Having finished her cookie, she saw maan eating off the last cookie with a relish. Unable to stop herself, she caught hold of his hand in mid air and directed it towards her mouth and before he could lean in and eat his piece, she topples the piece into her mouth and munches it happily. She asks him "By the way, how come u came home early today? U had a meeting with the new clints today na? how did it go? "
Maan says " it went absolutely fine. Am sure that this year, company's gross profit is gonna hit the sky. its definitely a bonus gift along with the main gift which am going to get in a month or two" indicating to the baby and making geet blush happily.
He continues saying that "once the meeting with them was over and we finalized all the crucial things of our project, I left them with adi to tackle and rushed home to cover up the lost time with my wife n baby. So how was ur day? "
Geet happily starts telling him all that she did today. "Aapko tho aaj bahut saari baat batani hai'" when he stops her saying that she can say whatever she wants once she was safely, comfortably resting on the bed for which she obliges. Maan, then slowly makes her get down the table and walks her back to their room and makes her lie down comfortably on the bed. Making sure that geet was comfortable, he sits beside her when he sees the almond milk beside the bed and asks her as to why she still dint have it and asks her to complete the milk now. But, geet says that 'abhi toh poora bottle ka cookies khayi hoon.pet bhar gaya hai. Isiliye mein isse baad mein peeyonga' taking the glass from him and placing it back on the bed side table. Maan, then again takes the glass back from the table and says ' cookies tho mumma keliye tha..yeh milk tho humare ladoo keliye hai..yeh tho tumhe peena hi hoga abb. yaad nahi uss din sharmila aunty ne kya kaha tha ki almond milk hone wale bache keliye bahut achcha hai..abb piyo ' giving the glass yet again to her.
Geet muttering ,irritatingly , something about how those kittly party friends of daadi came to visit her and advised maan all on wat was healthy food for would-be mom n coming soon-baby, how maan is religiously following their food instructions, how from that day she is having her daily dose of almond milk, how daadi n annie supporting maan in this and teasingly made her quit tea for time being and making her drink almond milk twice a day. Making a face she gulps in the milk at one go (still missing her tea) leaving a chuckling maan at her side.
" Tho tum kya kehrahi thi" asked maan taking the now empty glass from her and wiping her lips with his fingers.
Collecting herself, She says that today she spend the afternoon watching movie with daadi, how daadi was singing those songs with a adhaaa and daadi telling her ki how daadu once went lattoo over those songs and used to sing them for daadi.
"pata hai, aaj jab hum movie dekh rahe tho, annie aayi. Tabhi tv pe who gaana shuru hua aur annie ne mujhe bahut keechayi ki'.. ki who gaana shayad daadi ke zamaane mein likha hoga par..who gaana hum dono ko bahut suit kartha hai..keh rahi thi ki who gaana humare liye hi likha gaya hai. Subah se jab bhi mein aapse baat karne ki koshish karthi hoon, tab annie aake who gaana gake mujhe aur bhi ched rahi hai"
Maan- " achcha..tho aaj meri misti ki bahut khichayi hui hai..akhir who kounsa gaana hai jo hum dono ke liye tha "
Geet- "wahi 'Khabhi Aar kabhi paar' wala gaana..annie kehrahi thi ki uss gaane ki har bol hume bilkul suit kartha hai..aur hum dono waise hi the.."
Maan teasingly says - "abb tho uss gane ko sunna hi padega'.jo gaana daadu ko latto banadhe'.jo gaana annie ko apni bhabhi ki khichayi karne ka mauka dedhe'usko tho sunna hi padega'..gaao na ek baar geet..uss gaane ko meri misty ki aawaz mein hi sunlethi hoon"
Geet folding her hands and pouting says - "hai rabba..aap bhi shuru hogaye..aap bhi meri khichayi karrahe ho..jao mujhe aapse baath nahi karni..baaki saari baat nahi batane wali " and turns her face in the opposite direction.
Maan, then, holding her cheeks and pinching it (boogly boogly buch types) says ' Yeh kya..yeha tho meri misti ko gussa aagaya..ab tho muhje lag raha hai ki shayad mein bhi daadu ki tarah gaana gaakar apni misti ko manana padega '
Geet then thinking of the situation and about the impact ,maan singing, would have on everyone makes her giggle and she starting laughing at the possibilities arising at that time. Very soon she is joined by maan himself and both end up laughing their heart out assuming and analyzing the effects of the scenario which becomes extremely creative as the time goes on and betting as who could sing better among the two and who is gonna sing bed time lohri's to the baby daily.

Annie walking through the door sees daadi smiling and lost in her thoughts. She then slowly tip toes behind daadi so as to look at what daadi was smiling at. She surprises daadi n brings her our of her revive when saying "kyun daadi..aaj aap pakdagaye na..chori chupe daadu ke pic ko dekh kar mann hi mann romantic gaana horaha hai kya? "
Daadi then pats her lovingly on her cheeks and says "annie beta mein daadu ke baareme nahi..aapke mumma aur papa ke baaremein soch rahi thi..ajj bhi jab mein uss din , jab aapke papa aapke mumma ko pehli baar dekhne gaye the unke ghar, ko yaad karthi hoon..tho hassi kudh pe kudh aajatha hai.."
Annie- " kyun aisa kya hua tha uss din ?"
Daadi then explains the day when all went to see her mom for the first time with a marriage proposal, how her dad went fida over her in the first sight itself.
" We got to know about the girl from a family friend of ur daadu and were thinking of meeting up with the girl's family to ask for their daughter's hand in marriage for their elder son (Maan, Vicky, Annie's dad). We heard that she was more beautiful than what was said about her in the village and that her heart was more beautiful than her. We felt that she was the apt choice for ur dad. Now in those days, love marriages and boy meeting the girl before marriage was very less to be seen and boys used to nod their head to what ever girl his parents used to select for him. In those days, the parents and close relatives used to go to the girls home with a proposal and if the elders luved the girl then they would go ahead with the marriage. This was one thing which ur dad dint like and was not ok with it. He wanted to see the girl himself , that too before marriage, spend some time with her and talk to her and wanted to marry her only if he likes her and not for anyone else. Though daadu was reluctant to allow him in the name of family traditions, he was hell bent to come along with us to see the girl .
On the day we were to go to meet them, we all were getting ready when we heard that all the drivers of khurana house hold went ill at the same time and hence they were deprived off their driver at the last moment. As if in queue, ur dad came and offered us to drop them himself as no one was available at the moment and they would get late finding a new driver at the moment. Realising that he was behind all this, daadu smartly declines the offer and says that he would drive there himself or ask mohan (his driver's son ) to drop him and tells him that he is not going to fall for his tricks..so he couldn't come and meet the girl. But ur dad being his dad's son doesn't give up very soon and says ' alright lets have a bet. You know mohan and I are very good friends and he need to go to college for paying up the exam fees. Let me come in his place as a driver. Drivers are allowed to see the girl before marriage not the boy.so according to that logic I, as a driver could see the girl along with u all. Just don't tell anyone there that am ur son and introduce me as ur driver's son who was filling up for his dad as he fell ill at the last moment.We both wont divulge my identity to them till the end and if I succed you are going to allow me to talk to her daily till marriage and if I loose the bet, I agree to do what ever u say. Then daadu sensing his son's desperation to see the girl tries to pull his leg and says..'alrite then, we both wont divulge who u r and lets see who succceds till the end.. father or son. if by any chance u dint succeed or u divulge urself that u r my son in front of them..then you have to marry the girl I show whether u like her or not and first night will be the time when you could actually have a conversation with her and surely not before marriage..if the conditions are ok with u, u can come along with us now. Your dad who never backed out of a bet in life accepted the challenge and said that he was going to win today and show his dad what stuff his son is made of.
Your dad, dressed in a normal khaki shirt and pant, drove us all to her home excited that he was atlast going to see her personally after what all he heard about her till now.
As soon as we reached there, we were welcomed warmly and introduced themselves to us.They made us comfortably sit in their home and ur dad was standing behind us acting perfectly like a driver would do. Daadu introduced everyone to their family and introduced ur dad as mohan who came to fill up for his dad as his dad unfortunately fell ill in the last moment and couldn't be with us now. Your mom was brought among us and made to sit along with us so that we could know her better. U could guess ur dad's enthusiasm to see her at last that too when she was just in front of him sitting along with his parents.
Then, ur par dada started with a small talk to ease her a bit and asked her to tell her about her hobbies. Then he asked her to sing a song as her songs were widely luved by all the people of the village. She, then obliged, shying a bit slowly started singing a song on radha-krishna mesmerizing everyone in the vicinity. Your dad was so much involved into that song that he forgot everone around him for a moment and praised her lovingly for her beautiful voice when she completed her song. He said "shabhash'aap ki gaana tho laajawab hai'aur aap ki aawaz aapki gaane se zyada laajawab hai..aur aap sabse zyada sundar hai '.
Watching the surprised look on the girl's face and on that of her family members, his parents and grand parents trying their level best to keep a straight face and watching his younger brother trying his level best to hide his laugh, he realized that he was so deeply involved in her and her song that he almost forgot that he was acting as a driver and he was on the verge of telling his identity and loose the bet. He then covers up saying that " since he and bade saab grew together and them being best friends , he knows his likes and dislikes. He was just trying to say that if the bride was here listening to her voice he would have given a reaction something like this " and says that if he, mohan liked the song..then definitely sahib is gonna luv her voice.
His younger brother then gives him a thumsup signal and mouths "good cover up bro..lage raho" and winks at him.
Everyone enjoying the scenario in front of them to the full extend, thinks of pulling his leg further and daadu signals daadi to wind him up further.
Then daadi says ,as if trying to distract everyone from his son's antic just now , " Its true that your daughter has the sweetest voice one can ever imagine and we are really happy with ur hospitality.We just saw a girl helping us out of the car. she was really good and charming and well behaved. Is she one of your house hold members?"
Then they informs that she was their maali's daughter who grew up along with her daughter and she is excellent in every work she does as their daughter. infact both of them go to music classes together and she sings just as lovely as her daughter if not more.
Impressed by that girl, daadi naughtily suggests that " since we liked that girl too and as u can see that my son n mohan are best friends..am sure mohan would luv that girl taking in their common likes n dislikes..so if u r ok with it, can we ask her hand for mohan who grew up as our son along with my sons proposal ? mohan is right here and he already mentioned that he luved the song. Am pretty sure he will luv her and her songs ? can u pls once ask uncle (maali ) and tell me if mohans marriage proposal is ok for u all "
Hearing what her mom was impling at he forgets that he was not actually mohan and was just acting and expresses his shock saying that " how can I marry some one else. I, the elder son of khuranas, luv only this girl and going to marry only her'.
Daadi- "par beta..mein tho mohan ki baat kar raha hoon "
He realizing a split later that he fell for their trick and he himself let out his identity thus loosing the bet, watches on in shock.
Realizing that the person standing in front of her was not any driver's son, realizing that he was none other than her man, realizing that he just now declared his luv n willingness to marry her in front of everyone, learning that he came all the way in disguise only to see and talk to her, She couldn't help but blurt out laughing and runs to her room laughing all the way out.
Mr.Khurana then gets up and orders his son to go and start the cars while the elders need to speak something important and sensing that his younger son was on the verge of loosing it and could laugh his heart out any moment now advises him to accompany his elder brother to the cars.
Having got a reason to go out at last, he readily agrees and drags his bro out of the home, to the cars. once they reach the cars, he has one look at his elder brother and erupt into laughter which he was controlling till now only to be joined in by the brother himself and both laugh their heart out.
Once the siblings left the room, the elders erupt into laughter and Mr.Khurana says that "looks like our children both like each other and don't have any problem with each other. So if u all agree to make my son as ur in law, can we move ahead with the marriage ." and the girls father sensing the beautiful future that was about to be bestowed on his daughter, happily agrees.
Once both the siblings calmed down, the younger bro says " bade sahib'.aap ka tho pata nahi..par mujhe mohan pe bahut taras aaraha hai..ek baar socho uska kya haalat hoga jab who sune tho ki yaha aapki hi nahi balki uski shadi ki baat bhi hogaya hai " Just thinking about mohan's shocked expression when he gets to know about the new developments, both the brothers jump into a new wave of laughters. Then he sighing says " chote sahib ji.. don't know why..but I am not even feeling bad that I lost my bet..she definitely has the best laugh in the world and she is definitely more worth than loosing a bet " leading the younger brother to tease him much more and he getting happily teased by his bro and thinking as to when she will finally be his.
