Part 10

Geet didn't went to the college next day. She got a mobile from dadi ma and meera who taught her how to use it.

Geet pretended to be really happy for getting the mobile but in reality she was feeling very depressed. Maan's attitude last night had really hurt her. His attitude was breaking her bit by bit. It was like dying a slow death. She wanted some indication that he felt her love, appreciated it. Even their love making which was passionate and intense had brought tears to her eyes for some reason. This thought had struck in her mind that even though she was as near to maan as physically, they were miles apart in their emotional status.

Maan was very agitated the whole day at the office, he immersed himself in work to forget everything but just could not do it. So, he did what he always did when he was in turmoil, he decided to go to HP.

He had an important meeting tomorrow, after which he will be able to go. Their was a party thrown by his friends on Saturday but he will skip that. plan formed, he started to feel better.

Pari came to meet geet after college, got whole story from her about yesterday and then, shrieked at top of her voice at hearing Armaan's name.

Pari,''OMG OMG OMG, I can't believe it, he offered to drop you home, wow, he is soooo hot and cool, my best friend went home with Dr. Armaan, I can't believe it and you didn't called me yesterday to give this news. Geet, this is not fair , from now onward you will tell me all about you two.''

geet who was bewildered at the shrieking, then, the OMG's followed by ''best friend'' took a little time to catch up.

Geet finally managed to ask,''so, you know him?''

Pari,''of course, he is hottie no.2, Dr. Armaan !! the doctor of every girls armaan, emotions.''she said in a trance like voice.

Geet who was sitting on sofa with her, slid a few inches away,''hmm.'' was this girl right in head?

Paari,''you know I believe this is destiny, and I will sacrife my hottie for you.'' she said with martyred expression.

Geet thinking definitely an air head.

Geet,''what do you mean?''

pari,''i am a good friend nah, so I for you buddig love story, I will back off from Armaan, but you will have to introduce me to Maan, he lives here nah, is he home?''

Geet's mind got stuck on her last sentences. She felt a surge of possessiveness,''no he is not home.''

At that time meera came in and pari got up to greet her. They talked about something while geet tried to get control of herself. But one thing was sure, she will make sure that pari didn't start coming here on regular basis, no in fact, she should not be allowed to come here at all.

Meera,''i think you should go geet, it would be real fun.''

geet looked at her blankly,'' sorry, I was thinking about something else. What did you say?''

Pari naughtily,''i know what you are thinking these days.'' meera looked at pari in question.''i will tell you meera didi but not right now, its a little too soon, anyway, I don't think geet will have any problem. I am going out to buy some jackets, you two should come as well. I think geet with need a few things'' she said looking critically at geet's attire.

Geet,''problem?? shopping?? what you two are talking about?''

Meera,''ok, pari lets go for shopping, we will tell you along the way geet.''

then, despite geet's protests she was dragged by meera and pari to the car.

geet was sitting in the back seat with meera driving the car and pari on front seat.

Geet,'' at least tell me now.''

Meera cheekily replied, ''nothing important, just you are going to manali on college trip for the weekend.''

geet,''what.''

Maan came home and after having dinner went to his room. He packed his bag as he planned to go straight from office and then, called brij informing him about his trip. Brij was happy and told him that there is a good news he wants to share and in fact, he had been coming to Delhi to tell Maan.

His mood lightening maan tried to guess a few times but failed. Ok, I am coming tomorrow, so you can tell me in person. Brij said o.k. They talked about some other things together and disconnected the call.

Maan was tired, he had not slept last night as well and he had a full day at office, so he showered and changed and slid into bed to sleep. He was deep in sleep few minutes later.

Geet and meera came up with all the bags and put them in the room next to maan.

Meera,''okay go now and ask him.''

geet,''i don't want to go.'' she repeated for 50^th time.

Meera,''learn to live a little. You will not get such chance again. Its new year on saturday as well. It will be real fun.''

Geet,''i don't think maan will agree.''

Meera,''just ask him.''

Geet opened the door and peeked in. The room was dark and maan appeared asleep. Geet closed the door.'' he is sleeping and he will be angry if I woke him up.''

meera,''okay, fine, I will ask him tomorrow.''

Maan was in hurry next day and he had scheduled a few things early. After exercise, he quickly drank orange juice and went to tell dadi ma that he was leaving for HP from office. Dadi ma said to take geet with him but maan refused saying he will take her next time. He was going to HP to spent some time away from her and relax. He was is constant tension since marrying her. He was doing things he never thought he was capable of, his anger and hatred was overtaking him, so he wanted to find peace and calm. He wanted to understand why he could not stop himself from touching her.

He was not biased, he knew opposite sex found him attractive, he had gotten countless offers from very beautiful girls in school, college and university life, still in business world there were women at every step but it had been always easy to say no. but with geet, every thing was different.

He left for office. He was not taking driver with him. After sitting in the car ,he looked at back mirror, geet was visible. He turned on the car. After he was gone, geet went inside.

Meera tried maan's mobile for 100^th time but it was still busy. She decided to ask dadi ma for permission. She was bit reluctant about sending geet without maan's permission but meera managed to get a yes out of her. Don't worry pari will be there with geet, no need to get worried.

Dadi ma,''ok but if maan call, don't tell him, tell dev same thing.''

meera,''don't worry, she will be back by the time maan will come back from HP.''
