Geet came back to her room all excited with the idea of opening her gifts. There was a pile of gifts wrapped up in beautiful gift papers. Her eyes shone with excitement and she jumped on her bed opening it one by one. There was gifts from everyone and at last her eyes fell on the most attractive and beautiful gift packet.

Picking it up geet smiled and whispered...

My unknown friend...her eyes twinkled like always whenever she hold the unnamed gift every year. Though she never knew who send it to her, but nonetheless she always loved the gifts as they were always special something she always desire for. She wonder how he always knew what she wants or desire for. She hurriedly opened the wrapper and looked at the box trying to guess what it could be and then finally opened the box...

Her eyes widened as she saw the sparkling diamond bracelet. It was the same bracelet she had seen at the hall a few days back when she went for shopping with her friends.

OMG...!!...how did he knew I liked this...??...was he there...??...who this guy is...??...all sorts of questions bounced in her head. She desperately wanted to know about her secret friend, who knew her so well...!!

There was a note inside the box too, which read...HAPPY FRIENDSHIP'S DAY...!!

Smiling at the note she kept it aside and soon her mind drifted to the only person she wished to be right there beside her, her maan...!!

She wished she could wish him and feed him the cake with her own hands like she used to do when they were small. Sometimes its better to be small, that reduces complication as a heart is purest in a juvenile...!!

Sighing she wore the bracelet and kept the other gifts in her cupboard safely.

Next day everyone left for school on time as it was final rehersal day along with the written competitions like essay and quiz...!!

Meera was going to the hall where the essay competition was held, when dev blocked her way...

Hi meera...he greeted her with his charming smile. Meera smiled seeing dev and said...

Dev, what are you doing here...??

Why...??...aren't you happy seeing me, huh...??...he asked and cheekily added...btw, thats strange...girls die for my one look and you are disappointed...he made a face

Dev...!!...she shook her head at his antics. By now meera was used to dev's flirty style and it was a source of amusement for her.

Ok...ok...well, madam I am also participating in the english essay competition...he said as a matter of factly

Really...??...she said excitedly...thats so wonderful...!!

Dev chuckled...looks like you don't consider me a competition...!!

Meera rolled her eyes at his comment...

Its nothing like that, I am just happy to have company to the hall...she replied with a sweet smile

Hmm, so lets go...he offered while meera nodded and both strode off towards the hall.

It was fourth period and the dance groupmembers were continuously practising. They were doing there best best to give the perfect finish to their dance as tomorrow was the main event and there was no way they could let DPS loose...!!

By now maan was use to holding geet without getting weak, may be bcoz for him his school reputation meant a lot and others were giving their hundred percent, so he couldn't let down his schoolmates as wellas his mishty,who was practising with her heart and soul to make the dance work...!!

The bell rang for the recess and the students went back to their respective classes. Soon meera returned back to her class and everyone asked about her essay...

Hey meera, how was it...??...yash asked while others waited for her reply

It was good, but competition is quite tough. There were many students worthy for it...she replied honestly as well as generously

Geet hugged her sideways and replied...

Oh come on meera, whoever was there, its only you who's gonna win...she said confidently

Of course, after all our meera is no less...vicky said sitting beside geet

Guys, stop it okay...and vicky aren't you going to support your brother...??...meera asked with a teasing smile

What...??...dev bhai has also participated...??...vicky asked confused

Yeah...!!...don't you know...??

No...??...pata hota toh tumse puchta kya...??...he mocked at meera's silly question, but then a naughty gleam creptuphis eyes and he asked...

By the way meera, why are you supporting bhai so much, huh...??...vicky winked at meera making her go allred in embarrasment.

Not knowing where to look, she fumbled...

Woh, I...I didn...I mean...its nothing like that vicky...!!

She was hell embarrased which was quite evident to everyone present there. Looking at the totally flushed meera, geet immediately came to her friend's aid and admonished vicky...

Vicky, don't irritate meera uselessly...she turned to meera and said...don't pay heed to his useless comment meera, all the three khurana brothers arejust the same...!!

Hey, geet...thats not fare...vicky retorted getting offended

Yeah right...geet replied sarcastically

Okay, I am sorry meera...vicky said givng up

Thats better...geet said with a grin while vicky rolled his eyes at her and meera chuckled letting out a sigh of relief

Hey geet, how did your last rehersal went...??...all set...??...nt asked

Don't ask, it was hell tiring, but I am happy the act has turned out beautifully and we will rock tomorrow...she said enthusiastically

It was sunday, late afternoon and everyone was having snacks and tea, chatting in the hall in KM. Mohinder and rano were finally back to take geet with them. Maan was happy that finally geet will be more safe, but somewhere in his heart there was a horrendous pain realizing the fact that geet will no longer be with him, so close. Though living in the adjacent house, it was like she was going miles away...!!

Vicky came down with a big face for he didn't wanted to let go geet this soon...!!

Seriously mohinder, pata hi nahi chala how these days passed away. It feels like she had arrived just yesterday...raj said with a sadness in his voice.

Haan bhai saab, I wish I could keep geet here forever...naina said with a smile

As soon as the words escaped her mouth two heads snapped towards her like they have been suddenly electrocuted. Both maan and vicky flet like their heart's wish has been conveyed through words. Vicky looked towards his brother and was satisfied with the reaction. Anyone who had a good look at maan'sface could easily figure out that he was not at all happy with the news.

But naina, without geet, how will we survive...??...rano said being all senti...these two weeks have been so torturing without geet, though she herself is a trouble maker, yet I would prefer being with my sweet little devil...she smiled while others laughed at rano's adjective to geet.

By the way, I think geet and maan have to leave for the hall in sometime, so it'll be better if you all join us for dinner tonight and then take geet after that...raj suggested to which naina instantly added...

Exactly, even I wanted to say the same...!!

Yes aunty we all are going to see the competition at ********* auditorium. Its a huge competition and they have prepared a rocking act for it...vicky interrupted unable to control his zeal.

Ok if you all say so...mohinder said making everyone happy

Maan got up from his place and left to his room to get ready.

Geet was packing her stuffs when she found her earing missing...

Hey babaji...!!...where is my earing...??...she said looking intently through her case as only one earing was there.

But where can it be...??...I haven't even used it recently...she thought frowning, then suddenly it struck her...

Shit...!!...I wore it the day before friendship's day. Is it there...??...she felt nervous at the thought of entering his room again.

Last time he has been furious, but that earing is mama's gift, how can I leave it like that...??...she reasoned her own thoughts...I have to get it...she made up her mind

Scanning the corridor, she stealthily went towards his room and found it locked...

As expected...she muttered under her breath and fished out the duplicate key she got from nakul by outrageous blackmailing about revealing his romance with the gardener's daughter.

Thank god I had witnessed him confessing to rekha( gardener's daughter ), otherwise god knows what I had to do to enter the devil's den...she thought inserting the key in the hole.

Getting inside, she instantly closed the door looking here and there. Sighing in relief that no one was there, she tip-toed inside and started with her search. Suddenly the sound of water startled her. She instantly looked at the bathroom from where the sound was coming and realized that maan was inside. Gasping in horror she swiftly turned around to run from there, when her eyes fell on a shiny thing on the study table of maan.

Thinking for a while she stopped and went closer to have a better look at it. Her eyes widened as she recognized her earing...

Oh my god...!!...she let out a small shriek and grabbed the ornament...thank you babaji, I thought I had to search for it in the whole room...she payed her gratitude to her babaji and turned around to leave when she felt a tug on her duppatta.

Clutching the duppatta around her neck, her eyes dialated in absolute terror...is she caught...??...came the first question in her mind...!!

Turning around slowly she let out a sigh of relief as the corner of the duppata stucked to the cupboad's handle came to her view. Moving closer she softly pulled it out, but there was enough force which opened the cupboard.

Oh no...!!...she saw maan has left his cupboard open, may be for getting his dress out. The first thought that came to her mind was close the goddam cupboard and run away as soon as possible as maan may come out anytime and if he found her probing into his cupboard once again, she'll surely be dead...!!

But she didn't knew if it was her utter foolishness or unmeasurable courage that she stopped and peeped inside his cupboard. Hesitatingly she glanced a look at his neat and clean cupboard as she didn't got a chance last time and was amazed to see the condition.

Somewhere she felt her mother was actually right in scolding her with maan's example as he has actually kept the cupboard outstandingly tidy. She couldn't help but admire his disciplined nature,smiling shyly she was about ot close the cupboard when her eyes felt on something that was visible from the gap between his two shirts.

Frowning deeply she pushed the hangers aside and what came into her vision took her breath away...!!

Her pupils dialated to their maximum while her heart almost stopped for a moment. She felt the floor beneath her slipped away with the sight infront of her...

Is this for real, or a wild imagination of hers...??...she thought gasping aloud

She even forgot to blink her lashes fearing the sight to obliterate the moment she'll blink.

If its a dream then please don't wake me up...came the first thought in her mind as she saw her most desired wish to be completed.

There on the back wall of his cupboard was full of her pictures. Every emotion of her was captivated in those pics like he was living with her capturing every single moment of her in the pictures. Pictures of her while smiling, crying, making weird faces, sleeping, fighting, cutely pouting, frowning, laughing...each and every emotions were there in a colage form.

But that was not the end, there was a big potrait of her in the center which was a sketch and that too hand made. She inched closer to read the name that was scribbed at the bottom and was shocked out of her wits and name escaped her lips...

Maan...!!

Oh babaji...!!...she was thrilled...amazed...elated...ecstatic...she actually didn't know how to react. She was electrocuted.

He can sketch...??...came the next thought piercing her brain

She felt the world around her moving in a whirlpool. Tears of happiness flooded her eyes as her heart felt the overwhelmed emotion of love and being loved back...!!

Yes, maan loves her...he really does...!!...the mere thought was making her whole body glow with excitement as well as contenment. She can't believe, here she was going mad in making him realize her love for him when actually he has been in love with her all this while...!!

She very lovingly caressed the picture which was handmade and blushed at the thought of maan's imagination of her features resulting into such a beautiful picture. The potrait was more beautiful than her...that was what she thought...!!

Soon her chain of thought were broken as the sound of shower suddenly halted. Wiping her tears that were threatening to fall, she closed the cupboard as it was and rushed out of the room before maan could see her...!!

Maan came out of the bathroom rubbing his hair with a towel. As soon as he entered his room a very familiar as well as enticing scent teased his nostrils and the name of the owner automatically escaped his lips...

Geet...!!

He felt a gush of cool breeze struck his whole body informing him of her presence.

Geet was here...??...he thought frowning and scanned the room

He sighed closing his eyes and dropped the towel in the bucket of clothes to be sent for washing. Coming to his cupboard he opened it and was surprised to smell the same fragrance and knotted his brows...

Why do I feel geet was here...??

However, shrugging off the feeling he pulled out his dress and got ready as he had to reach the hall soon for the competition...!!
