An adornment made of gold, silver and other jewels or simply with the crust of a coconut, Kaliren is tied on bride's hands on the morning of the wedding ceremony by sisters, sisters-in-law and friends. Preparing herself for her big day, the bride-to-be indulges in the pre-marital rituals glowing with the happiness of having found someone with whom she would now be able to share her life absolutely. The one person who would be hers' with whom she would share her happiness and her sorrows' with someone who would stand by her and hold her hand through thick and thin' thereby cherishing the rituals that brings her closer to the aspirations of her new dreams. And amongst many rituals that grace the auspicious ceremony of binding two people together for a lifetime, one such ritual that is followed by several Indian cultures is to tie Kaliren to the hands of the bride.
When the dark heena smeared hands, wearing beautiful red and white bangles are further adorned by these falling embellishments it adds to the glory of the bride, as it dangles and shines with new the hopes that are reflected in the eyes of the girl. It is a symbolization of dreams that brings two people together and is not only beautiful but also auspicious. And that's not all' the dreams are passed on as it is believed that after the wedding ceremony when the bride taps her palms lightly over the heads of other unmarried girls, whosoever gets a piece of bride's kaliren on their head first, is the next in the row to get married.
To summarize it all, Kaliren stands for hopes, dreams and desires at the onset of the journey that leads to love and to a path of fulfillment.

She welcomed adversities with a smile and reveled in the happiness of others yet when it came to herself, she shunned the privilege to dream and love. She vaulted her dreams and threw away the keys never to find it again as she turned her back to the colours of love accepting it to be her fate. But fate had other plan.
Sun never asks for consent to brighten the day...
Rainbow doesn't need to be called upon to spread its colours across the horizon...
Flowers needn't be asked to spread their fragrance...
And love seeks no permission to enter one's life...
And so he came' to pick the thorns of her life and fill it with the luster of his love' to entice her to love and allure her to dream...
She's Geet Handa...
He's Maan Singh Khurana...
And this is the story of realization of her dreams and pursuit of his love.
