M&G... Lambi Judaai... Part 39

Geet woke up, looked at the time and started to rush, getting her things ready for university.

Geet (self-thought): Oh god, look at the time. I'm going to be late. Why didn't Maan wake me?

Geet frantically threw her books in her bag glanced at her phone and then realised what day it was.

Geet (self-thought): Tum bi na Geet. It's Saturday.

Now that she was up, she began to think of what Maan and she could do today.

Geet (self-thought): Hmm what shall we do today? The weather is quite nice; I know we can go for a picnic

She took her things out of her bag and went out to tell Maan. She went to his room but it was empty. Then she saw Nakul walk past and decided to ask him.

Geet: Nakul, have you seen Maan?

Nakul: Haan, Maan sir has gone out

Geet: Out? Where?

Nakul: He didn't say, sorry

Geet (self-thought): I wonder where Maan has gone. He normally tells me where he is going. And he knows on the weekends we normally go out.

Geet was annoyed as she was looking forward to having a picnic. But now her plans were ruined because of Maan. She couldn't think of where he would have gone. Now she would have to spend the day at home, doing nothing. How boring.

She made her way downstairs to the kitchen to get something to eat when she saw a note stuck to the cupboard. She looked around to see who may have left it there, but no one was to be seen. She opened the note to see what it said.

Get ready, a car is waiting for you outside

Geet read the note a few times until she realised it was written by Maan.

Geet (self-thought): This is Maan's handwriting. But when did he leave this? And where is the car taking me?

Geet was totally confused as she made her way towards the main door. She thought Maan was playing a joke on her; however he wasn't as a car was actually waiting for her. She quietly sat in the car, wondering what was going on when she saw another note pinned to the back of the seat. It read:

Sit back and relax, it may take some time

Geet looked around outside to see Maan was hiding somewhere but she couldn't see him anywhere. What was going on? She sat back in the car wondering where on earth she may be going. She decided to ask the driver.

Geet: Excuse me, where are we going?

Driver: Sorry Ma'am, Maan sir said not to tell you anything

Geet: Lekin, you can tell me. I won't say anything.

Driver: I can't varna Maan sir will fire me

Geet (self-thought): First Nakul didn't know where Maan is and now the driver won't tell me where we are going. This is just like Maan. I hope he isn't playing a trick on me. Just wait till I see him.

Geet sat there the entire journey thinking about what Maan might be up to. She had no clue as to what was going on. She tried to think of possible things that Maan might do, but none of them seemed right. Little did she know what Maan was planning.

The journey seemed to last forever. They drove through small towns and little villages, places that Geet had never heard of before. After 2 hours, they finally arrived at an abandoned farm with a large field surrounding it.

Geet got out of the car and stretched her arms. She walked around, looking for Maan. But no one was there. The place was deserted. She took her phone out to call Maan but there was no signal.

Geet (self-thought): This is just great. Here I am, all alone in this farm with no signal, no nothing. And where on earth is Maan? Seriously what is he up to?

She walked around aimlessly with her phone trying to get signal when she saw a piece of paper pinned on the gate. She went towards it and saw that it was another note. She opened it and read it.

Now Geet, you are probably wondering why you are here

Well somewhere in the clouds, something is waiting for you

Geet did not understand what Maan meant. She read the note over and over again to try and make sense of what it said, but it didn't work.

Geet (self-thought): Come on Geet, think. These words must mean something otherwise Maan wouldn't have written it

Just then Geet saw another note fluttering in the breeze. It was difficult to reach as this one was stuck in the tree nearby.

Geet (self-thought): Maan bi na, he had to put this one up high. But don't worry I will get it. I will find out what is going on

Geet then climbed the tree slightly and managed to pull the paper out. Some of the paper ripped but she still was able to make out what it said.

Then look up into the sky

Once Geet read the note she looked up and saw a small but visible plane hovering in the sky. She wondered what this had to do with what Maan was up to but then suddenly it began to move. Geet assumed that it would fly in a straight path and then disappear, however it didn't. This plane seemed to be different. As Geet continued to watch she began to realise that it was forming words. She then noticed that it wasn't just one word, it was a message. The plane started moving faster and within a short time the message was formed.

I love you Geet

Geet was shocked

Geet (self-thought): Babaji, is this for real? Ye sach hai? I can't believe it. This is all for me. Maan is truly amazing. He went to all this effort for me. Just for me. Oh I feel so lucky. I love him so much.

Just then someone's hands covered Geet's eyes. Geet instantly recognised the touch and turned round and gave Maan a huge hug. She couldn't believe that Maan would come up with an idea like this. She had never been so happy in her life, she felt so complete. Maan pulled Geet's face towards his and gave her a long, passionate kiss. He was thrilled that she had loved his surprise, his heart was now content. Two bodies had become one soul, they were finally together. Finally Maaneet.
