliner, facial powder on her.. "Muski do you remember, when we were little, me you and Anjie Di.. used to dress each other up like this.." Riddhima smiled recollecting their silly childhood memories.. Muskaan giggled, as she also remembered those days.. "Haan and we used to dress as brides fantasizing about our prince charming coming on his white unicorn to take us away.." And they both burst into fits of laughter, laughing at their old selves.. "We we were so immature at that time na.." Riddhima stated.. "I know.." Muskaan agreed.. "But I miss those days.. I wish they could come back." Riddhima said hopefully, as if there was some kind of possibilty that, it was gonna happen! "As much as I wish they do, let's get real babes.. Not happening!" Muskaan stated the obvious. "Yeah.. I know" Riddhima sighed at her remark..
"Chal now lets, try some jewllery on you.." she said, picking up some silver bangles and just as she took hold of her left hand to put them on, she stopped looking at her empty wrist.."Kya hua?" Riddhima questioned her, seeing her dazed expression.. "Ridzi, tera woh diamond bracelet kahan gaya, wohi jo Shashank Uncle ne tujhey gift kiya tha teri birthday pe.. I thought you never take it off." Muskaan asked her, surprised that she wasn't wearing the bracelet.. It was Riddhima's favourite braclet, she never took it off, it was priceless for her, coz her beloved Dad had gave it her on her 18th birthday and it was also very expensive, as it was real diamond and Riddhima took special care that it stayed on her wrist! Riddhima looked at her hand and was also shocked not finding her bracelet there.. "Oh my God, my bracelet.. Muski I never took it off, toh phir kahan gaya.." She cried worriedly, searching her vanity table thoroughly, in case she had took it off and forgot it there! But it was certainly not on the vanity table.. "Calm down Ridzi.. Yahin kahin ho gaya, mil jayega.." Muskaan tried to calm her down, she knew the bracelet was very special to her and if she had misplaced it, there was going to be a lot of havoc in the house!
"Muskaan, please help me find it naa.." Riddhima desperately asked her for help.. "Ridzi tu araam se yaad kar, where did you put it last time, aise jaldi mein kuch nahi hoga.." Muskaan explained to her and Riddhima knew she was right, so she calmed herself down and then sat on her bed, closing her eyes she tried her best to remember where she took it off last time..
"Oh no Muski!" Riddhima yelped, jerking her eyes open.. "What happened, yaad aagaya.." Muksaan asked her, wondering what had brought that reaction form her.. "Haan that.. that mystery guy's got it.." Riddhima told her.. "What? Mystery guy?" Muskaan asked her in confusion.. "Yeah.. Woh aaj subah.." And she flattered at the end trying to remember the incident in the woods this morning, when she was being watched..
She looked around a bit more, but she didn't see anyone. 'Maybe, I was just hallucinating..' She thought to herself and just when she had finished convincing herself, that she was over-reacting, she heard a rustle from the nearby cluster of trees.. She was absolutely still and very slowly followed her gaze to the sound... It was just then when she spotted a shadow moving among the trees... But it wasn't a shadow of a human, it looked more like an animal form... Fear griped her, as the thing came out of the clusters of trees! And she slowly started to step back, her heart pounding like never before.. The sweat on her forehead was now not because of the run but because of the fear that had taken over her...
And the sight she saw, terrified her beyond her wits on seeing a huge shaggy creature with sharp paws and baleful glowing, slitted eyes.. A Werewolf! Luckily for her, the Werewolf was busy sniffing the ground, for God alone knows what and hand't yet seen Riddhima there! Riddhima had vaguley heard about the existence of werewolves in this forest, but they were now apparently extinct so she didn't really bother about thinking what she would do if she were to see a werewolf.. And now that one was in front of her, she deifnitley didn't know what the hell to do.. For a moment she was just froze to her place, panicking, thinking about the outcomes if she stood there for any longer. What she didn't know was that, she had to stay abslotuley still and if she was going to make an escape from the place it had to be done in total silence without attracting the Werewolf's attention towards her, but Riddhima was completely unaware of the fact, so without thinking just as she was about to make a move from the place.. Something or someone rather, wrapped their arm around her waist and to prevent her from screaming, this person whoever he was covered her mouth and dragged her and hid themselved behind a large tree very cautiously, not making a single sound and backed her up against it tightly, so she couldn't escape and so they were out of the werewolf's sight.. For a moment Riddhima didn't understand what was happening, but when the man took his hand off her mouth she was about to scream, but he gently placed a finger on her lips, just whispereing a menacing "shhh" and through his eyes he indicated her that she should wait here till the Werewolf goes and Riddhima took the cue at almost once.. And once the Werewolf had gone.. He turned his head to her in a swift motion to face her and their eyes met.. He was as handsome as ever-a shaved chin, a straight nose, firm lips and a pair of intoxicating sky-blue eyes.. Which she was most certainly drowning in.. She had never seen a man with such perfect features and delicate skin.. They continued to stare at each other and Riddhima could feel her blood pumping in her veins. Something told her that she shouldn't be here, she wanted to run away, but those captivating eyes held her in one place.. She was afraid to move, every nerve in her body rebelled against the will to run away! A smile traveled across the sealed lips, as he sensed her nervousness of being so close to him. It was as if he could hear that heart of hers, pounding in her chest.. If not her heartbeat, he could most certainly feel her warm breath on his lips, as his face was just an inch away from hers.. Riddhima who was having a conflict within herself found herself glued to the spot.. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't look away from him...There was a gentleness in his gaze and she was truly affected by the intensity of those eyes, her facial expressions freezing.. He held her shoulders softly, very slowly pulling her close to himself, without breaking the eye-lock.. She closed her eyes, as he leaned in near her ear and softly whispered.. "Go home and stay safe.." His deep voice caught her attention and jolted her back to reality.. She turned around to see that the Werewolf was no longer there and without wasting another second she made distance between them, but realized that this stranger was still holding onto her wrist, and without saying another word she turned around to make an escape from there and as she slowly freed her wrist from his grip, her bracelet that had adorned her wrist also came off, which was now held securely in his hand..
"Ridzi.. Kahan kho gayi hai tu aur yeh mystery guy kaun hai?" Muskaan nudged her, jerking her out of her thoughts.. "Arrey woh that guy I met in the woods this morning.. Usne mujhey Werewolf se bachaya and he has my bracelet, mujhey woh dhoond na hi hoga, kya pata it might have fell in the woods somewhere, main abhi jaake dekhti hoon.." Riddhima told her hurriedly and left for the woods.. Muskaan just frowned to herself, not having a clue about what Riddhima had said.. "Werewolf?.. Mystery guy? Kaun hai yeh Mystery Guy?"...
