After the whole mess that was this night Armaan came back to Sanjeevani he didn't feel like going home tonight. Going home meant sleeping and sleeping meant Riddhima in his thoughts and that was a pain he could no longer tolerate. After seeing Sid and Riddhima today he realized that moving on was the only choice left to him. He had to step back in order to move forward. He knew now that he had let go of her if he had any hope of holding onto happiness.
So there he sat on a bench in front of Sanjeevani looking at the doors of a hospital that had given him all the happiness he had ever known. The hospital that had given Riddhima and the hospital that took her right back. As he sat there the last two years of his life whizzed through his head; the happy times, the sad times, the joy, the pain, the laughter, the tears, all of it running like a film in his mind. "Bas ab aur nahin" he said to himself and got up to leave for home. Just as he stood up something fell from his pocket, he went to pick it up. It was that bracelet! He looked at it curiously and seeing it reminded of the pain in his head and that strange blue figure he had seen. He couldn't help but chuckle a little at the thought of having been struck with a bat on the head from an oddly blue stranger. He shook his head and started to walk towards his bike, just then an ambulance came rushing in.
Immediately there was ruckus in the once calm parking lot, Armaan like many others rushed to the ambulance, but when the doors opened unlike the others he didn't see the patients he saw a familiar blue figure.
"Hato, Hato" cried the girl as she helped the doctors get the patient out of the ambulance. "Suna nahin HATO!" she screamed at one of the onlookers. "Is hospital mein sirf aise jokers hain kya koi doctor nahin hain? Why is there no doctor here!" she yelled.
Just then Armaan snapped out of and rushed over "Let me help" he said.
"Doctor ho?" she asked.
"Obviously!" he replied.
"Toh pichle paanch minute se scenery dekh rahe the kya?"
"Eh calm down main bas…"
Fortunately for the patient Dr. Keerti came running and as always took everything under control. While Dr. Keerti and the nurses were taking care of the patient Armaan was having the hardest time deciding whether this horribly rude blue figure was the same as that violent blue figure. "Ho sakta hai" he said to himself. "Lekin woh waali itni rude nahin thi, matlab itni rude lagi nahin, par shayaad, oh whatever forget it." He began to walk again towards his bike but this time instead of an ambulance siren it was a "Hey You!" that stopped him.
He turned around and again all he saw was a flash of blue running towards him. "Yes?" he asked. "Sorry" she responded. "Kis liye?" It was as if this response puzzled her she just sort of looked at him with that "Are you stupid?" kind of look.
"Itna rude hone ke liye, woh kya hai na, jab main nervous hoti hoon toh bas control hi nahin hota aur jab kisa itna saara khoon behe raha ho toh nervousness toh ho hi jaati hai, nahin?"
"Okay" he said with sheer confusion. He didn't understand why this girl was talking to him and what exactly she was saying.
"Waise aap doctor hain yahaan par?" she asked and again Armaan just looked at her. "Sorry sorry stupid question, who kya hai na ki kal mera pehla din hain, as an intern so I'm a bit nervous aur socha ki agar aap bhi yahaan ke doctor hain toh you know there will be a familiar face tomorrow"
"Yeh kaun hai?" Armaan thought, "Yeh itne baatien kyon kar rahi hai"
"Aap itna confused kyon lag rahe ho?" she asked and snapped him out of his mental lapse. "Oh…woh…who are you again?" he asked. "Oh, how stupid of me, I'm Shilpa, Shilpa Malhotra, no no Dr. Shilpa Malhotra!" she said with a huge smile "and you?"
"Shilpa! Yeh woh hi hai, us bracelet pe S lika hai, yeh wohi hai" Armaan though to himself. "Hello!" she said! "Oh sorry I was just…" Just as Armaan was about to speak she interrupted him, "Wait wait you said you are a doctor here, right?" he nodded, "kitne der se" she asked. As taken aback as he was he still managed to respond with a "2 years". "OH MY GOSH! Phir toh tum kisi Dr. Armaan Malik ko jaante hoge?" she said. Now this he didn't expect.
He just looked at this crazy girl who had spent the last five minutes talking to a complete stranger and was now asking him whether he knew who he was! Armaan decided that it was time to have some fun. "Haan haan he's….he's….a friend, dost hai mera, kyon?" he asked curiously. "Actually you see I'm not from here lekin kuch saal pehle meri dost ki mummy yahaan par admit thi and anyways when my friend came back home pure teen mahin din raat usne Dr. Armaan Malik ki baatien kari, he's so cute, he's so handsome, he's so this he's so that" Armaan couldn't help but smile. "Aur phir jab Sanjeevani ki online ratings dekhi tab bhi jar jaga par Armaan hi Armaan" Now this really brightened Armaan;s mood. She continued, "Toh jab mujhe yahaan par internship mili I was like dekhen toh yeh Armaan Malik hai kya cheez, you know, toh kaisa hai Armaan Malik?" she seemed to be finished now and was expecting Armaan to respond. "Ughhhh…." he didn't know what to say. "He's your friend right?" she asked. "Haan lekin…" once again she didn't think it was necessary to let him finish. "Obviously how stupid of me tum apne dost ko aise thodi dekh te ho, lekin bande mein kuch to hoga isi liye toh ladkiyan pagal hain, nahin?" Armaan just smiled and nodded.
"Look…Shilpa" she nodded "Mujhe actually ab ghar jaana hai so..." "Oh yes yes, sorry" she said. "Well then nice to meet you Shilpa" said Armaan as he slowly began to step away from this crazy girl. "Yeah nice to meet you too….oh wait tumhara naam?" she said.
Armaan didn't think it would be appropriate to tell her who he was just yet so he said the first name that came to his mind, "Karan". "Nice name Karan!" she smiled.
With that both of them began to walk to their own destinations. "Hmmm Shilpa, Ms. Blue Bracelet" Armaan laughed to himself, "meri samajh se toh bahar hai".
Finally Armaan's blue blur had a name; Shilpa.
