Armaan rushed out of class not caring about what the rest of the classmates, the professor, or Sid - Riddhima's so called fiance, thought regarding his abrupt departure.
Armaan got into his car and rushed towards Riddhima's home knowing very well she wouldn't answer her cellphone even if he tried calling again. He wondered if everything was okay and mentally cursed himself for maintaining his distance these past few weeks. Riddhima was now in her 7th month, but he had stopped going to the doctor with her, he hadn't gone during her 6th month as that was shortly after her confession. He didn't even know if their baby was a boy or girl. He quickly rushed into the house making his way towards Riddhima ignoring the questioning looks of Padma aunty.

Sid wondered what happened to the guy who ran out of the class. He wondered if that was Armaan. He shrugged his thoughts and walked out of the classroom and around the campus feeling Riddhima all around him. He smiled picturing her all over the campus.

Sid smiled and got into his car and drove to a bakery to pick up sweets for Riddhima.

Armaan walked into Riddhima's room. "Riddhima? Why aren't you going to school this week? Aur you got engaged? to Sid? Why didn't you tell me anything?" Riddhima sighed and looked at Armaan. "Armaan, I..I'm fine. You could say the pregnancy is getting to me I suppose."
Armaan looked at her. "You're lying, but why?" Riddhima looked at him. Of course of all people he would be the one to catch her lies, after all he knew her so well, or so she had thought. If he knew her that well, he would have seen and realized her love. But maybe he did, he just didn't love her and didn't know what to say or do.
"Really Armaan. I'm okay aur so is our daughter. and haan, I've gotten engaged. Sid has always wanted to marry me, aur I realize now that with the baby coming, it'd be good for her to have a stable family. And if you're wondering, yes it's confirmed. We're having a baby girl. Sid really loves me and cares for me. I hope that one day I will be able to return the feeling. Aur about missing school, it would have been my last week anyways. I'll be taking exams soon. Then as soon as they are over and I hit the 8th month, Sid and I are getting married. The way he sees it, i'll be giving birth as a married woman."
She slightly smiled thinking of Sid. He was so caring. Despite everything, he still was insistent on marrying her.
"One more thing Armaan. Sid was wondering if you would mind if we give our daughter the Modi name as opposed to Mallik?"
Armaan looked at her shocked. "you're bloody kidding me right? I don't care what he thinks. This baby is MY daughter. And she will have MY name only. Do you get that? I don't give a d**n what the circumstances are, were, or will ever be. She is MY daughter NOT his. When he has his own kid, he can give THAT kid his name. Understand?"
Riddhima nodded. She was expecting this answer. Given the circumstances, she was happy he felt that way.
Armaan watched as sid walked in with a basket full of baked treats and kissed Riddhima's forehead. After giving them a meaningful look he quickly walked out, going back to his car and returning to University.

He thought how right he was. Riddhima didn't love him. If she really had, she wouldn't be engaged to another man.

Anjali hugged Atul as he walked out of the plane with his luggage. She couldn't control her tears as she finally saw Atul after so many days. "Hey, Anji, baby kya hua?" She held him tighter, "I missed you so much Atul, itna sab kuch hogaya yahaan..." Atul hugged Anjali knowing she needed him. He took her out to the beach and made her sit down next to him on a rock.
"Atul, agar I ever make a mistake unknowingly, or in a drunken state, but throughout it all I know I only love you, will you forgive me?" Atul looked at her, "Aisa kyun poonch rahe ho? I guess it would depend on the situation. Par if I know you only love me aur it won't happen again, haan I'll always stand by you. I don't think I could live without you. Par kya hua?" Anjali sighed. She explained everything that had happened with Riddhima to date. "She's gone through so much in such little time. I..I feel so scared. I feel so bad for her, par at the same time it's like what if that were us?"
Atul sighed, "Baby, I am NOT Abhi okay? Nor am I Armaan. and you are NOT Riddhima. We'll always stand by each other. Tum hi toh ho meri zindagi. Aur Sounds to me like Armaan and Riddhima had hidden feelings for each other, otherwise that night would have never happened. And clearly she and Abhi were never meant to be. Aur rahi Sid, well I don't know. I really just don't know."

Riddhima sat in her bed and shed tears as Sid left. What had her life become? Three guys in less than 7 months? Her life had become a joke! She loved Armaan so much, par now she was engaged to Sid. None if mattered anymore anyway. She couldn't fathom why Sid would still want to marry her, but she guessed it was his love - that's what he said, and she believed it, but it still baffled her.
She sighed and began munching on a cupcake while going through her notes. Her exams would begin soon she knew she couldn't keep crying as it would harm the baby.
