CHAPTER 3

Practise makes perfect

"Payal,guess what? Parm,remember whom i told u about?Well,she's getting married next month.Can u believe it,i thought she didnt even have a boyfriend!!!"Khushi said excitedly

"Everybody is not a loser like u, khushi.So whats the plan?i mean she's ur colleague,how do i go to the wedding.I mean i am sure Akash will be there.I agree he doesn't works all the time like Arnav does,but come on-he's still a boss.and i dont want him eyeing other girls when i can be there",Said payal

"And you call me a loser...Anyways thats okay.The moment she gave me the wedding card i told her that i dont go any where without my loser sister.She was kinda cool with that.Just one thing-She wants us to dance.She doesnt has many cousins and on her sangeet she wants some halla-gullah!she asked me so sweetly i coudnt say no,plus i wanted to..."

"Oh cool.Its been a long time since i have moved my body.We need to get back in shape,man"

"dont worry about that.Practise starts tommorrow at her place.Many of her other friends will also be there na."

"Cool"

They come on a side.

"parm,my dance partner is a loser.He doesnt even knows the basic bhangra step.I so cant dance with him"

"Khushi,not the right time...Not the right time"

Bell rings.

"Khushi,please check who is on the door.I have a lot in my head right now,Goo"

Khushi opens the door

Did i come to the wrong address because i clearly remember i came to congratulate Parm.But then my eyes fell on her outfit.Pj's folded till her knees and a shirt which was extra large for her body.

"What are you doing here"?,i asked curiously.

"nothing much,practising how to dance,oh come in Parm is inside.She was a lill busy but i am sure she'll manage time for u.After all u r going to grant her her leave for the wedding" She said light heartedly

I went to Parm,congratulated her.I was not one of those boss who were always harsh and mean i was a boss of tody's generation.I mixed up with my workers.When i came out of the drawing room i saw Khushi teaching a guy how to do some basic bhangra steps.I went up to them

"Seriously man,you dont know bhangra",i asked

"No,i dont.I dont even wana dance.Its stupid parm who makeee...

"Wait a minute,Sir-i mean Arnav do u know how to dance?like omg why dont u dance instead of him?" said Khushi

"Excuse me?"

"Wait hold on,Let me turn the music up.Go go,Show some of the steps.

I did as i was told.

"yes,yes-Thankyou god.Arnav,please dance with me?please",said Khushi

"No,no ..."

"Omg,ur shy as if i am asking for a couple dance its just a wedding dance thingy.Every girl has a perfect guy,i dont.I know that u r not perfect but atleast u r better then him" She said pointing a finger at that man

"You insult me and accept me to help"

"helping is in ur nature.Thats why u turned my intership into a job and guessed i wont figure it out"

I scratched my head.Man,she was a smart girl.

"okay fine"

"I hope u remember that I am ur boss,I want respect"

"I hope u remember u said I am a boss only inside office"

"I hate myself"

"I know..Lets go"

After 2 hours of practise

"We did it,Yayeee",She said

"If we hadnt done this by now,I would have died of shame that I am such a bad learner"

"Lol,okay God am hungry where is everybody else?"

"they are in Parm's room,Eating I guess"

"then what are we waiting for,lets roll"

I thought this is the right moment

"oh I forgot,Akash texted me!they are all out.They went to eat gol gappas"

"they didn't tell us!Why would they do that to me"

"easy with that,lets go-we'll join em"

"I don't think that's a good idea,I think I'll head home now.Waise bhi,I am tired"

"Are you trying to avoid going out with me because u just said u hungry"

"are u trying to fool me to a date,because I know all r in Parm's room"

I started scratching my head,again.I always did that when i was nervous.

"oh okay,I think both of us agree that we are a lill attracted to each other?"

"what?where did that come from?"

"Its not so hard to see whats written on ur face'So anyways'Its gonna be akward as now u r my assistant aswell so I think we should let the idea drop.I mean lets just forget this conversation even happened", I siad hoping that she would object

"Yeahh Totally..i mean u bought this topic up,Which by the way is very stupid...Uhhh" she said convincingly,hoping i don't read her face "so I am gonna go now"

What the hell were u thinking Khushi,U should have told him what u feel",said Payal angrily

"no,because I don't feel anything".Khushi said

"Yeah,maybe that's the reason u r already blushing"

"Just shut up.Let me handle this okay,Goodnight

Khushi lay on her bed thinking how was she going to face Arnav tommorrow.
