Kabhi Kabhi: Part 20

Angad had just got done calling Karan, when the bathroom door opened and walked out Kripa. She ignored Angad completely and walked to the mirror.

Angad also decided that he wont talk to her, he grabbed his towel and left for the shower.

About fifteen minutes later when Angad came back out, he was dressed in jeans and a nice shirt. After combing his hair quickly he turned and left the room. Angry Kripa threw a pillow behind him, but it hit the door instead. She jumped on the bed and sat on it angry. She picked up another pillow and threw it on the floor, followed by a loud scream.

Kripa had dinner alone, then she read for sometime. Called her father back home, called Karan and Saamiya. Read for some more time, and then watched cartoons on the T.V. Around, ten she started falling asleep. Angad had been gone for about two hours now. Kripa knew for sure that Angad was at the disco or at the casino playing. He was suppose to be with her, she was his wife, and this was apart from his business trip their extremely late 'honeymoon'. Instead he had left her alone in the hotel room.

Kripa told herself not to worry and just go to sleep. She laid down, and pulled the sheets over her when she noticed the room keys, Angad had left them here. Kripa smiled a wicked smile and closed her eyes. And, as soon as she did there was a knock on the door. And, another knock, and one more. Kripa didn't get up to open it.

"Kripa, it's me Angad. Door kholo." Kripa ignored it completely and made herself comfortable in bed. "Kirpa!!!" He screamed again.

Defeated Kripa got out of bed and opened the door. Angad smiled at her and walked in, "What took you so long?" He asked throwing one shoe towards the right side, and the other towards the left.

"I fell asleep."

"Uh-huh, sure." Kripa went back to bed; Angad left to change. He came back and sat on the bed beside Kripa. "You know I had so much fun at the disco, you should have came. I had a great time with Priya. She's so awesome to hang around with." Kripa looked at Angad extremely angry. Angad reached for his pillow. Kripa, took it back from him and threw it on the floor. "Kirpa? What are you doing?"

"You can sleep on the floor peacefully."

"Why?"

"Because I said so, 'sweetheart!'"

Angad stood up mumbling under his breath, then he sat back down and looked at Kripa, "What's your problem, Kirpa?"

"You are my biggest problem sweetheart."

"It's the same for me." He tried to snatch the blanket from Kripa but she pulled it back. Angad pulled it again, but this this he pulled Kripa with the blanket. Kripa fell on him, Angad held her and their eyes met. After a few short moments Kirpa sat up again. "I'm sorry." Angad said looking away.

"It's ok." Angad stood up when Kirpa held his hand. "I was joking Angad, you can sleep here."

Angad sat back down, this time closer to her. "Tell me something Kripa, why are you angry with me?"

Kirpa twisted her lips, "I don't know."

"Yes you do. You have been angry with me from the time I drove fast. And then…"

"Why I shouldn't be mad? Angad you have no idea how scared I was when I saw that truck coming our way. For a second I thought, it was the end of me, and I thought I would loose you and…" Kripa stopped and looked at Angad.

Angad got closed to her, "So you were not angry at me, but worried about me?" Kripa nodded her head like a little child, "Why?" He asked, getting closer.

Kirpa looked up at him uncomfortably, and then looked down at her hands, Anagd placed a finger under her chin and made her face him again, "I'm sorry Kirpa." Instead of saying anything Kripa embraced Angad. Angad knew that she was scared, and he also figured that Kripa had wanted to embrace him right when she got out of the car.

Kripa Sharma, now Kripa Khanna, was the last person Angad expected to be so concerned about. In the last nine months everything that happened was so unexpected, everything that happened was what neither one of them wished for nor did they ever think about.

Both Angad and Kripa had by now, planned that they would live the rest of their lives like this, teasing each other, happily as best friends. Little did they knew, this wasn't enough and this wasn't the way one lived life. They both thought that nothing bigger than this could happen in their life, but faith had a surprise lined up for them in Delhi, another misunderstanding that would lead into many new discoveries.

********

Angad and Kripa spend two days at Goa. For most of the time Kripa found Angad messing around with Priya, but by now it was obvious that Angad was just trying to make life harder for Kripa. And, moreover Priya was already dating someone else, and she didn't have any feeling for Angad other than he was a great friend. Which he was.

Kripa didn't get to see too much of the Goa night life because Angad had fixed most of his appointments for dinner time. And, dinner was quite boring for Kripa as well, she would sit alone in the room, doing just odd things. And, for the most part she would catch herself thinking about Angad and herself. Their lives in a few years, and sometimes the thought scared her. Angad Khanna, was her husband, yet her best friend. And, she was going to spend her entire life with him, she was going fall asleep every night beside him and wake up every morning beside him but without the relations that she hoped to share with her husband. Of course, she was grossed out when ever she thought about loving Angad, or sharing a relation with him which was other than of friendship.

Along with this, she figured she was never going to have kids. When this thought crossed her mind she stood up and walked to the window on her last night in Goa. They would be leaving first thing tomorrow morning.

She took a deep breath, "It can't be possible." She told herself. "I'm sure in the coming years Angad and I will fall in love. I mean for how long can we live together without loving each other? Moreover, we both, once in our lives, thought we loved each other."

She sighed and now sat down on the window and looked at the beach, and the people there. They were mostly couples, walking bare footed, holding hands, and a few kissing. Now, she asked herself, will there be a day when her and Angad would look like an actual couple?

She stood up again, "Why am I thinking these things? I doubt we will even live together, I'm sure Anagd will find someone who he will fall in love with, and I'll find someone I'll love and we will eventually end up divorcing each other. The only reason we got married was to hurt each other."

"You really think so?" It was Angad Khanna. Kripa turned around and found him standing across the room, with some what a sad expression on his face.

"Hi Angad."

"Ya, Hi. Now tell me, you think we will be divorced in the coming years?"

Kirpa sighed and walked to him, she took his hand in hers and looked at his brown eyes. "You don't think so?" Angad shook his head, "So you think you will never find someone who you will love and want to spend the rest of your life with?" She asked him.

"I've found you Kripa." He blinked. "I mean, I don't love you and all, but," he paused and exhaled tension. He took his hand away and turned around. "I'll be honest Kripa."

"About what Angad?"

"Well, when we got married, we both agreed to the marriage because we supposedly, hated each other. Eventually we never did anything more that to irritated each other, and we still do."

He turned around and faced Kripa again. "When I found out from Prithvi about both of you guys, I was shattered simply because you had made me a better person, and now I was going to loose you because of Prithvi. I love Prithvi a lot, he's a great guy, and a great brother Kripa. But, I also know he's hated me all his life. He has thought that I've always snatched his rights from him. Anything and everything from the fact Karan loves me more, to my parents have always given me more that Prithvi or Karan. Which is true, simply because when I was born, growing up, my parents were more stable, not like today but they were more stable compared to when Karan or Prithvi were born. Karan never held it against me, but Prithvi has. You might be wondering why am I telling you all this?"

Angad walked to Kirpa held her shoulders, "Prithvi hates me today because he thinks I took you away from him. It might be true. Maybe if we didn't marry the two of you would have got together again, and you would have been Mrs. Kripa Prithvi…." Before Angad could continue Kripa covered his mouth.

"I will always be Mrs. Kripa Angad Khanna, Angad. And, if I weren't married to you I would still not marry Prithvi. But, I still don't get you point."

Angad smiled, "Kripa, I'm not the same Angad Khanna you met in Europe, I'm not the same Angad Khanna whom you married. I've changed and you have changed me. And, I don't want to loose you. I guess I'm selfish. But I know if you leave me my life will turn upside down again. Everything would be a mess from my closet to me as a person. I don't need you Kripa as my wife to serve me breakfast or to keep fasts for me like other women do. But I need you here for much more than that. Much, much more, and maybe I will never be able to explain you why I need you so much, but I do."

By the time Angad had finished his speech Kripa was in tears. It was true that Angad was a special person in her life, and his words had touched her the way she never expected his words to. They mad her happy and sad at the same time, she was glad that he was willing to be there for her, but in return asking her to be there for him. And Kirpa was fine with it. She didn't mind living with Angad her entire life, but that wasn't enough.

"Kirpa, did I loose you again?" Angad asked holding her shoulder a little tighter.

Kripa looked up and smiled, "No you didn't."

"Now if we are through this sad, sad conversation, did you have dinner?"

"Not yet. I ordered but," and the door bell rang.

"I'll get it." Angad walked to the door and brought the food inside. "And your food is here!" Kripa smiled, still thinking about what Angad had said. "Kripa." He made her sit down and then sat down beside her. "Ok, lets make this clear." Kirpa looked at Angad. After putting his arm around Kripa he moved forward, "Why are you confused, and what are you confused about?"

"I'm confused about us, Angad." Angad looked at her, unsure what to say. "I'm unsure about the relationship we share. I'm confused of what our future hold Angad, I'm-"

"Don't be, did you know what your future held before we were married? Did you know we would share just awesome friendship, you didn't, right?" Kripa nodded, "Then leave everything on time. And, I promise you that I'll never disappoint you. If you are concerned about the world, don't be. Its us who are living this relationship Kripa, not the world."

"But Angad-"

"Shush! Kripa, when we are happy this entire world will be with us, but when we face problems no one will be with us, no one. Kirpa we married each other, we became friends without worrying about what the world thinks. And, we are going to live that way. Did you ever think about anyone when you married me aside the fact that you hated me, wanted revenge from me because I've done wrong to you in life?"

Kripa nodded again. "Bingo! So now if you care about at all, lets have dinner."

"I have to eat, what does that have to do with you?"

"I didn't have dinner yet." He smiled looking at Kripa, "Aur meri sweet si friend ko maana main mujhko aur bhi bhook lag gyi. Come get up and lets have dinner."

"Angad."

"Yes."

"Thank you."

Angad's face expression softened again, "Welcome."

"Lakin Angad aagar…"

"Shut-up Kripa. Kabhi Kabhi we have to leave it on time." He just looked at her.

"Let's have dinner Angad."

"That's like a good girl. You start I'm going to change quickly!"

********

After dinner, Kripa and Angad were just packing the few things they had to pack. Kirpa had stopped pondering those questions, she trusted Angad. But deep down she was scared that if this trust ever breaks she would die, if Angad broke her trust once more, which she doubted he would, she would fall into depression for sure.

Kirpa was flipping through the T.V. channels when Angad came back from informing the reception they would be checking out tomorrow morning. Angad sat on the bed beside her, and watched her flipping through the same channels over six times. He took the control from her and turned the T.V. off.

"You still look anxious still."

'I'm not, I'm just bored. You know I've read two novels in the past two days, and I'm tired of reading." She frowned like a little kid. "And you have been busy in your meeting." She jumped on her knees, "lets go for a walk on the beach!"

Angad looked at her, "that's all that we have done in the past days, if you have been anywhere it's the beach. I Don't know how you find that fun."

Kripa walked on her knees and then sat beside Angad, "It's better than sitting in here. Plus, we have only been here for two days, and its fun because it's," she paused, "its fun. Come on now lets go." She grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the room.

About five minutes later the two were walking on the soft, cold sand. Kripa was barefoot while Angad was in his slippers. Kirpa loved the way her feet felt sunk into the sand, the soft feeling. It was paradise.

The waves were rolling up, in small waves. Angad and Kripa weren't talking, just strolling. Angad, was actually dragging, while Kripa was walking. The wind was just perfect to keep Kripa's hair, and her dupatta flying. Under the moonlight, Kripa's bluish, purplish outfit looked even more ravishing. The silver embroidery, and her silver earrings allowed her to look beautiful.

Angad looked at Kripa now, not expecting that he would look at her for a longer time. Angad stopped walking and just looked at her. Kripa was just looking around when she caught Angad looking at her. Angad looked away smiling. Kripa wrapped her arm around Angad's arm and he looked at her again.

"You know, if you compliment me it won't kill you!" Kripa grinned looking at Angad. They weren't walking but just looking at each other.

"You are beautiful Kripa." Angad finally said.

Unexpected, Kripa blushed. Angad smirked, seeing her blush. "And you look even more beautiful, when you blush!" Kripa looked up at Angad, "now if you are happy, lets go back."

"You're very bad Angad. Come on lets go to the light house and then we can go back." Angad looked in front of him, and saw the tall light house.

After a defeated sigh he said, "Lets go Queen of China!"

"Thank you!" They walked to the light house, Kripa still holding Angad's arm. When they both reached the top of the light house, they gasped. It was a beautiful sight. Angad and Kripa could see half of Goa, and all the lights. But when Kripa looked down, she was scared. The floor under her was cold, and she moved back slightly.

Angad looked at her, "Kripa you're a chicken."

Kripa looked at Angad, "I know I am! But, it's high Angad." She moved next to Angad again and looked down. Holding Angad again.

"Aagar main tumko yaha sa neech gher do tho?"

"Aagar yeh baat tumna shaadi ka baad kahi hoti tho abhi tak maina tumko Dhaka de diya hota."

"Tho abhi de do." Angad taunted.

"Abhi ka liya wapis cholo. Kal subha maan kiya tho wapis aa jayga and then i'll push you down!" She dragged him away and soon they were back on the beach.

"Kripa, lets just sit here for sometime."

"Ok!" Kripa and Angad sat down watching the waves. Kripa tried to keep the sand in her hand but it slipped away. She tried again, closing her hand tightly but it still didn't happen. When she tried it again, Angad held his hand under Kripa's, when Kripa opened her fist, with Angad's hand still under her hand, the sand was still there.

Kripa looked at Angad, and just looked at him for a long time, something told her that Angad would never let her down.

Kripa and Angad both looked opposite directions and smiled at them selves. When they both leaned back, resting their hands on the sand, Angad's hand landed on top of Kripa, and their eyes met once again.

This time Kripa held Angad's hand, "Angad can you believed we have been married for almost nine months now."

Angad shook his head, "I don't. I don't believe that I survived living with you for nine full months, day and night. Wow, I must be awarded the Noble Price award!"

Kirpa groaned, hitting his arm sightly, "Angad, tum Kabhi nahie sudhroga." She tried to stand up but Angad pulled her back down.

"Tumko ek baat batao."

"Kya?"

"Not all of these nine months, but about five of these nine months have been the best five months of my life!"

Not wanting to, she smiled. But, both their expressions suddenly turned serious and sad at the same time. And, they ended up hugging each other.

"Why does everything feel so perfect, so right when I hold you, Kripa, why?" He asked himself.

Hello guys, i hope you enjoyed this part! In fact, I don't know about you guys but this is my favorite part in the fan-fiction so far. I loved the entire conversation Kripa and Angad; it was good as a whole. Anyways, now you guys tell me.

Coming up: Kripa and Angad get back to Delhi, with an envolope waiting for Kripa. Something that will compel her to rethink about her and Angad's marrage. The Khanna house is exicted to celebrate, Karan and Saamiya's; Angad and Kripa's first anniversary, little do they know Kripa and Anagd are thinking about ending their relationship, as husband-wife, and as two friends.
