INDIA

Mohinder: Sab kuch hogaya na Rano?

Rano: Haan, everything is ready

Mohinder and Rano were heading back to Hoshiarpur after a very long time. Brij had phoned saying that Darjee was very ill and that he wanted Mohinder and Rano to come to stay in Hoshairpur with him. Straight after the phone call, Mohinder started to pack and got ready to leave. Rano could see the worry and fear that had come over her husband, so she quickly booked the tickets.

Rano: Aap fikar na karo, Woh teekh ho jaynge.

Mohinder: Hmm'

Mohinder was lost in thought during the entire flight. Rano didn't know what else to say that would help to ease Mohinder's mind. She decided it would be best to say nothing at all, and give him peace. As soon as they arrived in Hoshiarpur, they booked a taxi and headed for the Handa Haveli. It had been many years, since they had left Hoshiarpur and moved to Delhi for a better future, for themselves and for Geet. Coming back after so long, Mohinder felt like the place hadn't changed at all. They arrived at the haveli a short while after and were greeted by Brij.

Brij: Chacha ji, kaise hai aap? And How was your flight?

Mohinder: It was fine. How is Darjee doing?

Brij: He is still the same. Come on in, he is waiting for you.

They made their way into the haveli and into Darjee's room. When they got there, Mohinder and Rano were shocked to see a bed ridden Darjee. He had lost a lot of weight and looked very weak. Mohinder couldn't believe the condition Darjee was in, tears began to form in his eyes.

Darjee: Mohinder

Mohinder: Main aagaya hoon darjee, don't worry now.

Darjee: Please don't cry, I can't see you upset. Geet puttar kaisi hai?

Mohinder: Geet is fine

Darjee: Main soch raha tha kyun na main Brij ko geet ke paas bhejoon, he can bring her here for a while.

Mohinder and Rano who was also in the room looked at each other stunned. Brij visiting Geet? This couldn't be happening.

Darjee: Kya khayal hai?

Mohinder: Umm... yeah that's... a good... idea?

Darjee: What's wrong?

Mohinder: Nothing, Main abhi aata hoon.

Mohinder went outside and motioned Rano to follow him quietly. None of them said anything for a while, until Rano finally broke the silence.

Rano: What are we going to do? If Brij sees Geet and finds out she is with Maan, I don't know what he will do. We have to do something.

Mohinder: Let me think for second Rano, please.

Mohinder was clueless. He had no idea what to do. There was no way of stopping Brij from going to London, he and Rano both knew that. Once Darjee had made a decision, he never backed down from it. Although Mohinder respected Darjee and his decisions, there were times when he didn't always agree with his words or actions. He couldn't imagine what would happen when Brij found out that Geet and Maan were together. Brij's was a very unpredictable character and he knew whatever the outcome, it wouldn't be pleasant.

3 Days later

LONDON

Geet was working in the kitchen trying to cook something new when she heard something from outside, initially she thought it was maan so she didn't worry, but then she remembered that maan had gone out with his friends so she went near the window to see, however she only saw shadow of a person so she went outside, now geet was really scared but then on seeing no-one there she decided to go back inside thinking she was just imagining things.

Geet: yaar geet tu bhi na koi kaise andar asakta hai ye tera vahem hai, lekin maine parchahi to kisi ki dekhi ti kaun ho sakta hai, maan bhi bahar gaya hai friends ke saath

geet was thinking about all this when her phone rang all of a sudden. Geet checked who was calling and saw Maan's name flash on the screen and so picked up the phone

Geet: Hello

Maan: Hi, What are you doing? Are you busy?

Geet: No I'm just trying out a new recipie but I think I'm gonna let it go for now' why?

Maan: ohh if you don't mind could you do me a favour?

Geet: sure maan, bolo?

Maan: geet tum arjun ke ghar jaa sakti ho?, actually I forgot one of my books at his house, and I'm gonna get late so I can't go myself' Its really important.

Geet: Okay Maan, don't worry I'll go get it.

Maan: thanks Geet you're the best. Love you

Geet (blushes): I love you too, ok main phone rakti hoon, bye take care

Maan: Bye Mishti.

Both disconnect the phone.

Geet went back inside to tell nakul that she was going out when nakul came out himself,

Geet: nakul main gaadi lekar kahin jaa rahi hoon tum peeche se ghar ka khayal rakhna

Nakul: jee geet madam

After geet left Maan come out of the house and said to nakul

Maan: Nakul tum khayal rakhna agar geet aiye to use andar mat aane dena, vaise maine keh to diya hai arjun ko ke usse vahaan jitna time distract karke rakh sake, lekin phir bhi make sure there are no mistakes. Understood?'

Nakul: jee sir aap fikar mat kijiye

Maan: good

Maan went back inside and started decorating the house with red and white balloons and rose's just the way Geet liked it. He made sure that all the food was made according to geet's favourites.

When all the arrangements were done he called up Arjun to tell him to send geet back.

When Geet entered the house, it was all dark.

Geet (to herself): why is it so dark in here?

Geet: Nakul! Nakul!

All of a sudden geet heard someone singing happy birthday. She looked around for the source of the voice, the singing became louder as if it was closer now, Geet was totally confused, when someone from the back whispered in her ear 'happy birthday mishti '. Geet's heart started beating rapidly and she instantly knew it was Maan. All of a sudden the lights came on and Geet saw the hall all decorated just the way she liked it, feeling overwhelmed Geet hugged him tightly. Maan felt Geet's breath on his neck, making him feel aroused. He looked at Geet with love in his eyes, Love which was only for her. Geet felt her throat becoming dry and unknowingly parted her lips. Maan grabbed Geets waist and brought her towards himself and took her lips into his ever so gently. Geet was touched by his sweet gesture, returned it with as much passion.

Maan and Geet were almost in their own world, completely unaware of what was happening around them, but their moment was disturbed by the door bell and geet immediately pulled away blushing. Maan hated to be disturbed and was absolutely furious by this disturbance, it was quite visible on his face, he looked at geet with an annoyed face, and all geet could do was giggle at his plight

He unwillingly let go of geet to open the door, he was so angry that he could probably eat the person who dared to disturb his moment alive.

He opened the door and started shouting.

Maan: what the hell is your problem! Couldn't you find a better time to ring the doorbell!

Man: sssiiirr.. iii..uummm'

The man was so scared by this sudden reaction that he couldn't even talk properly, which made maan even angrier.

Maan: OH WILL YOU SPIT IT OUT!

Man: Sir ii onlllyy came to ddeliver the cccake you oorderd.

Maan instantly remembered it was he himself who had ordered the cake. So he just snatched it said thank you and shuts the door on his face.

Maan brought the cake inside and called out for Nakul.

Maan: Nakul!

Nakul came rushing out of the kitchen hearing Maans voice.

Nakul: Jee sir?

Maan: Nakul could you go put this in the kitchen and bring it out in a trolley with the candles lit please?

Nakul: Yes sure sir

Maan: Thank you.

With that Nakul returned to the kitchen with the cake and Maan returned to his lady love.

Geet was looking around in awe when she felt Maans Hands snake around her waist. She loved the feeling of being in Maans arms, she felt so protected. She put her head back on his chest and put her hands on top of his hands.

Geet: Maan you never fail to surprise me. When ever I think you couldn't to something more sweet for me you prove me wrong.

Maan smiled at her comment and thought about his further plan as well, she was in for more shocks.

Maan: Mishti, You haven't even seen all my surprises yet, abhi toh main cheez baki hai.

Geet turned around hearing this and widened her eyes.

Geet: What do you mean? Theres more?

Maan nodded while smiling at his innocent mishit.

Geet: Maan your spoiling me too much, What am I going to do if by chance I don't have you in my life anymore.

Maan put his hand on her mouth.

Maan: Don't ever say that Geet, We will never separate' Never!

Geet got teary eyed hearing him say this and hugged him as tight as possible.

Geet: Maan don't ever leave me' Main jee nahin paongi!

Maan: Geet, I'll never leave you' and to prove this I have a surprise for you.

Geet: Kya maan?

Maan: First close your eyes.

Geet did as he said and closed her eyes wondering what Maan was upto.

Maan took out a blue velvet box and opened it, and then got down on his knees.

Maan: Ab aankhein kholo.

Geet opened her eyes and looked straight but didn't see Maan, she looked down and that when she saw him' on his knee! Holding a beautiful diamond ring in his hand.

Maan: Geet, I love you and I promise to never let a tear come in your eye, I promise to love you no matter what happens. And now I promise to stay with you until I die' Geet Will you marry me?

Geet was awestruck and had no idea what to say, she could feel tears flowing down her cheeks' Tears of happiness' she just nodded unable to even speak.

Maan saw Geet nod her head in approval and got up and lifted her off her feet. He didn't know what Geet's reaction would be and all this while he was afraid she might just say no' but now that she had said yes he was on top of the world' his happiness knew no bounds.

Geet put her hand around Maans neck and laughed with happiness as she felt her feet being lifted off the ground. She couldn't believe Maan had just proposed to her' It all felt like a dream.

Maan put Geet back onto her feet and took her hand gently and slipped the diamond ring into Geets ring finger' it fit her so perfectly that it seemed the ring was made just for her. He took her hand and placed a kiss on the finger he had just placed the ring on.

Before Geet could say anything or Maan could do anything further, another ring of the doorbell disturbed them.

Maan looked towards the door with anger and annoyance; this was second time the doorbell had disturbed their moment, whoever it was this time would not get away so easily.

Geet was a little annoyed as well this time, what was with people and their timings to ring the doorbell, she thought.

Maan went to open the door, and Geet went into the kitchen to see what was cooking.

When Maan opened the door he was shocked by who he saw.

Maan: Tum? Yahan?!
