Hi Everyone,
I'm a huge Maaneet fan and love reading FFs based on them during my study breaks. There is some amazing talent on IF. I've truly been inspired! I'll be done my exams tomorrow and thought I'd give FF writing a shot. I hope to start a FF based on Maaneet within 1-2 weeks. Here's a scene that's been in my head for a while. Please do comment! I'll read the replies and decide on whether to commit to a FF.

A bus was driving along a secluded street on a warm summer night. I was sitting at the back, watching raindrops beginning to make their way down the windows. Suddenly the bus stopped and the driver announced that we reached the end of the line.
As I stepped off the bus and it drove into the night. I was unfamiliar with my surroundings and began to panic. But my anxiety vanished upon meeting his gaze. He smiled like he was expecting me. "Where you headed at this time of night?" he asked. "Home," I replied. "Me too," was his response as we began walking in the rain.
Little was said between us. It had been years since we met. There was so much I wanted to know but was afraid to ask. He seemed comfortable with the silence. It irked me. I wanted to know if he thought about me. About us? Did he miss me? Even back then it was hard to know what he was thinking, what he was feeling. His face never gave anything away. But I could read his eyes. He avoided mine today.
We continued walking until the silence was broken by voices calling out behind us. Their tone gave away their intentions. I could tell from his look that he was going to respond. I quickly pulled him into an alley and pleaded with my eyes for him to stay quiet. The voices drew closer as they began to search for us. We backed further into the alley. I began to shake expecting the worst. Suddenly I felt his arms come around me. Closing my eyes, I rested my head on his chest and soaked in his warmth. The voices faded but we didn't break apart. I don't know how long we stayed like that. Time seemed to have stopped. Feeling his lips brush against my forehead, brought me back to my senses. I broke away. As we walked back onto the street, I felt his warm hand slip into mine. I blushed and looked away. We continued walking into the night, the silence no longer bothering me.
