''Coming'' geet said in a low voice.

She slowly and nervously came down the staircase of the grand hall.
The grandeur of the hall was enhance with those out-of-the-world-decorations which graced the palace of the Singhania's.
As she took slow,graceful steps towards the end of the staircase with her eyes fixed to the ground,all the guests had their heads turned.
The men gaped and the women looked in admiration towards the angelic beauty who was coming down the stairs.
It was not just her beauty which attracted so much attention,it was a certain aura of serenity and purity which she was carrying around herself.
She was dressed in a white saree-her favourite colour.
Geet started getting more uncomfortable as she felt the gaze of so many people falling on her,she didn't understand why are they looking at her like that as she never thought of herself being beautiful.
Just then her brother came in front of her and gave her a bear hug.
''My dear Lord...I'm sure there are going to be many cardiac arrests tonight...you look amazing sis'' Arjun said lovingly and then patted her cheeks.
''Bhaaisaa'' geet gave her brother one of those you-are-impossible-sometimes look.
''Oh come on sweetie...I'm just telling the truth-whats wrong in that'' he said casually.
''I...I chose the saree'' Arohi spoke in between after coming down the stairs in a rush.
''Really...nice choice'' Arjun replied casually eyeing geet's saree.
''Thanks'' Arohi replied in a dreamy look.
''Geet beta'' Geet's father Mr Vanraj Singhania called out his daughter,making the three of them go into a more serious mode.
He then put his arm around her shoulder and proceeded towards his guests.
Arohi twisted her lips,Arjun sighed and followed.

''Meet Mr Shekhawat,he is the head of RCA'' Mr Singhania said as he introduced an elderly man to his daughter to which she bend down to take his blessings but was stopped by the man himself.
''Arre arre beta...it's all right...my blessings are always with you'' he said with a polite smile.
''This is Mr Vansh Singh Shekhawat,MLA of Rajasthan and the elder son of Mr Shekhawat'' her dad proceeded towards a young man who looked anything but a gentleman.
He folded her and gave her a polite smile.''This is his wife gauri'' Mr Singhania pointed towards a young,vicious-looking lady, probably in her mid-twenties.
''And he...'' geet looked up to look at the person to whom her dad was going to introduce.
''Flight Lieutenant Veer Singh Shekhawat'' he now introduced the tall,fair and good-looking man.
Geet looked down immediately trying hard to hide the blush that she thought crept up her cheeks.
''Hi geet'' he gave a cute smile and extended his hand to which geet did a polite namaste, folding her hands.
Veer understood her shyness and folded his hands as well.
''Well Vanraj...It's a birthday party for the youngsters...so I think we should leave the kids alone...we oldies don't have to spoil their fun'' Mr Shekhawat said and gave his pal a knowing smile.
''You are right lets go somewhere else'' he replied.
Arjun watched all this with crossed arms while Arohi grew irritated.
He have never seen his dad being so sweet to Geet till now...throwing such a lavish birthday party-introducing her with pride,going gaga about her qualities,leaving her alone with a stranger...and that too a man! He knew something was cooking in his dad's mind.
Arohi understood all too well-the nautanki the Singhanias were doing as well as the questions arising in Arjun's mind.
''Babaji please protect my friend'' she prayed inwardly.

Miles away from the place,a man in his mid-twenties sat in front of a fireplace with a guitar in his hands,playing his favourite tune with his eyes closed.
''Sorry to disturb you sir but Munshiji has come and he wants to meet you urgently.''
He stopped playing the guitar at once.
The man gulped.
''Send him in'' he ordered coldly.

Veer and geet walked the cobbled path which reached the garden.
''Geet'' he decided to break the silence to which she looked up.
''I didn't know you already have a lover'' he casually said shrugging his shoulders.
Geet's eyes widened in shock ''l l lover'' she managed to mutter.
''Yeah...I mean otherwise why would you ignore such a handsome male who's dying to hear you voice or get a glimpse from such a beautiful girl...I seriously wonder what this ground has which Flight Lieutenant Veer Singh Shekhawat lacks?'' He looked at the ground as if trying to figure out something.
Geet didn't get what he was saying so she asked looking at him ''ground?''
''Yeah this ground'' he said pointing downwards ''I'm sure you find these grass,stones,dust etc more attractive than me...which is why you have your gaze fixed there-lucky ground'' he said shaking his head.
Geet now burst into peels of laughter as she realized his joke.Veer looked at her mesmerized.
''Thank God at least you find me funny'' saying this they both started laughing.

''Sir this is is the best land we can get in Bikaner but...''
The man looked up to the person seated in front of him with a raised eyebrow.
''The problem is the land belongs to the Shekhawats-they are the most powerful political family of Rajasthan.''
''Sir we have tried every means but they are not ready to budge,right now they are staying at Bikaner itself for some reasons...I...I think you should...'' he was cut mid sentence.
''I'm leaving for Bikaner tomorrow.''
Precap-''Angel'' he whispered unconsciously.
