He did not tell it to Geet but he wanted his marriage to be private affaire with his close relatives and friends but Engagement announcement have to be public and there was reason behind it…. He asked Geet to chill and take rest and prepare for the function next day and not to worry…..He sent her to Annie who would help her in her preparation…

Maan then got busy with his side of preparation, contacting media, press and best party organizers…. Function will take place at his own palatial Mansion between the beautiful and enormous garden.

Annie had gone nervous too "ek din me…. I have to arrange best hair designer, dress designer, jewelry… ohh my God so many stuff to do…. Bhai just takes his decisions and we have to run after it…. Now we need Vicky's help too in this to make things best and fast…. "

Whole set of beauticians and trainers were working on Geet to make her relax and freshen her looks… her beautiful looks and skin were worked on too…. Sometimes, they placed her in rose petals water, then some treatment in her hands legs and so on…. Geet felt uncomfortable to be completely captured by so many strangers but everything was done under Annie's instructions and Geet had no option…. Annie was on other side busy contacting the designers for Geet and selecting short listing jewelry, dresses, sandals and everything else and final selection will be done with Geet…. Vicky was pulled and pushed between Maan and Annie.

Next morning at Handa Ville:

Vinod is sitting with his wife Manyata… a servant comes and places a trolley with tea and Newspapers… He reads the news on 1^st page while sipping in his morning tea… Manyata is today busy going thru the notes of her son Rishabh…. There are lines of people looking into Rishab's education sports and other extra curricular activities but Manyata makes sure that once in a while she keeps checking on what's going around herself….

Vinod turns the news paper page and sees something that makes his hands start shaking….he keeps looking at it "Geet… Geet Handa…". Notes fall from Manyata's hand "What…" Vinod is in no sense to listen to what she said… She takes the paper from his hand and her eyes goes on the news which is a headline on second page "Maan Singh Khurana to announce his engagement with his beloved Geet Handa at Khurana Mansion Today"

Vinod is lost in his thought... Manyata doesn't know what to do… stay there with him… bring him to sense or leave… Vinod doesn't even realize that she is even there… his mind goes to the dark night when he was just 12 yrs old… so weak to do anything to stop his 6 months small sister from crying…. How he have gone to the prohibited area… which had guards all around and he had gone there by mistake to get his ball but guards all around… was unable to go out….. And then what he had seen had haunted him whole his life…. Sanjukta and Sanjana were lucky to be to be too small to remember their smallest sister and were even luckier to not have administered that night….

How his siter was crying with pain… she had some bandage on he hand…. He was high up and all of them were down in closed hall… all he could hear was piercing cry of his sister who had recently been named Geet… how helpless he was to see his mother falling down with continuous fainting….. How Savitri Dadi was running from one person to other… trying to talk with them… he was not able to hear anything of what they were talking……

"Vinod… Vinod… come to your sense" Manyata shakes him hard to bring him to his sense….. He looked at her and then the tears just flowed down his eyes…..

Manyata wanted to say something but seeing his state could not gather the guts….

"I need to be alone for a while.. Can you…"

Manyata patted his shoulders gave him a smile and left…. Many things of past kept going in Vinod's mind… In normal condition he would have taught Maan a good lecture of letting the news come to him thru media but at this time his mind only went to Geet…. Geet Handa… Was she the same Geet… his mind said maybe not but his heart had the strong feeling that she was same Geet… his tiny sis Geet.

After wandering 2 hrs in his thought alone, when Manyata thought it would be safe to interfere she comes back "Why don't you talk to Maan once"

Hearing Maan's name he got angry :"what should I talk to him… usse to itna bhi tameez nahi hai kee mujhe kuch bataye… uske engagement kee news mujhe media se pata chal rahee hai…"

Manyata: "I am sure there must be some valid reason… nahi to who aisa ker hee nahi sakta.. I think this is a sudden decision"

Vinod: "Sudden decision???? "

He picked his phone and pressed Maan's number... Maan was completely busy that time but he could not ignore Bhai Saab's number that too when he knew the other side would be fuming with anger….

Maan:"Bahi Saab…. Who actually"

Vinod: "Shut up…. Jo puchoon bass uska jawab do… tumse aur kuch nahi sunna mujhe"

Maan: "ji"

Vinod: "yeh engagement kee itnee sudden announcement kyun?"

Maan:"ji who halat he kuch aise ho gaye kee yeh sab itnee jaldi kerna pada…"

Vinod brotherly heart skipped a beat… "Were you heavily drunk and did something wrong to her…. What did you do with her that you have to make this so sudden?"

Maan was really confused with something unexpected coming when he was expecting something different…

Maan: "Bahi Saab you know you are sounding to me like someone is Geet brother and is speaking to me…"

Vinod: "I just said you to answer my question….that's it"

Maan: "Ok Ok… aise koi baat nahi hai… I love her more than my own self to give her any hurt of that kind…. It is entirely different and I can't talk about it.. I am doing all this for just Geet…. My Geet"

Vinod felt relieved for moment

But

Jealousy ran thru Vinod... How easy it was for Maan to say my Geet to his sister and he could not

Maan:"I love her a lot bhai saab… usne to mujhe hee badal diya.. she is a magic… you will be very impressed when you see her…. Bhai saab app aa sakte hain??"

Vinod cut the call….. Maan then kept getting call from close relatives and friends.. even Sanjukta and Sanjana… but he did not pick them up… he will deal with them all later on….

Vinod's mind then went to Maan's invitation.. a deep urge to go there and see Geet.. but then he thought will his visiting not disturb Maan and Geet…. "No let the engagement announcement be done… phir"
