Hi buddies,

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. since i am having hectic schedule for few days, i couldn't give a long update. sorry for that. but once i get time, i will compensate for these short updates. Please bear with me guys.

Part 23

Geet comes out of the trance and opens her eyes. she is shocked by the intense closeness between her and Maan.

Maan's eyes are still closed and he is cherishing the intimacy between him and Geet.

Geet gathers all her strength and pushes Maan away from her. he comes out of trance with a jerk and he is also shocked to realise what he just did.

Maan couldn't believe himself that in one day he got so close with a girl. He runs his fingers through his hair and looks at Geet in shock.

Geet couldn't believe herself that with in a day she has almost surrendered herself to him. she hates herself for being so weak.

But both couldn't understand the fact that somewhere deep inside their hearts they have already accepted their marriage and have started to see each other as their soul-mates.

She yells at Maan accusingly

Geet: what are you thinking of yourself? do you think that you can do anything with me? i am neither your wife nor your fiancee. samje hai aap?

Maan didn't know how to react. He is still trying to understand what made him to behave like that. He keeps staring at her blankly.

She feels guilty that she and Maan are cheating on his fiancee.

Geet: aren't you ashamed of yourself for doing this to a girl?

Maan didn't have any clue that Geet is talking about his so called fiancee.

She is also angry on herself that she is being intimate with someone else's fiancee.

Geet: i am disgusting... you are making me feel guilty...i hate myself.

Maan didn't know how to pacify her. he himself is feeling guilty for what he did a few minutes ago.

Maan: Geet! i am sorry...

Geet is not in a condition to listen to him. she didn't realise what she is doing. She keeps shouting at him

Geet: paagal hogayi hu main aap ke baare mein soch soch kar...i hate myself for always thinking about you... I don't want to feel anything for you...nahi...i don't feel anything for you. i don't like this feeling...i don't like what i am going through

Maan is surprised by her sudden revelation. he asks her in a soft voice

Maan: Geet! do you feel something for me?

Geet is shocked by his straight question. She tries to cover up and again yells at him

Geet: who are you to me? why should i feel anything for you?

Maan didn't know what to reply

Geet: you are no one to me. samje hai aap?...i hate myself for whatever i am doing

Tears roll down her cheeks uncontrollably.

Her statement pierces his heart. But right now he is more concerned about her tears than his pain. He tries to console her

Maan: Geet! if you are upset about the marriage, let me tell you onething...it is just a paper marriage...

Geet: but i am not a paper...i do have feelings.

Maan is totally confused about Geet's words.

Maan: (st) what is she trying to say? a few seconds ago she told that she feels nothing for me and now she says she does have feelings. Why is she being so complicated?

Maan couldn't understand if Geet feels something for him or not.

But again he tries to calm her down

Maan: Geet! i don't know what is bothering you. let us sit and talk and let me try to understand your problem

She thinks about his fiancee and retorts back

Geet: you need not understand anything. Everything is finished. we have nothing to talk about.

Maan: shaanth hojao Geet...

His soft words make her feel guiltier.

Geet: bas...Main haath jodkar aap se maang rahi hu...please chod deejiye mujhe...mujhe divorce deejiye...mujeh ye sab nahi chayiye...mujhe divorce deejiye

Her demand for divroce hurts his soul and he yells at her

Maan: i never asked you to live with me. samji tum?

She is hurt by his words. she keeps looking into his eyes and says mechanically

Geet: haan...you don't have the need to...

Maan looks into her eyes and says in a cold voice

Maan: i will be happy to get rid off you from my life. i wish i will never see you again in my life. get lost

Geet's heart almost stops. his words are too harsh for her to bear.

Maaneet both are in pain at their realisation that their relationship blossomed and perished in a day.

Both keep looking into each other's eyes for few seconds. Geet decides to leave him forever.

Geet: thanks

Geet runs from there. she is toppled by her saree and her head hits against a wall. Blood oozes out of her forehead. She couldn't bear the pain and she holds her head with her hands.

Maan's heart almost stops. he screams and runs to her

Maan: Geeettt!!!!

He kneels down in front of her and stretches out his arms to hold her by her shoulders. She pushes his arms away from her and yells at him

Geet: dur rahiye mujse...

Maan keeps staring at the blood oozing out of her forehead and tears gather in his eyes.

Geet: meri paas math aayiye...main bardasht nahi karpoungi

Maan is totally shattered. She again pleads...

Geet: chod deejiye mujhe...please

Geet somehow manages to get up and runs from there.

Maan keeps looking at her trailing image with tears in his eyes.

Geet comes to her room and cries uncontrollably.

Geet: (st) i am sorry Maan...i know i have hurt you...but what we did is wrong...sorry for everything

After sometime...

Geet composes herself and decides to leave for Amritsar immediately. She packs her bag and comes to the drawing room. she couldn't find anyone there.

Geet: (st) sab log kahan gaye?

She decides to leave the mansion and walks toward the door. after walking for few feet some thought comes to her mind. she takes out a paper from her bag and writes her address and phone number on it.

Then she comes to Maan's room and stands infront of the door. she hesitates for few miuntes and then knocks at the door. Maan didn't open the door.

She turns around to leave but her heart refuses to cooperate with her. her soul is begging to her to see Maan for once before she leaves him forever.

She waits for few more minutes and then knocks at the door once again. after 2 minutes, Maan opens the door. after whatever happened on the terrace, Maan didn't expect her at the door. Without his permission his heart skips a beat. he notices the bag in her hand and the blood choked plaster on her head but he tries to ignore the soft corner he is still having for her. he hides his emotion and looks at her questioningly. She gives the address paper to him.

Geet: here is my address and phone number

Maan is surprised as well as confused

Geet: you may need these to contact me with regard to divorce

Maan silently takes the paper from her hand

Geet couldn't see him in pain. She feels bad for hurting him. She couldn't help herself but apologise to him

Geet: thanks for being so nice to me... i am sorry for everything

Immediately Maan shuts the door on her face.

For few minutes, Geet keeps staring at the shut door

Geet: (st) main jaanthi hu Maan...i have no place in your life...hamesha hamesha ke liye main aap se dur jaa rahi hu. i will never interfere in your life

She fights back her tears and leaves the place.

Few minutes after Geet left, Maan opens the door and looks out for Geet. he is disappointed to see that she has left him. at the same time he is angry on himself for still thinking about her. he throws himself on the bed and tries to forget everything that happened since the time he met her.

Geet walks out of the mansion and enquires the security about the whereabout of dadima and others. The security informs her that all have left for Adi's house for Pinky's grahapravesh. She gets dadi's phone number from the security and leaves for the railway station.
