CHAPTER 3: IS IT LOVE

A week had gone by. Arnav and Khushi were the perfect team. Arnav kept the tension low with his humor and Khushi kept him from getting too laid back. Anyone could see that. Anyone except these two... Arnav still hadn't figured out his feelings, yes he liked being with her, she made him smile but surely he couldn't like her as more than a friend. How could he when they'd just met. Yes she was pretty but arnav had seen better'.

'Arnaaav! For the last time. Concentrate please! Ufff!'
'What? You're doing just fine Khushi. Sometimes I think dad made you my partner on purpose. You know because he knew you'd get the work done, with or without my help' arnav laughed.

'Ha-ha' Khushi threw a file at him, 'I want to you to read the details in this and temme what you think'

'Woahh, fine fine.' Arnav opened the file. 'Hitler' he muttered.

'What did you call me?!'

'Uff nothing yaar. Goodness'

Khushi narrowed her eyes at him.

'Woman you're soo typical! Shak karna band karo'

'Alright alright'

'Arnav, your dad wants you in his cabin?' a girl that Khushi recognized from the second floor told arnav from his office door.

'Sure ill be there'

'OK' she smiled.

'Umm anything else?' Arnav asked

'Oh umm no' she kept smiling and closed the door.

Khushi kept looking towards the door.

'Khushi?'

'What was that?'

'Oh! A fan. Surely you haven't been here long enough' Arnav laughed. 'I'll be back in a minute. It's best not to keep dad waiting.'

'Dad you wanted to see me?' said arnav as he entered his dad's office.

'Yeah. Arnav the company whose project we're handling are having a launch party this evening. Since you and Khushi are taking care of the project, I want the two of you to go.'

'Umm today? Uhh ok, what time?' Damn, I plan one night with my friends and'

'At eight. Please be there on time arnav,'

'Sure dad.'

'Hey, what did your dad want?' inquired Khushi

'Wanted the two of us to party'

'Arnav?'

'I'm serious. The I.R Company, they're having some launch party. And we're supposed to go. So be ready ill pick you up at seven thirty'

'Wait seven thirty? But its already four! Shoot I need time to get ready. I gotta go.' Khushi started picking up her things and rushed towards the door.

'Dude you got like three hours!'

'Exactly' Khushi yelled from the door and hurried away.

Chicks!. Arnav shook his head.

'Hey I'm waiting outside. Come out' Arnav said on the phone to Khushi.

Arnav stood besides the car waiting but as Khushi came in sight he paused, everything did' Woah!

In her plum saari Khushi looked as never before. Simply ravishing.

'Shall we leave?'

Arnav kept looking at her

'Arnav?'

'What umm yh'

'The party was fun. And it was nice to meet Mr. Varun. Its surprising how he runs the company almost single handed at such an age. Don't you think?' Khushi said

'Mm yh.'

Arnav didn't really remember the party. He wasn't listening when people were making conversations with him, or when Varun introduced himself and made the big announcement about his new company. None of it. All he remembered was thinking about Khushi. She looked so beautiful. Arnav was wrong, no one could be prettier. There was none better than her. He hadn't been able to keep his eyes off her let alone concentrating on anyone else. He could only think one thing, Could it be? He, Arnav Singh Raizada, falling for Khushi?

He knew the answer already' Yes! He fell for Khushi and he fell for her bad. And now there was no turning back.

He didn't know if this was love but he knew that he had feelings for her. When Khushi walked out the door arnav felt like never before. He'd been with a couple of girls before but this was different. How did this happen in just a few days?? One thing was for sure, the girl sitting next to him was special and now possibly he loved her.. Yes it had to be her' And that worried arnav.

'Heres your place. Ill see you tomorrow. Night'

'Yh c ya. Night arnav'.

Ok what's the big emergency you called me for in the middle of the night?! asked Ayaan.

'Dude I'm screwed!'

'Yeah I can read that on your face but what's happened? '

'Khushi happened'

'The secretary?'

'Yh! Dude I think I like her! Maybe even love her'

'Woah! Who are you and what have you done with my friend?'

'Duude!'

'Ok so like what's the shit part?'

'Ayaan she's my partner. I can't date her. And dad.. I don't even wanna think about what he'll do to me man!'

'Ok she's your partner. So what dude! Office romance is cool'

'Not when you've got a dad like mine. And what if she doesn't like me you know.'

'Dude sh just a girl. Chill'.

'I can't stop thnking about her, how many times has that happened before.'

'Ook seems serious. You should tell her'

'You crazy. No way'

'Arnav you're being a girl dude. Only they think so much about such stuff. C'mon be a man. Go up to her, take her in your arms and-'

'Seriously you're no help Ayaan! Take her in he my arms and freak her out! Yeah real smooth.'

'Ok so plan A dropped' How about'.'

Arnav and Ayaan kept talking over it for hours at the end all arnav knew was that he had to give this one chance, whatever it was between him and Khushi it deserved a chance.

'Ok then Plan.. What was it again?'

'Dude we've made too many 'plans' the alphabets ended a long time ago.'

'OK then whatever. Plan confession it is!'

'Great now can we play psp?'

'Lol dude the wait must be torture. Yeah c'mon'

Believe me, I have read a few FFs, though not many, only because the writing style never grips me for long and I end up discontinuing !!

But the way, you wrote it is just too cool !!!

I had goosebumps when Arnav realises that he has fallen for Khushi !!!
