Generation 5:A new chapter in Yrkkh
Part 3:
Mahendar had been mighty impressed. And so he had hired him, telling him what exactly he does, and Arnavs job was to cover for Mahendar each time a murder was planned, he would place himself in such a manner that, after the murder Arnav would land up in and around the place and make it look like an innocent child is walking around for help and by that time Mahendar would escape. While working with Mahendar, Arnav learnt and observed how this supari killer had systematically planned everything right from how to plan the murder to, how to execute it to finally washing his hands off. But soon Mahendar, who noticed Arnavs potential and realised he was being wasted. The only reason why he was with Mahendar was due to his zest to earn money.
One day Mahendar, called Arnav and told him, he strongly felt, he was not made to kill people, but to make their lives. He had told him, that he was an intelligent boy, and he should study. He tells him how when he was young he didn't know better and now that he is mentoring someone, he would certainly not want a young boy, especially someone like Arnav to follow this path, as he had genuinely began to grow affectionate towards him and had begun to like him like a son he never had. He had told him he would support Arnav in every way, but he didn't want a little child like him to waste his life, playing accomplice to a murderer.
Arnav did go away that day, but returned the very next day to tell him he didn't want to quit his job, and that, he didn't want money without working for it. Arnav had one condition, he didn't want to be called son anyone especially after his own parents had betrayed them. He knew clearly, that he wanted money for his sister, and he would bring the world to her feet, and didn't care how he did it. The boy showed so much stubbornness Mahendar had no option but to take the little boy back in.
That evening, Mahendar while carrying out his plan, had got shot point blank and little Arnav who was as usual acting as an accomplice ran upto to him to save him, only to realise it was too late. Before dying Mahendar took a promise from Arnav, that no matter how tempting and how easy going this path would, he will never thread it again. He tells him he had strongly believed, god had punished him in time for getting carried away by a little child and showing him the wrong path. He had told him, that he had put some money in his locker, and that, all of that money would become Arnavs but, he would have to be honest with himself and claim all of it, after he had finished his education and use it for something productive. In the meanwhile the interest he would earn on it would be Arnavs salary, for being a good accomplice all these days and he could take care of his sister.
Arnav had told his nani and his family he had been working as an apprentice with a carpenter for all these days and now after his death he would continue to work there and run the shop for him. Slowly however, Mahendars friends drove Arnav out of the carpentry store while Arnav kept the money and the locker secret to himself. Arnav by 16, had started to encourage his mami to take up tailoring that was a part time hobby. He had told her, they could make dresses and sell them. At first, she was reluctant, but when some of her clothes began to fetch money, Manorama found the idea lucrative. They had set up a small tailoring shop by the name Manorama Matchings. By the time he was 18, he had taken her permission to sell that small business off to buy a small time clothing mill by the name Raizada Mills with the money that had accrued. The family had been used to Arnav and his odd jobs and his independent nature and very rarely questioned him, and his anger would turn the house upside down. Besides they did realise the boy had a large role to play in running the house at such a young age. He would do all of this and also do well in school. He would get enough marks to shut everyone else up in the house.
In 7 years Raizada mills transformed into Raizada industries, one of the biggest textile manufacturing companies in India. 28 year old Arnav Singh Raizada had everything to himself, riches, a family a sister who doted on him. He had also gotten his sister married to a man, who had risked his own life in trying to save Anjali during one of their family holidays. Gopal had shown total dedication and love towards Anjali and the entire family was convinced no one would love Anjali more and hence Arnav had fulfilled his first responsibility towards his sister.
Today, after 15 years, as Arnav heard the song ringing in his ears again, Arnav wondered if he was back to his childhood, where everything was perfect. But his semi-conscious mind knew he had been dreaming and this gave rise to total restlessness in his mind making him wake up in cold sweat.🤣...!!!!!
