Part 4

She crashed on the bed. It was a very tiring and unusual day for her. A day without him. She thought Armaan was her life and she lived for him and loved only him. But today she felt there was something missing in her life. A spark which would light up her day. A smile which would brighten her up. A naughtiness which she enjoyed. A concern which she craved for. She was missing Sid and was constantly being reminded about him the whole day be it in hospital, at home or in the car.

The day started off with her waking up all startled - thinking about Sid. Armaan came to pick her up and both went to the hospital together. She entered the hospital hoping to find him there but all her hopes shattered when she got to know he was not there. She saw the board where the names of interns were written. She lovingly looked at the name Siddhant Modi and ran her fingers through every letter as if it was him and she was caressing his face. She was so lost in imagining that she couldn't hear her name being called.

"Riddhima!"

Riddhima almost jumped and immediately removed her hand from the board and looked around to find an irritated Armaan looking at her.

"I was just looking at the points" she mumbled something and left the place. Armaan followed her as usual.

Armaan excitedly said, "Lets go out on a date today. All preparations are done. I bet you'll enjoy today. Only both of us together." and he smirked giving the naughty smile.

Both of us together? Riddhima slightly shivered hearing this. No she shouldn't have as she always wanted this. To spend some quality time with her lover and now she's getting it. But why is she reluctant?

"N..No.. Actually I have a lot of work today in the hospital. Some other day please" she pleaded. But Armaan being what he is started persuading her. He said "Common basket! You can't do this. We are now one after such a long struggle. We won the battle and now you are totally mine."

"Ar...maan I really have loads of work today. I'm telling you some other time. Now please let me do my work"

"No! This is not done. You are coming out with me and that too Today!" he said and without waiting for any response left from there. Riddhima watched him walk away and headed towards her cabin. She kept herself busy with some work throughout the day avoiding the stares of Armaan as well as the looks of the staff. She heard two nurses talking "Wonder why she left such a good guy? If she always wanted to go back to her ex why did she have to marry him again. Poor Sid. He must have broken totally"

Riddhima knew this would happen people pointing out at her and talking behind her back. She was not feeling bad that she was being spoken about like this but she genuinely felt bad for what she did to Sid and was worried about him, what was he doing, where was he? Did he totally forget her?

She finished her work before time and decided to got to the FE. She no longer remembered it as a place where her first so-called love was confessed, rather she wanted to relive the moments she spent with Sid and assure herself that once upon a time Sid loved her and she was happy to know that she was at least loved by him. She knew she was not meant to be his and she was not worth of his love.

Sid was having a good time with his old friends in Hyderabad. Manish and Nethra's parents died in an accident and that changed their lives. Manish was old enough to take over his dad's business with the help of some trusted seniors. Nethra was more society oriented. She worked for various NGOs and would always take part in social activities. She would visit orphanages and old age homes and help them in either cash or kind. So this would keep her traveling around but now she decided to stay here in Hyderabad to support his brother in business.

The two were more than happy to have Sid at their place as this would mean a new addition to their small family. Even Sid enjoyed their company and slowly but steadily he was overcoming his pain. He would at least twice a week talk to Yuvi and his family and would never forget to call Shilpa. But as always there wouldn't be an answer from her side. This irked Sid. He wanted to know how she was, what was she doing and cursed the moment he asked her to express her love for that man. He was not aware that both of them were being 'used' by A--R. This pained him. He somehow felt that he was responsible for Shilpa's suffering. He thought of calling Maasi but didn't have her number.

One night when Sid was lost in his thoughts, Nethra knocked his door. Sid asked her to come inside.

"You don't have to ask me always. Come in whenever you want"

"You'll regret saying this!" said Nethra with a naughty smile on her face.

Sid smiled and looked down again thinking of womething.

Nethra : "Chalo lets have ice cream!"

Sid : "Now? Are you mad?"

Nethra : "Yes I am. Now come jaldi otherwise Manish will not let us out. Please"

"Nethra its very late now. We'll go tomorrow"

"No you're coming and we are going now!" Nethra pulled Sid out of his room and both of them went out for a walk cum eating-ice cream in the night.

"Sid.. Did something happen to you?"

"What? No.. Nothing.. Why?"

"Stop lying and tell me. You might have forgotten that Sue is also my best friend and we talk to each other from when you came back. She said you were in Mumbai for a year. Why did you lie to us?" Nethra asked looking intently at Sid.
