Part 33:
Nupur was standing in the balcony watching moonrise in the evening and smilingly looking at it...
Mayank came from behind and walking towards her he didn't know why he felt like hugging her from back...but he ignored his over-demanding heart these days and went and stood beside Nupur...
Nupur felt a sudden presence which made her heart skip a beat...he silently came and stood beside her...and his mere presence felt like completing the scenario of a beautiful evening...
When her heart was back to its normal speed, Nupur said smiling, "Kitna pyara hai naa moon...aur moonlight..."
Mayank could just say, "Hmm..."frankly speaking he didn't notice that moon was the reason that had brought a sweet smile on Nupur's face for the moment..but he was glad it did...
Nupur looked sideways at him and said, "waise yeh janaab bhi aapke rishtedaar lagte hain...hamesha shanti milegi inke paas aapko"and she laughed at the thought of her comparision...
Mayanka sked a question which surprised Nupur, "toh...kya tumhe mere paas shanti milti hai?" and his expressions were as if he really wanted to know the answer...
Nupur found her brain stuck for a moment...she couldn't think and just looked in his eyes..how true it was.she felt calm and peaceful standing beside him here...it felt good...the surrounding around him always felt like pollution free to her...just like his brain and heart...though very intelligent, but he never had any mixing of any kind of negativity in him...it was so clear in his eyes too...no bad influence ever could find its way to him...he chose to be what he was and she respected him from the core of her heart for that...he ws what he was...always...so handsome and witty and perfect in whatever he did.but no uneccessary attitude.no show-offs...just him Mayank!!!
But then she found that her brain was pounding at her heart to slow down and was informing her that it was functional again and she had an answer waiting to give when she managed to speak, "Mayank...ahhh...agar tumhare paas shanti nahi milegi toh kahaan milegi...mere paas?...tum bhi naa" and she managed a laugh somehow...
Mayank smiled at her innocent answer and said to himself, 'how true...tumhare paas...because she was the girl who could practically challenge the whole world for her dreams and thoughts which, by the way, were as innocent as the meaning of the word dream...that seemed illusionary but made walk through a harsh world as if it were a bed of roses' but he managed to speak, "lagta hai aaj ka moon sach mein kuch magical hai...isliye tum aisi baatein kar rahi ho...matlab...meri side le rahi ho...?"
Nupur said creasing her forehead, "Magical...arrey haan aaj toh ekadashi haimaine kahin padha tha" then suddenly remembering something she ran inside the room after saying, "achcha yaad dilaya"
Mayank stood there in confusion for he didn't know what to expect when from Nupur...
She came back running after ra while when she had rummaged through her stuff and opened her hand in front of Mayank...there were 2 coins in her hand...one of rupee 1 and another of 25 paise...
Mayank looked at her in amazement for an explaination...
Nupur anxiously started explaining, "Pata hai Mayank, ekadashi ke din agar Moon ko dekh kar aur haath mein savaa rupiye (1 rupee 25 paise) rakhkar kuch maange toh woh pura hota hai..." and she smiled widely...
Mayank burst out laughing, "Kya?...savaa rupiya"he was not able to control his laughter at all..."aur tum yeh maanti ho...Nupur...tum sach mein paagal ho..."
Nupur looked at him a bit angrily, "haan toh.maanti hoon...aur aisa hota hai ..samjhe..."
Mayank continued laughing and was turning to leave when Nupur held his wrist and he turned towards her, all silent, all of a sudden...
Nupur looked at him in confidence and said, "aur tum bhi maanoge...jab tumhari wish puri hogi...par mere paas aur 25 paise ke coins nahi hain...toh..."
Mayank asked, "toh?"
Nupur answered by taking his hand in hers and said, "toh ye...ki hum saath mein wish karenge..." and she placed the coins on his hands and instead of closing his fist, she placed her hands on the coins, thereby interwining their hands...
Mayank caught himself in an odd situation, he wanted to run away from there...but still wanted to stay with her, like this..
Nupur found a special belongingness whilst holding his hand...her heart was inflating with happiness...
They both stood there looking at the moon and then prayed...
'God...please let his smile be like it is now...forever...and ever growing.and never leaving him'
'God...let her be this happy always .may she never need to seek happiness but happiness seeks her first...'
and they both turned to look at each other...Nupur smiled and Mayank smiled back to her without knowing it...
Mayank felt like running his thumb over her fingers and in a see saw of his thoughts he left her hand in a jiffy...
Nupur smiled at the ever cute Mayank Sharma and his sometimes odd but still cute behaviour...

Mayank and Nupur came back home after a visit to airport for dropping Sameer and Shilpa Sharma on time to catch up the plane...
It was now stange that Mayank and Nupur were alone in such a big house...ofcourse there were servents and cooks but that didn't count for obvious reasons..
Now they were alone in the house and not just their room...it didn't exactly fulfill their desire to go for a 'holiday'...rather it meant exactly that somehow...

While their way back home from airport, Mayank saw a man standing in the middle of the road, waving hand at him…he had to come to a sudden halt to stop an accident……..
When he saw him, he recognized the man was from his own college…he remembered that he was 1 such sample student who never studied but was always nudging the professors for making Mayank help him with his notes….there was another reason too why Mayank didn't like him, in fact hated that guy…
It was during his college times…Mayank and Nupur were in different colleges…
Mayank didn't knew when this guy, Sunil, had seen Mayank and Nupur together, may be at a family gathering….and he knew that Mayank knew Nupur…
One of those days when Sunil had come to take notes from Mayank, he had asked Mayank to introduce Nupur to him…Big Mistake on his part…
First of all Mayank hated the idea of introducing someone to someone and trying to set up a meeting between them….and secondly, he knew the guy was not a good person, he had the most random ideas about girls….and above all he wanted to be introduced to Nupur……
Mayank had always been protective of Nupur in such cases….there had been other incidences too…
Mayank knew Nupur was a bit silly, according to him then, but how could he do this to Nupur of all people…though they hardly talked and mostly fought, especially after their big fight in school, but still…it was Nupur…
Bhushan Uncle's daughter….a good girl….though a bit intervening at times to Mayank…..but Nupur was Nupur..he wouldn't ever do that to her….
Later Mayank ha given a good lecture to Sunil for asking favours from Mayank in this case and asked him to stay away from Nupur….
And now, here he was again asking lift from him….Nupur had easily given him the invitation to him once she got to know he was from Mayank's college…..she smilingly asked him to sit at the back….though Mayank tried to deny the lift, Nupur took pride in being cordial to him and tried to inquire him about Mayank, n his college life….and some other random talks….
Mayank got more than irritated with him….and Nupur didn't seem to understand Mayank's sudden irritation towards him…and his quickly forming anger….
After they left him, Nupur tried to ask Mayank about his anger when he totally avoided explain and said he didn't like him…..afterall what would he explain to her….

Nupur had made ginger tea, once they reached home and made Mayank have it with her never ending blabbering………but that was all he needed this time…it made Mayank forget all about the incident and his anger soon perished….
