CID episode 81 - 27th September
This chapter is dedicated to two very special people. One of whom is a member on IF but the other isn't. Last week, these two lost a very special person from their lives.
This Chapter is entirely dedicated to Anu who lost her Uncle & Inzie who lost her Father. Both of you I know it's very hard when you lose someone. But you need to stay strong; you need to smile for him. He wouldn't want to see any of you upset. Cherish his memories. And he passed away only a couple of days before Ramadan, which is such a good sign. Inzie I don't know you personally but from what I've heard from Anu you seem like a strong girl, so stay strong for your Dad and even more for your Mum & little sister - from now on you're their support. And just remember no matter what, you'll never be alone =)
Hope you both get through this, love you guys<3
Everyone please do pray for Inzie's Dad<33
Before I do post Chapter 2 I want to say a BIG thank you to everyone who has supported and liked Chapter 1, seeing all that support motivated me a lot! I hope I can live up to all of your guys expectations in Chapter 2.
Chapter 2 - The Past Catches Up
"Mummy can we have Ice-Cream tomorrow too, and next week" Rhea turned to look at her Mum.
"Rhea shall we have Ice-Cream today and then think about the other days?" She let out a little laugh.
They had just reached the Ice-Cream Parlour. Rhea pushed the door open, that gave a little ting, and ran forward to the counter. Her Mum followed her in. They stood in the queue, infront of them there was a woman ordering Ice-Cream. She paid for her items and turned around, she came face to face with Rhea and her Mum.
"Oh my god, Rhiddhima" The woman who had just turned around from the counter to face Rhea and her Mum, let out a shocked expression on her face.
Rhiddhima took Rhea's hand and gave a smile to the woman standing in front of her. "Hey Anjali, it's been a long time na"
"Is this; is this your daughter Ridzy?" Anjali knelt down to Rhea.
"Yeah, she's my little angel Rhea" Rhiddhima squeezed Rhea's hand.
"Hello Rhea, I'm Anjali" She held out a hand to Rhea.
"Rhea say hello to Aunty" Rhiddhima gave Rhea a nod.
"Hi Aunty, I'm Rhea"
"Awwh, and would Rhea like some Ice-Cream?" Anjali winked at Rhea.
"Yes please" Rhea gave a shy smile.
"How cutee. Ridzy you take Rhea to that corner table I'll be over there soon"
"Umm yeah sure" Rhiddhima took Rhea's hand and led her over to the corner table by the window.
After a few minutes Anjali joined them. She handed Rhea her strawberry Ice-Cream and slid a cup of coffee across to Rhiddhima.
"Mummy can I go play over there!" Rhea pointed towards a play-corner just directly opposite them.
"Sure you can Rhea Mummy won't mind at all" Anjali looked up at Rhiddhima.
Rhiddhima nodded at Rhea. Rhea ran off to the play corner. There was a silence for a few minutes before Anjali spoke.
"It's been 4 years Ridzy-"
"I would rather we not talk about that Anjali" Rhiddhima cut her off. She took a sip of her coffee and looked at Rhea who was too busy playing to see her Mum's stare.
"Rhiddhima till when will you keep pretending everything is alright when it's clearly not?"
"Who said everything's not alright?" Rhiddhima turned to look at Anjali.
"Ridzy look at you, you're not the same Rhiddhima I knew 4 years back, everything about you is changed, after that incident-"
"Anjali, people change it's nothing new, life is all about changes."
"And this is the same Rhiddhima talking who used to hate changes? Ridzy why are you doing this to yourself? Why are you punishing yourself and Rhea?"
"I'm not punishing myself, and as for Rhea she's very happy as she is. We have each other we don't need anyone else."
"What about when Rhea grows up and questions you about her Dad? What will you answer her then?" Anjali let a sigh out.
"The truth. I'll tell her the truth." Rhiddhima looked up from her coffee to glance at Rhea. A tear dropped down her cheek.
Anjali reached over and placed her hand on Rhiddhima's, she looked up at her. "Ridzy don't do this. It's still not too late, we can find-"
"What's done is done Anjali"
"You know Ridzy when I got back from Paris and found out what happened to you four, I was shocked. You guys were the best of friends. That night changed all of your four lives-"
"Anjali leave it...please" Rhiddhima whispered.
"Have you heard from Maan or Geet?" Anjali gave Rhiddhima a worried look.
"No I haven't not after that night. I left straight away for London."
"Oh right, okay. Ridzy you should contact them, they'll be worried about you"
"And what am I supposed to say to them?" Rhiddhima pushed her coffee away.
"What about..." Anjali paused before saying the next part, "Armaan?"
Rhiddhima looked up, the name echoed everywhere. Armaan. Armaan. Armaan. Several tears dropped from her eyes hearing that name. "Armaan" She let out a little whisper.
She stood up. "I need to go, I'm sorry, I hope to catch you soon again"
"Rhiddhima-" Anjali said with a upset tone to her voice.
"Rheaaa" Rhiddhima called out.
Rhea came running to her Mum.
"Come on baby we're going now" Rhiddhima took Rhea's hand in her own.
"Aunty aren't you going to come with us?" Rhea turned to ask Anjali.
"No my little princess not this time, but I pakka promise next time I will!" Anjali pulled Rhea's soft cheek.
"Come on Rhea say bye to Aunty."
"Byeee Aunty" Rhea ran to Anjali and gave her a hug.
"Bye Anjali. I hope to see you around here." Rhiddhima gave her a little smile before turning around and walking out of the Ice-Cream Parlour hand in hand with Rhea.
Anjali watched them walking out. "Rhiddhima till when will you keep running from the past?" She muttered to herself.
A man approached Anjali at the table. "Excuse me, was that Rhiddhima you were talking to?"
