Geet has been a silent observer of all this.

Geet, I always celebrate my Birthday this way...first I visit a temple and then visit an orphanage. I regularly visit the "Ghandhi Nivas" orphanage in Delhi. But this year, I am in Hoshiyarpur and hence I decided to visit this orphanage in Amritsar. I make sure that I save some money every month exclusively for this purpose and I accumulate this money which I save thro out the year and contribute to the orphanage. My birthday is the ideal day for it isint it?

She had never been to any orphanage till this moment in her life...She looks around the place and then looks back at Dev.

I know what's your next question... why did I decide to celebrate my birthday with these children?

She nods slowly for a "yes".

Geet, you and I are so lucky to have our parents and other relatives around us...but these children are deprived of all relationships.

She looks at Dev with surprise and then at those innocent childen many of whom are facing a punishment for the deeds of their unknown parents. Her heart goes to these kids who have been deprived of every happiness of this world.

Dev rests his hand on her shoulder...Geet...

She turns to look back at him with teary eyes

GEET... he wipes the tears rolling down her cheeks and worried...I am sorry...I should have not got you here.

She instantly hugs him...Dev is all surprised with her act...Dev...She still has tears rolling down...These tears are for me being part of this selfish world and never even dared to look at the plight of these kids...simply because I was unaware of it...Thank you for making me realise this.

Both break out of the hug Dev...I am very lucky to have you in my life. Dev takes her hand into his...I promise to be a part of every aspect of your life just like the way you want it to be. Dev takes her into a hug again and kisses her forehead.

Mr. Dev, please distribute the sweets to the kids...they are waiting to have it...

During my younger days, I used to pass by this orphanage...at that time, I didnt even know what an orphanage means...When I asked my parents, they explained me that its a home for children who do not have any relatives in this world...not even their parents...I really felt hurt for these innocent kids...

I really liked this part because again it shows a connection of maaneet with something common, the orphanage.
