CHAPTER 10
(Piya leaves Abhay's cabin and is walking towards the front desk with a smile on her face. She just can't stop thinking about how Abhay agreed to her schedule for work. She is actually very surprised at his kind behavior towards her. Even though he agreed in his arrogant style, the fact that he agreed to her opinion was a big thing for her. She says to herself Abhay Raichand is not what he appears to the real world and has a soft and tender personality that he tries to hide from the world. She decides to find the reality).
(Reema sees Piya approaching her, but she realizes Piya's mind was somewhere else and there was this glow and smile on her face that was hard to miss).
Reema: Piya, there you are...wait a minute, whats up with this smile?
Piya (looking bit embarrassed): Hey Reema...what smile?
Reema: Piya Madam you may have been lost in someone's thoughts but half of the office staff are already looking at you as if you are a crazy girl walking around smiling to herself...
Piya: What?..ummm...its nothing
Reema: That's okay Piya...if you don't want to tell me, I am completely okay with it...
Piya: No..I mean ...its actually nothing...it is just that I thought Sir will not be happy with my work schedule that I gave it to him...but he is actually fine with it and wants me to work with him...so I am really happy...
Reema (shocked): You did what? You gave him your schedule instead of him giving you one? ...and Sir agreed to it...oh my Gosh! I am gonna faint now...Piya, what wrong with you? I told you so many times not to interfere in anything, but you never listened to me...now Sir may be planning to fire you...don't be happy thinking that he still kept you..it might be his plan...
Piya (laughing): Calm down Reema...Gosh!...He won't do anything like that or should I say he does not have power to do anything like that...I mean ...its high time now..someone needs to tell him that company runs successfully only if boss and workers work together and keep each other happy...not boss always getting angry with his staff..
(While Piya was talking to Reema, Abhay happen to pass through the hallway and hears their conversation. He just can't believe it that a simple girl like Piya has such guts to talk against him with other employees. He slowly approaches them. Reema sees this and signals Piya to stop, but Piya does not get it and continues to bash Abhay).
Piya: What is wrong with you Reema? Stop making those faces and listen to me..so what was I saying?..umm..so ya..that Mr. Sadu Raichand finally agreed with me in at least one thing...u know what ...it is good that he agreed otherwise I would not have left him so easily...I would have told him at his face that nobody in this office likes him because of his attitude and rudeness...
(Reema is very scared to see Abhay standing right behind Piya and listening to her. Reema just stand there as if she has been frozen).
Piya: that Mr. Sadu Raichand...I mean...what does it cost to at least smile?...He just walks around as if all the responsibilities of people in this world is in his shoulder...just think about it Reema, how happy our office staff will be if Sir would smile and talk to them...but no..I am pretty sure he will not do that...
Reema: Please Piya just stop it...you will get into big trouble...
Piya: What trouble? I don't care...I am not scared of Sir and I can tell him this at his face any time...
Abhay (angry): Why don't you do this now then?
(Piya is shocked hearing his voice. She slowly turns around to face him. She gets very scared when she sees him staring at her).
Abhay: Ms. Jaiswal did not you hear what I said?
Piya: Sirr..yes..i mean yes sir...
Abhay: so I can see Ms. Jaiswal...I agreed to just one thing that you said and you are already thinking that you can do whatever you want...this is my office Ms. Jaiwal...and I will not tolerate such behavior in here...you are just another employee of this office and you will be treated in a similar way...now for this behavior you will get punishment..
Piya: but Sir...
Abhay: No, buts...Ms. Jaiswal..I guess you have taken my kindness as my weakness...so for that you will get what you deserve...tomorrow instead of coming to office at 10AM you will come in at 7AM and prepare all the paper works for presentation...is that clear?
Piya: but Sir...tomorrow will be my first day and I don't even know details of this project...
Abhay: well, I think tonight and tomorrow morning should be more than enough time for you to make yourself familiar with this project...
Piya (surprised): but Sir..
Abhay: Again but...have you developed habit of arguing with me for everything I say...now it will be better if you leave..you have lots of work to do I believe...
(Before Piya says anything, Abhay leaves. Piya is very angry watching Abhay leave).
Piya: Reema why did you not tell me he was standing behind me?
Reema: why did I not tell you? oh hello madam...I tried to give you so many hints, but you never stopped bashing him...
Piya (sad): Now, what will I do Reema?
Reema: there is no other way Piya...just go home now and prepare for presentation for tomorrow...I know Sir very well...he will make your like hell if you don't do as he says..I told you Sir is very unpredictable...so now be very careful dealing with him...
Piya (angry): Ohhh I can't tell you Reema how much I hate him...what does he think of himself?...uhhh...I just don't want to stay here anymore...I am going...do hell with his project..
(Piya leaves angrily).
Jaiswal House:
(Sugandh sees Piya coming).
Sugandh: Hi, beta how was your day?
Piya: uhhh...mama...don't even ask me that question...everything was going fine until that sadu raichand came and messed up everything...
Sugandh: Sadu Raichand?
Piya: Mama..my boss...and u know who he is?
Sugandh (smiling): Piya, beta who is he?
Piya: that same guy...remember the one I was telling you about who saved my life but is very arrogant...he did not even talk to me...my boss is none other than him...
Sugandh (smiling and shaking her head): oh wow Piya..really?
Piya (angry): It is not funny mama..and you know what he did today...he told me to start working on project from tonight and prepare for presentation...I mean today was my first day..but no..sadu raichand did not care about that...mama..I am so screwed...now I need to eat dinner early and start working on it...
Sugandh: Piya, just relax and tell me first whether or not you told him your work schedule?
Piya: I did mama and he agreed with it...but then he became sadu again later and decided to torture me...I am telling you mama..this guy will drive me crazy..he is so unpredictable...I can' t tell what is going on in his mind...
Sugandh (laughing): oh come on Piya...stop wining like a baby...to me, your sadu Raichand seems like a decent guy if he agreed to your schedule...
Piya: what?...mama...you first need to decide which side are you in? Mine or his?
Sugandh: of course yours Piya...it is just that sometimes your anger just makes you blind and stops you from seeing the reality...you are just like you father (Sugandh realizes what she just said and stops herself from saying anything).
Piya (angry): Stop it mama...stop taking his name...I am nothing like him...I will be never like him...he is shame on the name of father...and as much as you hate to hear this, I love to repeat it...he is not father to me...don't ever take his name again in this house...
Sugandh: Piya..beta..he is you father...Piya listen to me..
(Piya leaves to her room angrily. Sugandh just stands there watching her leave. Sugandh says to herself " I wish you knew the reality Piya. Your father is a very nice person and a loving husband. I just wish he knew that we have daughter together...I just wish...he knew. Sugandh starts crying).
Precap: Piya walks into Abhay's cabin. Abhay is busy when he realizes something and looks up to face Piya. Piya is looking stunning in her salwar kameez...Abhay just could not stop looking at her.
