Part 32:

Nupur woke up and turned to look at Mayank, realizing now, that he was holding onto her like never before, sleeping. Whatever it did to Nupur, she need not pacify her racing heart since he wouldn't know in his sleep. In return, she stole glimpses of him like never before, up close.

There was no doubt that he looked like a dream but what made Nupur happier while looking at his face was the person in him. She hadn't thought that seeming so stiff and reserved he would extend his sweet gestures to her so easily. Though he would sometimes act very strict or scoff at her ways, there was no denying that, but then she was trying to understand that too. After all, life couldn't be all super sweet and gifting all the time and people were not much different too. Mayank too had perfect contrasting shades to him and suprising herself, she admitted that it didn't bother him much now for some reason.

She also realized how easy it was for her look at him now, it should have been earlier too right? But no it was not, especially yesterday! However she wanted to look deep in those chocolate deep brown eyes of his when he talked through it so much, she many a times ended up looking away for no particularly logical reason. She sighed as she missed looking in them right now.

She watched to heart's content as she saw Mayank twisting his jaws and shrinked his eyes as he woke up. She saw Mayank narrowing her eyes on Nupur and then giving a subtle expression that Nupur could now easily realize as a smile. He wasn't exactly smiling, but yeah it was pleasantly looking like a smile.

Nupur could now look in those deep brown ones as he himself targeted hers with his, but oh, wait, she looked else where again! Why was she doing it again and again and again, huh?

She suddenly realized one more thing, Mayank who when he got up every day, himself moved away from her not to make her awkward, but today. She felt nervous and looked too.

Now life is full of surprising, is completely true. Mayank had a very good morning when he saw Nupur looking at him just like yesterday, a bit confused, a bit happy, a bit embarrassed. He immediately felt pleasant. As he looked at her judgingly, she couldn't stand his gaze and looked away. How on earth do people get lost in each others eyes, Nupur always preferred looking else where! He got up slowly, a bit disappointed!

Nupur sat up too beside him and trying to lively up again, she said, "Good Morning!" It indeed was a good morning and she needed to tell him too! She smilingly got her feets down from the bed and stood up to get ready for the day when she sensed Mayank's hand holding onto her wrist and holding her back.

Frankly she wasn't expecting this at all. How much change had they accepted in their relation in such a short time, she wondered?

Mayank smiled and went ahead to stand by her side. As Nupur looked up in his eyes he said extremely softly but with a hint of laughter, "Nupur kal tumhe hi itni baatein karni thi isliye time dekho we are getting late for the office…but it was your fault, so I'll go get ready first"

As Nupur looked at him baffled, she was more astonished when he smiled, picked her up and lightlyputting her in the bed again and drawing the blanket on her, he finished before walking off to the bathroom, "Tab tak tum aaram se so jaao, okay!"
