Nupur and Gunjan were getting ready for the event, when Suhani , Diya and Priya joined them.

Gunjan: " tum log!! Mujhe laga tum log nahe aogay!"

Suhani: " aisa ho sakta hai bhala?"
they hugged each other, but were informed that the show is starting in 5 minutes so they all got busy giving final touching to their appearance.

Yar tu kis kam ka dost hai?"

Mayank was pacing the room and glaring at Sam who was reading something. Before Sam could answer Mayank said, " is time per bhe tu books parh raha hai? Doob mar sharam se!"

Sam: " aik to mere samajh se bahir hai tumen kyun challenge dia un larkion ko!"

Mayank: " ab de dia to de dia! Aur meine tujhe kaha hai na! Jeeten gay bhe hum he! Dekh lena!"
Sam: " chal phir chalen! Tu bhe kya yaad rahe ga!"
Mayank: ( grinning) ye hue na mere dost wali baat! Aj pehli bar mujhe tujhper pyar aa raha hai!"
Sam: " ewww… door rahe mujhse! Tera to dimag kharab hai!"
Mayank confused about Sam's coment until he saw the grin on Sam's face , " tu ruk Sam ke bachay!"
and they exited the room Mayank running after Sam, holding his book.

Sam: " array mere book nahe!"

Mayank: " tu ruk to sahe mere bhai!"

Nupur was waiting along with her friends and other girls to be announced on satge, when they heard Maaynka dn Sam yelling at each other and Sam running towards them .

Gunjan: " lo inhen ke kami the!"
finally Sam and Maynk joined them laughing .

Nupur: " Sam I hope you both are not planning to defeat us alone?"

Mayank: " had hai! How can we both be alone?"

Nupur looked up and their eyes met for a nano second . before Nupr or anyone could answer Maaynk, their names were announce and so they moved on stage.

Mayank who was walking right beside Nupur whispered, " best of luck Nupur! u will be needing it!"
and winking at her, he turned and went out of sight.

as soon as all the girls entered on stage , the curtains were pulled and they found all the men already there, except…

Gunjan: " ye Sam kahan gaya? Aurr…"
Nupur: " Maaynk bhe missing hai!"

As if just waiting for them to notice their absence, they heard Maaynk's voice, " larki kyun na jane kyun..karkon se nahe hote…" from the opposite side of stage followed by music.

Sam entered playing guitar while Mayank entered too.

Mayank just stood their looking at Nupur, laughing and dancing…he had not for a second beleievd the always silent, and reserve Nupur to sing like this! Above all , he had not thought that a-lively-Nupur would look so breathtakingly beautiful and adorable and he just stood their staring at her, not realizing it was their turn to speak.

Sam was shocked too. He had not expected Nupur to sing, but Gunjan she was all dressed up in traditional dresses and looked beautiful enough distracted him…

Then something else caught his eyes, Maynk staring at Nupur!
Sam couldn't help but grin. This was the second time he had caught Mayank, staring at Nupur and this time Sam knew he will have to find out what this was all about. For the flirty Maaynk, it was natural to be frank with girls and to even flirt with them, but staring? This was new…

Sam was already planning for ideas to tease Mayank when he realized it was their turn and Mayank was too lost to remember that… Sighing Sam moved forward …….

this time it was Gunajn who came to forefront with a reply and it was Sam turn to get shock.. however Mayank was out of the trance by then and so continued:..

by the end of song all boys, on stage and in the audience were singing , " larki kyun najane kyun larkon se nahe hote.."

While girls were sticking too, " is leye larkian larkon se nahe hote!"

"hahaha! Kitna maza aaya na?"

Gunjan and all her friends were standing outside after the program, waiting for their cars to arrive.

Nupur; " bohat maza aya! Aur uske shakal dekhne wali the jb judge said it was a tie!"
"ahem ahem! Sam mere dost , mujeh aisa kyun lagta hai, koi hmen bohat shiddat se yaad kar raha hai!"
Sam who was sneezing as he had caught cold after drinking over chilled drinks refrain from replying.

"tumen kya hua?"
Gunjan aasked as soon as she saw Sam and she was unable to keep the hint of concern out of her voice, something everyone was quick to notice and Sam glad to hear.

Mayank: " kuch nahe! Bhai sahab ne cold drinks pee le!"
Gunjan: (irritated) " but Sam tmen to pata hai na tmen chilled cold drinks suit naeh karte? Phr kyun pee tumne?"

Sam: " I am fine Gunjan!"
at that moment Suhani's , Diya's and Priya's car arrived so they all left.

Soon after that Gunjan's mother arrived to pick her and so she had to leave too and Nupr was left alone with Mayank and Sam.

Sam: " I guess I should leave too! See u later guys!"
and he left too but only after he had winked at Mayank, which Nupur noticed too.

a silence followed after Sam's departure ad so Mayank decide to break it.

Mayank: " I must say you were pretty good today!"
Nupur: " thanks."
Mayank sighed and thought, " a curt thanks!"

Mayank ( trying again to start a conversation) " errrmm…I didn't expect you to dance so well too…"

Nupur: (turning toward him) " thanks again!just a suggestion, its high time u realize there exist in this world , girls who are not effected by you coolness, and unlike those flirty girls you are so used too and who believe in nodding at every syllable you utter, there are girls who can accept your challenge and prove you wrong in ur assumptions!"
she looked damn irritated and Mayank felt his temper rise: " what is your problem Nupur?"

Nupur: " right now if you ask me, its you!"

Nupur and Mayank stood staring at each other, until Nupur's mobile rang and disconnecting the phone she left a furious Mayank without a backward glance.
