Why life is looking so bright..was that too light that by sharing it I am feeling so relived or was that too hard that I needed someone to help me in that...Am I really the Maan Singh Khurana who makes decision in a minute about anything but today I am feeling confused...I told everything to Geet but I did not ask one thing..Was she really in love with me?..Why she has not married yet..but how can I relate it with her loving me..maybe she is carrer oriented ..its 21st century..But I will fulfill my promise..I will try to become her old Maan..
Chahak came to her room and saw Maan engrossed in thoughts..
Chahak hugged Maan(his legs)"Papa tension me ho"
Maan hugged her back coming to present and sat on bed "No princess..Papa was just thinking"
Chahak sat on his lap"You are not feeling like sleeping"
Maan"No"
Chahak"Then I will tell the story of Ramayan Sid uncle had taught me..You know papa whole class clapped as no one had heard that story in Sid uncle's style"
Maan"Accha and who is Sid uncle?"
Chahak"Sid uncle is my doctor who had came that day to.."
Maan's phone rang
Maan"Beta excuse me for a minute...Adi uncle ka phone
hai"
Chahak"Adi uncle I will talk to him"
Maan"First let papa talk to him ..he would have some
work"
Maan received the call and it took him an hour to put the call off as he was discussing some important points about the meeting they had next day
Maan turned to see Chahak to continue their talk but she was sleeping hugging the teddy she had brought with her..Maan covered her with blanket and slept beside her
Next morning Daadi marched to Maan's room hearing some strange noise and saw Maan had become horse and giving a grand ride to princess of Khurana mansion on her back and was making sound like horse ..Chahak was very much enjoying this ride
Daadi was also pleased to see maan doing this
Daadi"Maan beta ye kya ho raha hai subah subah"
Maan"My princess had kept a condition if I will do something new then she will go to school today"
Daadi"Accha..then you got the ride shaitan ..ab bhagiye jaldi se warna school ke liye late ho jayengi aap"..Chahak got off from her horse
Maan"Daadi ma...Chahak told from tomorrow she has a week's holiday so I thought we can visit our farmhouse with her friends"
Daadi ma checked his temperature
Daadi"No,you don't have fever then why are you talking like that Maan..You want to go for vacation..Am I dreaming?"
Maan "You are mocking at me daadima"
Daadi "Kaun hum...Beta if a person will see flower in desert than this is a normal reaction"
Maan"Daadi ma..I know you were never happy to see me like a body without soul but believe me that was not easy for me..I wish I could tell you the reason"
Daadi"I don't want to know Maan if it hurts you to tell but I am happy to get my grandson back"
Maan looked at the watch "Oh God..I am late ,I have a meeting"..He rushed towards washroom...Daadi left to see Chahak
In Office..Maan who was having straight face or eyes red like burning sun was responding to everyone's greeting with a smile..Geet came late that day
Geet"Adi sir ...DD ka mood kaisa hai?"
Before Adi could have said anything Pinky started "Oye Geet I felt I am watching any magic show..Maan sir is smiling since he has come to the office and he took chips from my packet.."
Geet gave a cheerful smile but it soon disappeared when she heard Maan shouting..She rushed to his cabin and saw Maan scolding a poor chap cause he asked for ten holidays to have a vacation that he had promised to his family..Maan told him to come later when he saw Geet
Maan"Come Geet ..have a seat"
Geet"Maan why you were shouting at Mukesh?"
Maan"He want to go for a vacation with his family so he wanted ten days leave..and how much I change in my life I cannot change my attitude towards my work"
Geet"But Daadi ma told me you yourself is going for a week's vacation with your family and Chahak's friends..it should apply to you as well"
Maan"Ok then I wont go for vacation"
Geet"Why don't you give him leave?..Maan don't be so rude"
Maan"And who will do his work?"
Geet"I will do"
Maan"But you are also coming with us .."
Geet"No..no..no I am not"
Maan"I will give him leave if you will come along with us"
Geet"I don't want to come but if you are insisting then ok..I will think but my salary wont be cut"
Both laughed...Maan granted leave to that employee
In evening...Chahak was sitting in her room waiting for Geet
Maan"What happened ?my princess is looking so much tensed"
Chahak"Tension ki baat hi hai Papa ye Geet aunty hume pagal kar dengi..it looks I am her Bf the way I am waiting for her"
Maan laughed at his daughter's words
Maan"Why my princess will wait for Geet..Come I will play with you"
Maan was blindfolded ...he was searching for Chahak ...Geet just entered Maan's bck was towards her so she did not notice the blindfold and she enhanced towards him Maan felt someone around he hold Geet's hand and pulled gently thinking of Chahak she twirled and stumbled as she stepped on the pillow on floor ..they both slipped and ended up falling on bed..Maan till then had understood that was not Chahak..He was on top of Geet covering her..His hand around her waist and Geet was holding tightly Maan's arm..He removed slowly the blindfold from the eyes and saw Geet who was under him ..staring her..They were lost as their eyes were talking...Maan was about to brush off the locks which had covered Geet's beautiful face when Chahak clapped and shouted with joy"Papa haar gaye"
Maan immediately got up brushing his thoughts aside but he had to admit ...
The beauty of her eyes
were so intense that
he forgot everything
he felt like he is drowning
And only she can save him...
