"What?" Simran looked around to see what the boys were gaping at, but there was no one behind her. No, she thought. They're actually gaping at me. Shilpa, I LOVE you.
"What happened to you?" Vineet asked, walking around Rahul to his friend, still gaping.
"Hey Simmy," Nisha said, barley looking up from her one. Then she stopped and did a double take. "What the--?"
They all fell silent, taking in the sigh of Simran. Her normally pony tail hair was down nice and long. She was wearing very little make up, so it looked very elegant. And most of all, her salwar kameez was trades for skinny jeans and a very pretty, fancy top. She was completely altered.
"We're going to be late. Lets go," Simran said, pretending she hadn't heard any of the surprised comments from her friends and greabbing her stuff from her locker. But she enjoyed all of it secretly.

"Hey, kids!" Sid said excitedly, running into the Children's Ward, followed by Shilpa.
"Sid Bhai! Shilpa Di!" the kids ran up to the two doctors.
The two played with a kids a little. Shilpa wasn't sure what it was, but she couldn't stop looking at Sid while he played with the kids. She got some weird comfort. When Shilpa realized she was staring, she looked away quickly.
"Okay, kids, time fore your medicine," Shilpa said, getting the medicine from the corner of the room.
While she was handing the medicine to the kids, Shilpa couldn't help but looka at Sid once again.
Oh, God. What is wrong with me? she thought.

Nisha watched Vineet from the corner of her eye as she was checking her patient.
Since the day Vineet had saved her from falling, she couldn't stop thinking about him. She had started looking Vineet as a boyfriend rather than a frenemy. She had gotten many boys in the past, so getting Vineet would be a piece of cake.
"Take these two pills and then take a nice nap. I'll come back after a couple of hours, okay?" Nisha said nicely to her patient, and left to go talk to Vineet. "Hey, Vineet," she said a little flirtatiously.
Vineet gave her an awkward look. "Uh..hi."
"So, I didn't really get to fully thank you for yesterday."
"It was no big deal," Vineet said, putting his clipboard back next to his patient, who was asleep.
"So..I was wondering if you wanted to..go out with me?"
Vineet started coughing uncontrollably. "What?!"
"You heard me. You , me, date?"
"Uh...no."
"What? Why?" Nisha asked, not beliving that a boy had just said no to her.
"Because. I don't even like you like that." And then he left.
"Well, Dr. Vineet Chopra, you just said no to the wrong girl. If I don't get you to go out with me, my name isn't Nisha Patel."

"You look...very nice today," Rahul commented Simran as looked over their patient.
Simran smiled. "Thanks."
"Why this sudden change?" he asked curiously.
Simran shrugged. "Just felt like it, you know?"
Rahul nodded. He liked how Simran looked today. He couldn't help but staring when Simran wasn't looking. But he didn't want to ask her out because...well, because she had always been his friend, and knwoing her, she's just not his type. Just because she put on different clothes doesn't mean her personality has changed. She's problem still her quiet, uptight self.
Plus, it's not like she's into him.
"Hey," Simran snapped her fingers, raising her eyebrows. "What are thinking about? We have work to do remember?"
"Yeah, right."

Shilpa walked down the coridoor, a little skip in her walk. She had no idea why there was this skip in her walk but she kept walking.
Suddenly, her heel broke, making her trip when someone grabbed her from the waist.
"You should just stop wearing heels," Shilpa looked up to see a smiling Sid.
Shilpa laughed. "Yeah, or get new ones. These a little old. That's why they probably broke."
"Okay, well, I gotta go. Have to go see a patient that just came in. I'll see you later," Sid said, walking away.
Shilpa looked after him and smiled. She was ina sort of daze when she realized she was standing in the middle of the coridoor, looking after her friend. What am I doing?

Shilpa laid own in her bed, turning on the TV. Today had been a very strange day, and she just needed a break from it.
As she watched TV, her mind drifted a little, and suddenly, the actor on TV transformed into Sid. Shilpa blinked twice and the the actor went back to normal. Shilpa looked at the TV strangely and changed the channel. The same thing happened again.
What the heck? she thought, turning the TV off and putting her hand on her forehead. Why do I keep thinking about Sid?
