Part Nine

Day after Holi

Maan was ready for office .when Dev come to him.

Dev: Bro Mr Tandon wanna finaliz all things.

Maan: U r there go for it .( picked up his cell )

Dev: No Bro... He want u for their Himachal Project.Apne Utranchal main unke do projects successfully complete kar chukke hai…(Placing his spects back he said )

Maan: So what ?

Dev: So u hav great sense to choose rite location…rite strategy to start hotels at hill stations.

Maan: ok that's fine But ..what he planned ? ( putting his hands on waist he said)

Dev: He said that he wanted to visit different locations in HP...whether that ll wrok ..n wanna discuss it wth u after that….aur agar sabh theek hua to wahi sab formalities complete kar legay .

Maan: Ok ask him I m ready..waise bhi I m free for few days.My Austria conference has been delayed

Dev : Bro he is ready at any time…tell me when u wanna go..I ll inform him.

Maan: Tomorrow morning..jab work start karna he hai..so no need to delay.(n he left )

Dev informed Mr Tandon.n both left for Shimla next morning.

He came here after so many years almost 14 years when he was a student a teenager ..When his eyes were filled with hopes desires..n he also wished to start a hotel here…So that he could get reasons to come here again n again.But today he come here jst to fulfil that dream which his family had…to see KC at hights.

They checked in n after freshen up .Mr Tondon came to Maan

Mr Tandon: So Mr Khuraana when u wanna visit our first location which is in our list.

Maan: Today..its great day ..sunny..why shouldn't we go out.( he gav signal )

They left for site after coffee. Maan was feelin really good after so many years.Might b his teen age memories were calling him.Mr Tondon n Maan visited four sites n selcted only one where they can start work.But before this they hav to undergo each n every detail

Mr Tondon : Mr Khuraana after such hectic day at last we finalized one site atleast….( he gav ear to ear smile)

Maan: Ya I think it will b good to start hotel there coz lots of tourist …visit that site but due to unavailability of good hotles become a head ace ..n they can't stay .aur uske aagay bhi kai acchi jagah hai jo woh nahi dekh patay.

Mr Tondon: Mr Khuraana u hav great knowledge about this area that's reason I specially requested Mr Dev Khurana ..to convince u ..( he appreciated ..)

Maan: Mr Tondon I came here after long…But memories of this place really still wth me.Mani things r changed but beauty is as such

Mr Tandon: Ya yeh to hai…so we should go back..hotel we will discuss our plan there n what to do next.

Maan:Mr Tandon I think we should visit some more places not for business purpose... but for our selves to get rid of tensions in our hectic lif ( put hand on Tandon's shoulder )

Mr Tondon : Mr Khuraana I m too much tired I m not young n fit lik u…If u want plz continue

Maan smiled .He made call to hotel for other car.which took 10-15 minutes.After Mr Tandon left ...He also moved toward an unknown place.After so many years he was feelin relaxed... nt completely ...but more then other days he was spending from years.

It was about four when Maan left away Shimla …He was there after so many years but known ways were attracting him.

Maan: Kitna acchan lag rahha… hai kitni shantii hai …jaise Zindgi fir se awaaz de rahhi ho….( he thought n smiled)…Per meri Zindgi meri Geet mere sath nahi to yeh sabh kya myne hai mere liye .( he became again sad )

He was moving through a small town ..when his car stopped with a sudden jerk.

Maan: isko kya ho gaya ( he thought n came out )

Tyre was ok…he checked fuel tank…petrol was not enough might b due to he had covered more distance then required.

He stopped one passer by

Maan: suniye bhi sahib yahan aas pass koi petrol pump hai

Passer bye: Nahi saahab…woh to yahan se 5 km dur hai…aur 4: 30 band ho jatta hai .kyonki iss taraf kahan jayada gadiya chalti hai..aur jaldi andhera bhi ho jatta hai…n he left

Maan thought what to do..He made a call to hotel…But a major accident blocked only road connecting that town to Shimla.So no way to move back .He had to wait for next day to come .But where to stay ..Evenings r always very cold.He locked his car n started to search any shelter.Where he saw a tea stall of an old Man

Maan:Baba kya mujhe aaj raat rukne k liye koi hotel hoga yahan ( rubbing his hands he said )

Baba: Beta yahan chotay se shar main to chaye peene k liye dukaan to mil jayegi per rehne k liye hotel nahi ( baba smiled)

Maan: Per baba main to naya hu yahan..wapis nahi ja sakta.gaddi nahi chal rahi koi to jagah hogi…uppe se sardi itni hai

Baba: Beta tum bahut bade ghar k lagtay ho ..yahan tumhare layak jagah to nahi milaygi..per raat gujarne k liye tum chaho to ..Pujari ji k pass ruk sakte ho

Maan: Pujari Ji ( questioned)

Baba: Ha beta Gauri Shankar Mandir k Pujari ji..akele rehte hai..aur museebat main logo ki madad karna unka maksad hai…main tumko wahan le chalta hu.. ( he stood up )

Part 10

Maan: Theek hai chalea ( he followed him )

N Baba took Maan to Pujari ji n he voluntarily helped him…Giving place to spend nite n to eat

It was not of Maan's standards... But he felt great relief far away from materialistic lif.

Next morning great sound of Mandir bells made Maan to get up.It was about 6: 30

Pandit Ji: Beta uth gaye

Maan: Ji Pandit jib bahut bahut shukriya apka is madad k liye.

Pujari ji: Beta wh bhgwan karvata hai sabh ..main kon hu…Tum soye hue thay to maine jagaya nahi…Main tumhare kiye chaye le kar aata hu ( n he left)

Maan gain made call .But till this morning there was no way to back.So he had to stay here.But what about cloths .He went to local market to bring some cloths.Where he heard a know voice.Ya she was Geet messing to shopkeeper

Geet: Shanker kaka school k har function main..jo bacche perform karte hain ..unke liye dresses main he le jatti hu …

Shankar Kaka: Beta tum he le kar jatti ho…( he repeated same)

Geet: last month annual function main ..jo 15 ghagra choli apne rent per di thi unka rent apne 100 rupees per piece lagaya tha..to ek hi month main 20 rupaye badda diye …

Shankar : Beta nayi dresses hai…Shimla se le kar aate hai..kiraya bhi lagta hai..un logo ne rate high kar idye humko bhi to dekhna padta hai ( poor face)

Geet: Kaka har baar aap yahi kehte hai nayi dresses ..yeh dekhiye yeh ghagra choli pichele month bhi yahi thi…main 100 ruprees per piece dungi…Humko bhi baccko k parents sai paise lene pad te hai…woh kya sochegay

Shankar:: Beta woh to theek hai..per hum kya karre ..itni mehgayi hai..

Geet: Mehgayi utni nahi hoti jitni aap kehte hai…theek hai hum beeck ka rashta le letay hai (she calmed down bit )

Shankar: woh kya ?

Gee: Per piece 110 rupee adha aap chod do adha hum..,Sister Linda..ko patta challa agay se kissi function k liye apse costume nahi leggi..waise bhi next month ek function aur hai…app itne salon k customers na kho beithe. ( she threatened )

Shankar: Geet beta tum bhi kya baat karti ho…theek hai..tum to meri bachi ho..kitni madad kit hi jab meri patni bimaar paddi thi…tumhara ehsaan kaise bhula sakta hu..kuch pasio k liye ( he bound hands )

Geet: Kaka …rishte ek taraf..aur kaam ekk taraf…aaj to main apne school ki taraf se apke pass function ki tayri k liye aae hu..aur aap apna kaam kar rahhe hai..Baap beti to hum school aur dukaan k bahar hai..(she took his hands in hers)

Shankar: yeh bhi sahi hai

Geet :: to theek hai Kaka ..main peon ko bhej detti hu..aap 15 ghagra choli..10 Pari dresses, Aur ha jo Sadhu Baba ki wig is baar size k denna…5^th class k bacche performance dey gay unke hisaab se…( n she gav advance )

Maan moved toward that voice…But Her back was in front of her. Before he can call her she left place…n that was on other size of road .He ran behind her But not able to find her

Maan: yeh meri Geet ki he awaaz thi..iska matlab woh yahin hai….us shop keeper se puchta hu ( he thought n smiled )

Maan went to Shankar kaka's shop

Maan: Baba woh ( before Maan could say more he stopped)

Shankar: Ji sahib..apko kya lena hai…hamare yahan har tarah k kapde ..milte hai…

Maan: Nahi baba mujhe kuch nahi khreedna

Shankar: oh to apko bhi rent pe lene hai

Maan: Nahi baba meri baat to suniye…woh jo ladki abhi yahan aayi thi ( he was frustrated )

Shankar: oh to apko School wallo ne beja hai..per laap peon to nahi lagtay…( he was puzzled )

Maan: Nahi baba main peon nahi

Shankar: naye teacher hogay ..yahan do naye teacher aane walle thay …Geet to keh rahi thi peon ko bhejay gi…per school ka peon bahut alsi hai..koi bahana banna diya hoga.

Maan: Geet iska matlaab main sahi tha..She is here...meri Geet…( he was confident now )

Shankar heard only Geet.

Shankar: Saab ji lagta hai abhi theek se school k teacher aur staff se milay nahi…jo order de k gayi thi unka naam Geet hai..har saal school k function k tayri wahi karti hai…( he was packing Geet's order side wise )

Maan: Geet yahan school main teacher hai ( he murmured)

Shankar: Or woj bhi St. Martin school ki sabse kabil teacher. Har Maa baap yahi chate hai.k apne bachay ko school k baad bhi Geet k pass padne bhejay...Issi liye shaam ko school se aane k baad teen teen tution class leti hai..

Maan: Itni kabil to woh hai hi mujhe se jayada kon janta hai ( a sudden smile to find his lif came on his beautiful face )

Shankar: Per saab ji aap aga teacher ban kar aa gaye ho to Geet k pet per laat mat marna…uski tution k bacche cheen kar…bahut mushkil waqut dekha hai usne.Acha mujhe ek or order tyar karna hai..agar kuch lena hai to batayea

Maan: Nahi mujhe school janna hai..main naya hu.abhi ayan hun yahan kahan hai school.( he put every thing in mind what he ( Shanker )said

Maan reached school on the way Shanker showed.
