CAN YOU ALL SUGGEST ME A TITLE for this story?
Part 8
Geet looked at her maglesutru for a while, trying to understand what does it mean to her. She looked at her stomach and than up at her self on the mirror again. Remembering what maan told her last night. That lady he loves. She didn't want to give that thought any more time than she already have. The fact didn't bother her, but the fact definitely gave her little shock. She did not want to know anything about his life, other than what they share. It was no point. Nor there is any reason to look forward to her uninviting future.
She have already decided that its best for there children to stay way from him. He could never give the love that the child needs, than why ruin the kids childhood with a strong hatred towards there dad.
Geet managed to get ready and leave for office after dropping mahek to school.
The office was quit. Everyone was walking in to be on time. Adi flowed geet, telling her what her schedule for the day.
'You have one meeting, last meeting with sammera and few other investor, regarding the new land that maan sir want to buy, under name of mahek!' Adi confusingly read from the list. Wondering who was mahek.
Geet stopped instantly. 'Mahek!'
'Yes...that's what's the company name is!, I am reading the name correct.'
'But why I have to go to the meeting?'
'I don't know!'
'But that's in the other office. Right!'
'Yes, but maan sir emailed me this yesterday!'
Geet nodes and leaves for her office.
...
The evening came quick. Black limo was waiting for her to take her to the venue.
It was a grand private evening. The hall looked busy and her eye confusingly looked at everyone, at why exactly she was there. Armaan came out of no where, and almost frighten geet to death.
'What are you doing here?' Armaan confusingly question by looking at many almost full dining table.
'I have a meeting about something!' Geet confusingly spoke and laughed.
'You have meeting and you don't know about what!' Armaan pointed his eye brow up.
'To be honest no! It was in my diary. And here I am, but I see no one.'
'Come and dine with me!' Armaan invited geet. 'My so called date did not turn up. So you can be my date.' He pulled a face.
Geet giggled. 'Well. I am hungry and so is my baby.' She looked down at her flat stomach.
'How could you geet!' He shockingly spoke. 'If that was my child I would be staffing you like santa!'
Geet giggled. And looked at armaan.
'You look so beautiful when you laugh. You should laugh more often. Come with me now!' He spoke in one breath.
Armaan pulled a chair out for geet to sit, but she couldn't, as maan came up and looked at armaan annoyingly.
'If you don't mind! I came to collect my wife.' He quietly spoke.
'No... No not at all.'
Geet uncomfortably looked at maan, than at armaan. 'Sorry.'
'Its ok.' armaan smiled
They slowly walked off. 'You invited him here as well?' Maan frustratingly spoke.
'You invited me here. I haven't invited anyone.' Geet cleared the air, which maan was not convinced at all.
Geet least cared. They stopped in front of a big table, with plenty of multi cultured people. Few from Europe with there translator. Few other from Africa, some America and they are from India with another face that she met at that party. The lady maan love. She was aged, yet beautiful. She looked like her early 30 maybe but probably late 30 like maan, but than again, rich people don't age. Take maan for example.
'This is sammera.' Maan coldly spoke, than introduced others as the investor.' Sammera being one of them.
'Its really nice to met you geet.' She comfortably smiled and than looked at maan. 'She is beautiful.'
Geet gave out an uncomfortable smile and avoid looking at maan back. She took her sit next to maan while sammera on the other side.
'Well,' maan started the meeting. 'Thank you for your time and investment. As you may be aware, this project was impossible for me to do, specially targeting the marketing department in different country. The logo of the company is very important to me, as its under my daughter name. Mahek.'
Geet and sammera both looked up with little shock. Sammera uncomfortably looked at maan and than at geet.
Geet looked at maan, who was least bothered perhaps, however he gave a look to sammera which geet couldn't understand.
'I have invested a lot of money on designing this logo, therefore I am expecting a lot of outcome. Specially from India. Now gentleman it's your turn to impress me that your money and time is worth for this new company.'
Maan went on about discussing about the land and where he would like to build the head house in India. The land was expensive, which was the little concern for the other investor, but maan took there headache way by buying the whole land, and at the same time, keeping more than 50% of the share. Which was reasonable negotiation.
As the meeting came to an end, some of the investor came and congratulated maan.
'I am very impressed.' One of the elderly man smiled. 'How old is mahek now sammera?' The man looked at maan and than sammera.
Geet shockingly looked up, unable to understand why would that man ask sammera, but than again, this two looks similar age, not maan and geet.
'Mahek is my and my wife geet child.' Maan looked at geet with an uncomfortable smile.
Geet showed a cool face, like it was alright. She did not mind at all, while sammera wasn't amused with the idea.
'Oh I am so sorry!' The man instantly apologies. 'I always see you with sammera in party. So...' The elderly man looked at geet. 'So I thought its ... Hello mrs khurana.'
Geet smiled.
'How old is your little angel.'
'She is 5.' Geet replied while looking at sammera, who was almost in tears.
'Excuse me!' Sammera snapped and hurriedly ran off. Maan flowed her trail as she disappeared along the corridors.
'It's nice seeing you mr and mrs khurana!'
The elderly man left. Geet faced maan. 'Maan I should leave. I am not sure why you have called me here.'
Maan annoyingly rubbed his forehead. 'I will drop you home!'
'No stay!' Geet hurriedly replied. 'Sammera did not look very happy. You need to comfort her.'
'We don't ...'
'You owe me no explanation.' Geet stopped maan. 'I am your wife with name and for kids. I am happy with that. So don't. I don't like people crossing any line!' Geet uncomfortably informed and left.
...
Maan watched geets disappearing body as she left. He flowed where sam went, finding her in a private room.
'Sam...' Maan almost whispered.
Yes, his heart aced seeing her crying. 'Sam..'
'No maan. Please leave me alone.' She snapped.
'Sam... I...'
'Don't maan. Out there it should have been our child. It should be me. It should be us. Not her...!' She screamed with pain. 'Its probably fine for you to say its my daughter! But it's heart here maan.' She shockingly points at her broken heart. 'It really hearts. 'First for you leaving me and now with realization I don't have kids. We don't have kids. We are not to gather. I loved you since I don't even know from when. Since a child learns to know meaning of the word love. Since... I don't know maan!'
They stood there silently, staring at one another. 1 turn in to 2.. 2 turned in to 10 minutes. Silently observing...What happen to there life?
'Leave me alone maan. Please go.'
Maan slowly walked out. Unable to understand how to Handel the situation. If you give him a most worlds complicated puzzle, he will instantly fix it, but his life puzzle. It's scattered everywhere. It's no where at the moment.
...
Maan slowly made his way home. A empty house again. There was no one. Was he to blame for this? He can not keep his wife and children happy and on the other side, he can't keep Sam happy.
He sat on the rocking chair, forgetting when his eyes have given up.
...
Geet walked in to the house, unable to think through what just have happened in the evening dinner. She looked at mahek. Who is her life. She won't be sharing her with anyone, and definitely, her calling some other women mother!
Geet went up and sat next to mahek. 'Beta...'
'Yes mama...!'
'You love me?'
'Of course. What type of silly question is that?'
'More than dad?'
'I don't like dad!'
'What if someone else loves you more than me?'
'No one can. I only love you?'
'than promise, you will always love me.'
'I promise.'
Geet hugged mahek and than took her to the bedroom. She have to talk to maan about this. She was willing to give her husband way but not her child. Not for someone she barely know.
...
Next morning geet walked in to maan's house. All the servant were rushing around the kitchen and a familiar figure appeared. It was Sam.
Geet was not surprised but surly Sam was.
'Hi!' Geet mumbled.
Sam quickly wiped her hand with little shocking expression.
'Hi! I...' Sam closed her eyes with little annoyance that how she have to give explanation to someone els when this house is her. It always have been. From making Maan's breakfast to looking after Maan's every need.
Geet forcefully smiled and looked at all the kitchen staff at the back. Who was little taken back to see there malkin.
'Hame nahi pata tha ke tum bhi aoge. Other wise I would have made breakfast for three of us.!' Sam uncomfortably informed.
'I only came to see maan. It's alright. I will be few minute.' Geet smiled and was about to leave towards her and Maan's bedroom when Sam stopped her.
'He is really tired!... He is still sleeping.' Sam worriedly informed.
Geet looked down with a smile. Looking at the clock. 10 am.
'I will come back later. Enjoy your breakfast.'
Geet walked out of her own house. How strange was that. First the husband was not her and now the house. But she needs to talk to him, maybe later in the evening.
...
Maan woke up only to realize he was still on his rocking chair. He rubbed his eyes with a headache and walked in to the washroom.
One of the servant brought tea.
'Thanks!'
'Sammera mam is downstair waiting for you at the breakfast table sir!'
'Sam? What she is doing here?'
'I don't know sir!'
'Madam came in early morning as well.'
'Geet?' Maan asked surprisingly.
'Yea...'
'Where is she?'
'She left. She was about to come in but sammera mam stopped her saying you we're tired! So she left.' The servant informed.
Maan brushed his thick hair back annoyingly. Like his life wasn't muddled up enough, now Sam stopping his own wife to see him.
He rushed out of the bedroom, almost running down the stair and than stopped at the breakfast table which was Covered with his favorite food.
'You are wake.' Sam smiled.
'Was geet here?' Maan annoyingly spoke. 'I have told you not to come here Sam.' Maan angrily looked at the breakfast table. 'What is this?' He almost screamed.'
'She was, but I only said you are tired. Which was true.'
Maan closed his eyes with frustration than looked back at Sam.
'Why are you here?' He questioned.
'I know you are tensed. Tired and that means you will not have breakfast, so... I made you some.' She smiled.
'I am fine Sam.'
Maan was about to leave when Sam stopped him.
'At least have some breakfast with me.' She pleads.
'I am not in mood!' He murmured.
'And you never will. That's why I have to force you.' She came round and held his arm to make him sit down on the table.
All Maan's servant started to give him weird look. Specially when Sam personally told geet to get out and what type of man was he. He is with two females.
One of the servant shook her head negatively, murmuring 'sick rich people!'. She slowly walked off as maan and Sam started there breakfast.
