thank god maan came at the right time...n even geet told him that sam did it...

geet is fine...relief...

so finally maan admitted that he loves her...good for him...

cant wait for the next part...update soon...

loved the last 4 updates...

a roller coaster ride i must say...

her sicknes...

then some hope...

then sameera trying to kill her...

but y didnt maan do something well thats better hope geet's statement is the same and she is not trying to save sameera...

but i dont know i am feeling differently...

A Maaneet Tale

Hey guys! I hope you like the new siggie I made! Again, I am bloody crap at making siggies. This was my second try and I am actually very proud of myself 😆

Anyway, here is Chapter 16 without any further delay...

Chapter 16

I wanted to open my eyes, but my surroundings were pitch black and my eyelids felt like a hammer.

I wanted to move, to run, to escape, to feel something. But my whole body was as heavy as a truck.

I wanted to breath and get up, but my head felt like a 10 ton weight.

And then my surroundings changed.

I was suddenly in a dark room. There was a faint light coming from somewhere and I wanted to move towards it, but my hands and legs were tied. I tried to speak but my mouth was covered with a cloth.

And then I heard footsteps. I didn't know who's footsteps it was but the man finally came in view.

I gasped and my eyelids finally flicked open. I could feel sweat trickle down the nape of my neck and I was tangled in the bed sheets.

I sat up and ran my hand over my hair. Strands of hair stuck to the sides of my face as I enhaled deep breaths. I hid my strands of hair at the back of my ear and looked around myself.

I was in a hospital bed. The room was lightly dimmed and I could hear the heartbeat monitor react to my heartbeats.

I was confused for a second and I wondered what I was doing in a hospital. But then the scary memories wafted back into my mind as I remembered how she stabbed me. Now that I remembered that I was injured, the pain spread through my back. I could feel the prickly painful sensation at the centre of my back. I felt it lightly but it pained even more.

I sighed and laid back down onto my bed. Since nobody was in my room, I was guessing the time was somewhere in the morning.

My back was painful in whichever position I was in. I tried my left side, it pained. I tried my right side, it pained. I definitely did not want to try lying on my back so I tried lying down on my stomach.

Much better.

As I closed my eyes to sleep I heard faint noises. A familiar voice, and a voice I didn't know whom it belonged to. I strained to listen.

"-- was very clever. She didn't leave any fingerprints on the knife. You have no evidence" a voice said

"Fine, YOU WANT EVIDENCE?!" somebody yelled and I knew it was Maan. Only he could shout so loudly.

"You'll get it. I have camera's situated in every nook and cranny of the Khurana Mansion" he said and after that, no other voices sounded.

Silence engulfed the atmosphere as I waited for more voices, but nothing happened. I sighed and closed my eyes, ready to go back to sleep and forget my sorrows again when the door creaked open.

I turned my head and saw Maan. I smiled at him sadly and hid my face in the pillow.

"Hey" I muffled in the pillow and turned to look at him. He was sitting down beside me.

Maan looked at me sadly and I watched as the tear that balanced on the corner of his eye, and then finally trickled down his cheek. I wanted to brush it away but every move I made caused me unbearable pain.

Maan: "I'm sorry" he whispered and I could feel his hands under my hospital gown move up my back slowly. I shivered at his warm touch on my sore back. His touch made me feel better.

I winced in pain when his hands reached the wound.

He immediately moved his hands upwards and started to massage my shoulders. I sighed in relief and closed my eyes.

"Don't be sorry. It's not your fault at all" I muffled in the pillow as he traced patterns on my back, making me tickle and laugh, but also making me forget my pain.

Maan: "It is my fault. I should have never left you alone. I should have provided you better security. I should have done something. But the truth is, I didn't do anything. I just left you alone" he said softly and his hands moved to my waist. He started to squeeze it and trace more patterns. It felt amazing.

"It's not like you knew it was going to happen" I said, feeling happy and private as I realized it was only Maan and me in the room and nobody else. I didn't want anybody to come into my room. I wanted it to just be me and Maan forever.

Maan: "But still, I wish I was with you" he said and started to play with my hair. He moved my hair to one side and bent down to kiss me on the cheek. He kept his face there, and I nestled my face into his cheek.

I suddenly had an idea as I realized that the bed I was in was double. I moved to one side and patted the empty space of the bed.

"I won't be able to sleep if your not near me" I said

Maan: "But I'm right here. With you" he said

"No I mean... Really close to me. I want to feel you near me" I said and patted on the empty space of bed impatiently.

Maan chuckled slightly and took his shoes off. He slid into the bed beside me and made me comfortable. He put his arm under my back so my wound wasn't touching the bed at all. I rested my head on his chest. Maan had the top three buttons open so I started tracing the lines on his upper chest. I could feel his intoxicating fragrance close around me like a bubble as I felt my eyelids become heavy and droopy.

Before I went to sleep, I could feel his warm lips on mine. I kissed him back desperately as if I had not kissed him in years.

He broke the kiss and then started to trail more patterns, but on my scalp this time. I clutched his t-shirt to my nose and smelled his fragrance to sleep.

I knew Geet was asleep as soon as I heard her whistle snoring and heavy, slow breathing. I put my free hand behind my head and started to think about what had happened these past days. It all had happened so quickly, I sometimes thought it was a dream.

But it had been confirmed that all this was real, now that I am holding her warm body in my arms. I wish life had an undo button so I could undo all this mess and replace it with sweeter, warmer, happier things.

I sighed and brang Geet's face closer to mine.

"I love you Geet. So much, I can't describe it in words" I whispered in her ear.

I was surprised when she replied.

"Hmm... I... I love you too... Hmmm" she said groggily in her sleep and clutched my t-shirt tighter. She practically hid her face in my chest. I smiled at her childishness.

My smile faltered when I heard loud, but faint voices.

"-- CANNOT ARREST ME!" a familar voice yelled and I instantly knew it was Sameera.

"I'm sorry but Mr Maan Singh Khurana has given me evidence that you murdered Mrs Geet Maan Singh Khurana. You are under arrest under these charges" somebody said and I figured it must be the police inspector.

After some more voices, the door of the room creaked open and in came Sameera. I hid Geet totally in my arms to protect her from the loud noises.

Sameera was all teary faced. Her mascara and eyeliner was dribbling down her cheeks and her foundation was all blotchy and wet.

She looked ugly. Always did, and always will.

Sameera: "You cannot let them arr --" she began loudly but I cut her off.

"Shut. Your. Filthy. Mouth. Don't disturb us" I said as calmy, and as quietly as I could. I repeated some of the words I had said in her flat.

Sameera looked at Geet and thought better of it.

Sameera: "You cannot let them arrest me like this! I did nothing!" she whispered loud enough for me to hear.

"Why? Your ugly face won't get any uglier by going in jail. Don't worry" I said sarcastically and chuckled slightly at my own joke. I never knew I was that funny.

Sameera: "My whole career will be ruined! Let me go, I'll do anything, but please don't send me to jail! Please" she said quietly and knelt down to my feet. But I pushed her away with my foot.

"Should have thought of all this before you did all those disgusting deeds" I said

Sameera: "UGH!" she exclaimed loudly and I gave her a dangerous look. After she left, I felt Geet stirring under my arms.

"Shhh, it's okay. I'm here" I cooed soothingly and rocked her back and forth.

Geet sighed and snuggled into me more. I heard the door creak open again and I looked up, only to find Daadima. She froze at the door and turned around to leave but I motioned for her to stay. She smiled and sat down on the chair next to me.

Daadima: "Is Geet Beta okay?" she asked and looked at Geet and then back at me.

I nodded and she relaxed on her chair.

"Daadima, please go home. You haven't ate, or slept properly since this happened. Please?" I pleaded, suddenly concerned for her health.

Daadima: "Maan Beta, I cannot --"

"Please, for my sake?" I pleaded and she hesitated, but finally stood up. She cupped my cheek and smiled, and then patted Geet on the head lightly.

Daadima: "Good night. Please, get some sleep" she said and I nodded. She left the room and I looked at the time on the watch.

4:00am.

I sighed. It had been such a long day today. I was about to fall asleep when I started to worry about Khurana Constructions. But then I remembered that Adi was there to take care of everything.

I rested my head on Geet's head. The smell of her shampoo comforted me and I instantly felt my eyelids droop.

I slowly drifted to sleep.
