CHAPTER 5

Maan came back home and was wondering why he felt bad that geet was not around.He searched geet everywhere around .He went back to his room and tried her phone again but no use.He got angry and threw the phone away thats when he noticed a paper he would have not read it if he didn't notice his name written in block letters.He easily guessed it was geet's handwriting. he opened the letter.

DEAR MAAN

I don't know when you ll read this letter but i ll not be around then for sure.I know we didn't plan to be together but circumstances made so. we have decided early that we would move on with our lives later .so i am moving on now.I am sorry i didn't discuss or inform you before.But my life needs my special attention at this time.hope to see you in future.

...GEET...

Maan was blank .He was the one who suggested the plan of drifting apart but now he regretted and didn't know why.He wondered if it all was because of their passionate night. For some reason maan felt angry on both on geet and himself .Daadi Came to his room.

DAADI : you have not cleaned your room yet? where is geet?

MAAN :wow...she has gone to meet her friends. will be back in a weekl.

He didn't want daadi to know anything,When he himself was not aware of what is going around him how will he explain others.

It took him few hours to catch up with himself.Her absence made him weak.

MAAN : Why do i even care? its her decision her life She can do anything.How will anything of this could influence my life . MSK doesn't lose himself to anyone.I can live without you geet.

Maan started his new day with new goal to prove himself that doesn't care her absence.He indulged himself in work to forget her.

AFTER A WEEK

Maan was exhausted and tired pretending to himself that he doesn't care about her.He was not sure why he was so much affected. Since their office fight maan didn't talk with sam but he was least bothered.He merely lost himself. He felt someone's hand on his shoulder he was too tired to turn.

DAADI : if you love her so much then why did you let her go away from you?

Maan was suddenly shocked and stood up.

MAAN : wow ... daadi...

DAADI : i know that you both were not happily married geet told me everything the very next day of your wedding.

MAAN : you know she was to leave?

DAADI : i didn't know. For past few weeks her behavior was different. She was very happy and blushing in the kitchen and all. So i thought everything between you two was ok.

Maan knew the reason for that change in her obviously she couldn't disclose to daadi what they did.

DAADI : did you have a fight?

Maan noded for a no

DAADI : i just want you to be happy and sort out everything before its too late.

MAAN : sure daadi.(he said wit true hope)

Daadi kissed his forehead and left.

Daadi's words threw maan in more confusion if geet didn't regret that night if she has some feelings like love for him then why would she leave him.Maan read the letter again. maan was clear that there was much more than written in the letter.Now he was clear what he wanted. After a week he felt few glimses of light in his life.

MAAN : Mrs. Maan singh khuranna you owe an explanation to your hubby.
