And oh...I hope you enjoy this part. As usual help, suggestions and critisicm are always welcome.
Part 2
The following morning Riddhima was putting some last minute things in one of her suitcases. She had made a list of everything but then she had thought of adding a few more items...just in case. But she was scared...genuinely scared. How would she be able to do the role of a wife and that to a newlywed one who had only one thing on her mind? She had no proper experience of love. Of course a boyfriend here and there but that's it. She had never experienced love that made you go crazy. And here she was...going on honeymoon...with Mr Casanova himself who probably carried every STD in the world. At that though she made a disgusted face and continued with her packing.
Armaan had just woken up and was literally throwing stuff in his suitcase. He couldn't believe he was going on honeymoon and that too with Miss holier-than-though. She could probably put a nun to shame. How was he going to pretend to have amorous feelings for her? How was he supposed to act like an absolute crazy in love husband with only one thing on his mind? Ok, he always had one thing on his mind but never associated it with Riddhima. Shaking his head he continued with his haphazard packing.
Both were supposed to meet Kirti and some other colleagues at the Bureau for a final meeting before going on the mission. Armaan and Riddhima were already very nervous and sitting in the room their nervousness only grew. The tension in the room was so thick that it could be cut with a knife. Kirti started with giving them an earful before anyone dared to say anything at all. Then she introduced the team she had picked for them; Muskaan Chadda, Rahul Garewal, Nikita Malhotra, Abhimanyu Modi, Anjali Gupta and Atul Joshi. The team would work two and two in shifts and would assist Armaan and Riddhima but only through phone and e-mails. The fewer agents were on the honeymoon destination the better. And every evening Armaan and Riddhima would report back to Shubhankar Roy about the latest developments. The plan and the execution of it were all left to Armaan and Riddhima. Kirti trusted them to come up with something really good and she had high expectations on her two best detectives at the bureau. They said their goodbyes when:
Kirti: 'Armaan...Riddhima...mujhe disappoint mat karna. I expect nothing but the best from you two. Aur hanh...ek aur baat. Good luck! And don't forget to enjoy too' (Armaan...Riddhima don't disappoint me. I expect nothing but the best from you. And one more thing. Good luck! And don't forget to enjoy too!) she said firmly yet with a tiny smile on her face.
Armaan and Riddhima simultaneously groaned and their colleagues couldn't help sniggering in the background. But one deadly glare from Kirti shut them all up. Going to the taxi it felt more like they were on their way to get a death sentence rather than going on a mission. Through the whole journey to the airport both were having myriad of thoughts. Not a word was exchanged between them which was very unusual. Verbal diarrhoea was a common symptom whenever they were in the same room or area.
Arriving at the airport Armaan, wearing shorts, a simple t-shirt and flip flops, took out his single suitcase where Riddhima, wearing a long summer dress (reaching her ankles), a hat and flip-flops, went for a trolley to put her two large suitcases and one hand luggage. Armaan looked at her luggage and shook his head.
A: 'Riddhima...tum itna samaan le ke jaa rahi ho? Aur voh bhi honeymoon pe? Tumhe pata nahi ke honeymoon pe kapdo ki koi zuroorat nahi hoti? Ziada se ziada birthday suit ki zuroorat padhti hai' (Riddhima...why did you bring so many luggages? And that too on a honeymoon? You do know that on a honeymoon you don't need that many clothes? At most you will need your birthday suit) he said cheekily.
R: 'Ewww...disgusting! Too much detail. Please shut up Armaan. Mere pehle hi se sar mein dard ho raha hai' (Ewww...disgusting! Too much detail. Please shut up Armaan. I'm already having a massive headache) she said holding her head.
A: 'Aww, bechari Riddhima...uske sar mein dard ho raha. Tumhe pata...yeh bahana humari honeymoon pe nahi chale ga' (Aww, poor Riddhima...she is having a headache. You do know that you won't be able to use that as an excuse on our honeymoon) he said getting into Riddhima's personal space.
R: 'Armaan!!! Chup kar jao varna main tumhara voh haal karongi ke tumhe tumahari nani yaad aa jayi gi' (Shut up or I will turn you black and blue) she said pointing her index finger at him.
A: 'Darling, thoda sabar karlo. Hume hotel pohonchne do phir jitna tumhara dil chahe ga mera bura haal kardena' (Darling, have some patience. Wait until we get to the hotel before turning me black and blue) he said getting even closer.
R: 'Aaach!!!' she let out frustrated.
Riddhima knew she wouldn't win this argument so she took her trolley and went in with smoke coming out of her ears. Armaan stood there smirking. It was so much fun to tease Riddhima as he always managed to get under her skin. But he knew Riddhima will find a way to get back at him...she always did. However that wouldn't stop him from getting on her nerves because it was part of his daily routine and he enjoyed it way too much to let it go.
After showing their tickets and booking their luggage they went to the expected gate. The flight itself would only take 3hrs however every minute would feel like eternity. Even the wait for the flight was going to be unbearable. Sitting down Riddhima began to slightly tap one foot...she was really getting restless. Then she got up and started to pace all over the waiting zone.
A: 'Please Riddhima...aram se baith jao. Tumhe dekh kar mera sar ghom raha hai' (Please Riddhima...sit down. You are making me dizzy) he said holding his head.
R: *stops pacing* 'Toh tum mujhe dekh kyon rahe ho? Dunyian ka sab lakdkiyan mar gai hai kya? Unko jaa kar dheko!!!' (Then why are you looking at me? Am I the last living woman on planet or earth or what? Go and stare at others) she said angrily.
A: 'Riddhima...main koshish kar raha hon lekin tum mere samne baar baar aa jati ho' (Riddhima...I'm trying to but you are continuously blocking my view) he said irritated.
R: 'Kya tum khud uth ke nahi jaa sakte un ke paas? Lazy hone ki bhi had hoti hai!' (Can't you get up yourself and go over to talk to them? There's a limit for being lazy) she said frustrated.
A: 'Armaan Malik ko kabhi khud uth ke jaana nah padhta...ladkyian khudi us ke paas aa jaati hain' (Armaan Malik never needs to go to the women...the women always comes to him) he said with great arrogance.
R: 'Kyon? Kyonke tum itne hot ho...isliye?' (Why? Because you are so hot?) she said sarcastically.
A: 'Vah Riddhima...pehli baar tum ne koi kaam ki baat ki hai. Of course I'm hot! Koi shak?' (Amazing Riddhima...for the first time you said something correct. Of course I'm hot! Any doubt?) he said very self assured.
R: 'Bahut sara!' (A lot!) she said grinning.
A: 'Kya bahut sara?' (What do you mean a lot?) he said looking confused.
R: 'Shak' (Doubt) she said mysteriously.
A: 'Magar kyon?' (But why?) he said with a frown.
R: 'Kyon ke agar tum itne hot ho, jaise ke tum apne aap ko samajte ho aur jaise ke ladkiyan tumhe samajti hain...toh mujhe kyon nahi tum hot lagte? (Because if you are as hot as you claim to be and as all the women claim that you are...then how come I don't find you hot?) she asked amused.
A: 'Kyonke tumhari aankhein kharab hai! Tumhe apni nazar check karvani chah ye!' (Because there's something wrong with your eyesight. You should get it checked you know) he said loudly.
R: 'Aur tumhe apna dimag! Kyonke na tum thode se delusional ho. Jitna tum apne aap ko good looking samajte ho...utne tum ho nahi. Yeh tumhara veham hai!' (And you should get your head checked. Because you are a bit delusional. You are not as good looking as you think you are...it's your misconception) she said taunting him further.
A: 'Veham?! Tum toh aise baat kar rahi jaise ke bahut badi expert ho. Pehle apne aap ko aine me toh dekho...darr jao gi. Khud ko bhi darrati ho aur hum sab ko bhi. Bechara tumhara aina...kya halat hoti hogi uski rozana. Subah subah itni mahnoos shakal dekhne ko milti ho gi' (Misconception?! Now you're talking like you are the biggest expert here. But please look at yourself in the mirror first...you will get scared. Other then scaring yourself you scare us all too. And your poor mirror...what it has to go through every day seeing your hideous face the first thing in the morning) he said mocking her.
R: 'Aur tumhara aina yeh kehta ho ga ke...yaar, yeh to mera peecha hi nahi chodh ta...din raat mere saath chipka rehta hai...itni attention toh tum ladkyon ko nahi dete jitni attention tum mujhe dete ho' (And your mirror probably says that...God, this person won't leave me alone...he is literally glued to me day and night...he doesn't even give the girls that much attention as he gives me) she retorted back.
A: 'Hawr hawr...very funny!'
At that very exact moment their flight was announced and their argument got an abrupt end. Riddhima got hold of her hand luggage and both got ready with their tickets again. They walked over to the plane and entered it. After some searching Armaan and Riddhima found their seats and of course they were next to each other. Both groaned loudly. Armaan went to sit down while Riddhima tried to place her hand luggage above her head but she was fumbling a little.
A: 'Tumhe kisne kaha tha ke itni cheezien rakho? Ab tumse bag bhi nahi sambhala jaa raha. Agar tum chaho toh main tumhari madat kar sakta hon' (Who told you to bring so much stuff? Now you are having trouble managing them. If you want I can help you) he asked politely.
R: 'No thank you! Mujhe tumhari madat bilkul nahi chah ye. Agar tumse ek bar bhi madat leli na toh sari umar mujhe yehi suna padhe ga ke Armaan Malik ne Riddhima Gupta ki madat ki hai. Pehle hi mujhe tumhari itni pakao baate sune padti hai...aur suni padhi to mere kaan shaheed ho jayenge.' (No thank you! I don't need your help. If I did come to accept your help then there would be no end to how Armaan Malik helped Riddhima Gupta. You already talk so much nonsense and if I had to listen to anymore of your nonsense then my ears will fall off) she said rejecting any help from Armaan.
A: 'Theek hai, theek hai main nahi tumhari madat karta. Jo karna khudi karo' (Ok, ok, I won't help you. You do as you please) he said putting up his hands in surrender.
Riddhima finally managed to put her luggage away and went to sit down...next to Armaan. She grimaced. In her mind she had thought that she would at least get some respite from Armaan before landing but noo...destiny was playing a dirty trick on her or was it Kirti boss? Armaan was not too happy either. He had to sit next to the prim and proper Riddhima. Gosh, how was he going to survive the coming days? He sighed heavily.
To be continued...
