Sid and neha were starting to build a more of a growing relationship, since sid was not like other senior doctors who kept a low profile when interacting with other interns. He loved spending time getting to know the interns while maintaining his own boundaries'It was a fine Sunday afternoon and sid had promised to take his son out for the day. The sun was shining nice and bright and it was unusually warm day in Shimla. Sid as per his promise to his son takes him down to the nearest park. They have reached the park and Sid had nearly finished adjusting his car into the parking slought,Rahul quickl jumps out of the car in excitement, then sid after him

Sid: rahul beta dyan se don't be sooo excited that u might end up hurting urself

Rahul: sure dad don't worry

Rahul runs back to his dad and holds his hand. They walk hand in hand into the park through the barriers, as soon as they get through the barriers they could see the playing area across the greenery and rahul cannot wait to run to the swings'they walk through the walkway leading on to the play ground, when Rahul and sid sees ridhima walking from the opposite side.

Rahul: ridhima aunty

Sid: ridhima

Ridhima: sid aur rahul

Rahul quickly let go off his dad's hand and run to ridhima, while sid walks quickly to catch up . Rahul runs into ridhima and hugs her instantly

Rahul:hi aunty

Ridhima hugs him in response

Rids: hi beta, how are u ?

Rahul: I am fine aunty'. how are u ?

Rids: fine beta aur bathavo how is school?

Sid catches up ridhima looks up to sid

She then bends down back to the kid

sid grins at rahul as he looks back at him.rids looks at both of them admiring the little vibe there..

rahul:umm..mai khelne javoo ?

sid:lol padayi ki bath sunthe hee khelne ja reha hai..lol' javooo beta

rids lol : sure rahul u can goo

rahul: bi aunty see u in a bit

rahul runs to the swings while the adults are left in each others company

they both look in the direction of rahul and then look at each other

sid: so how come u r here ?

rid: nah esse he just came for a walk it was nice and sunny so thought why not exploit the weather too

sid: are u gonna be here 4 long or way u on ur way out

rids: I was on my way out but now'ummm

sid: stay lol u can keep me a company while rahul is away

they both look at rahul who is playing at a distance

rids: ummm..sure

sid: come lets go and sit on that bench, I guess u had enough walk for now

rids: lol oh! Sure

they walk together to the nearest bench which wasn't very far from where rahul was playing

they quickly make their way up and make themselves comfy..

sid: soo then do u come here always

rids: noo just sometimes whenever I am in a mood

sid: ooo

rids: how about u ?

sid: whenever rahul insists

rids: oo...

sid sees a man selling some peanuts @ some distance

sid : hey fancy some peanuts

rids: no I am fine thanks

sid: come on ridhima

both sid and ridhima realise that sid had called her ridhima after a long span of seven years,they look into each others eyes knowing what sid has just done, few seconds later sid looks away

sid: ummm'lemmme go and get some from him

rids smiles at him

sid: will be back in a sec

sid starts walking towards the man, he turns around and sees ridhima watching him, he smiles back and starts walking to the man and doesn't look back till has reached there

Meanwhile rahul comes running back to where ridhima was sitting

Rahul: where did dad goo ?

Rids: oo he wen to buy some peanuts of that man there

Rahul: oo

Rids: oo why ?

Rahul: my bracelet is coming off I wanted him to tighten the lock for me, he is very strong so he can do it easily I cannot though

Rids: aww don't worry u will too be strong enough one day to that on ur own

Rahul is holding on to his bracelet

Rids: I am not as strong as ur dad but think I might be able to do it 4 u

Rahul : will u ?

Rids: yess

Rahul: that will be great then I can quickly return back to play without waiting for dad

Rids: okay let me do it 4 u

Rids holds rahul's hand and puts the bracelet on when she sees the plated flat half of the brace let which had something inscribed on it

Rids: (loudly): abhi-niki

She looks @ rahul

Rahul: dad said that my mom made this for me with her and pap's name on it

Rids was shocked to hear that, she looks upto rahul trying to absorb the new information'

Rids : so niki is yur mum ?

Rahul : yhhh and abhi mi real dad

Rids: so ur niki's and dr adbhimaniyu's son

Rahul: yh but also my dad's (sid) son too..

Rids: I don't understand

Rahul: abhi papa and niki are my real parents but sid daddy has taken care of me ever since I was a kid and he has taken care of me, although he is not my dad and more of a uncle but I will never call him uncle because he is my dad

Rids doesn't say anything but she puts her hand onto rahul's head and ruffles through his hair with affection that it was niki's son'

She is overwhelmed by emotions that she goes speechless

Rahul : aunty bracelet theek karke doo na muje khelne jana hai

Rids comes back to senses and bends down and tighten the hooks, she then looks up to the kid,

Rahul just could not wait to return back to play so as soon as she fixes his bracelet he runs away impatiently, leaving a thoughtful ridhima behind'

Few minutes later rids is still absorbed In her thoughts when sid returns he looks at her and senses her to be per-occupied as she didn't seem to have notices his return, sid clicks his fingers infront of her eyes when she comes back to her senses;;;

Rids: huh?

Sid extends the packet of peanuts to rids and she accepts it without thinking'sid sits down

Sid : kya sooch rehi thii ?

Rids: tum ne kabhi bataya nahi ki rahul abi aur niki ka beta hai

Sid: well kabhi mauka he nahi mila yeh bathene ke liye..

Rids: ummm'I always thought that he was ur son may be from a second marriage or something

Sid:lol'nooo'.ummm u know after our divorce( their eyes meet up for few seconds and they look away ) I went back to Hutson, there I found out about abhi bhaiya's sudden death in a car crash and add to the misery was niki's cancer diagnostic, everything altogether had shooked the family (Rids looks at sid who is looking away and is trying to hide his misery)so I never told anyone about the truth behind our divorce, for them the explanation was always it was on mutual understanding which it was anyway'It was ( with sadness rids looks away as her expressions begin to change) all over anyway there wasn't any point in explaining anything all I wanted was to move on and not burden my family with more troubles as they had enough to deal with any way . Rids: I am sorry to hear all that's happened to your family and especially over the loss of AN.

She gets on comfy on what to say about their divorce also cautious so that nothing wrong comes out, she opens her mouth when sid senses the uncomfyness and replies

Sid( looking away): fate! As the good old saying goes

But to look at the brighter side I have the greatest blessing of all time during that tough phase which was Rahul and since then he has been an awesome life

Sid: things could have been much harder. I could have been left on my own to deal with things but god has been this gracious and I thank him for that'( rids looks back and smiles)

There is a brief silence in between them..

She then looks away and takes the edge of her dupatta and plays with it trying hard to approach him with the question which had been bugging her mind recently since they have been sharing some space together and there was no much better time to ask him..Sid looks at her and then looks away.she finally makes up her mind'

Rids: sid ( he looks at her, she starts speaking without looking at him) 'ummm..so then did u ever enter into another relationship after,'.umm'u left sanjeevanii

Sid looks at her with a stern look, his looks into her eyes with intensity and his eyes told the entire story , they share a brief eye lock, just then a chilly breeze blows breaking their eye lock,they both look away

Sid: umm its cold perhaps I should take rahul home or else he will catch a cold

Rids nods her head and looks away

Sid gets up and gives a shout to his son , rids stand up and they look in the direction of rahul who is running towards them.rahul makes it to sr in few seconds

Sid: chale its getting cold

Rahul: k dad

Sid: say bii to aunty

Rahul looks towards rids

Rahul: biii aunty

Sid: tum ghar nahi ja rehi

Rids: yh in a bit

Sid: rite them we will take leave see u at work

Sid and rahul walk away, rids stares in their direction, Sid and rahul gets into the car, he takes the car out of the parking sought and is preparing to drive away, he checks his mirrors and catches a glance of rids standing and looking in his direction. He pauses and stares @ the image in the mirror

Sid ( in his mind ) :

He gives a disappointing smile

Rahul comes closer and place his hand on top of sids hand which is on the gear, sid comes out of his thoughts on this touch

Sid drives off and ridhima watches then until the images of the car trails off from her eyes,Sid' and neha's relationship was also building a strong casual approach, strong enough that she could confront him about her findings of his past..

It was a fine Thursday morning, ridhima, tamanna were with sid in his cabin, it was just before their shift would start and they were there to be briefed by sid. However seeing there was still some time left for their shifts to start tam starts with the newspaper. Sid puts the file away and decides to pay attention to tam just for keeping her happy

Sid gets into completely professional mode and stay such for rest of the day,sid and rids didn't see each other until that afternoon when, sid was walking back from the nursing station towards his cabin , tam and ridhima were walking from the other end 'Sid and ridima bump into each other..It was a quite corridor so there wans't anyone else watching them apart from tam'

Sid's fingers instantaneously goes around ridhima's waist holding her up before she landed on the floor, they were so close that they their cheeks were touching , sid slowly moves upwards so that their eyes could meet, rids could feels sid's breathe on her face'they both look into each others eyes , completely immersed in each other that they forgot to look at tam, suddenly a cool breeze from the ac blows and tams dupatta goes flying in the air covering sid and ridhima's face..tam watches them for a while and seeing that there was no response she goes around and slowly removes the dupatta from their face, ad the fabric glides down their face they both come back into senses .Sid quickly steadies ridhima on her foot and avoids tam's questing eyes and flees from the site..leaving behind ridhima who starts walking away too, tam decided to follow her

Just then a ward boy passes them and ridhima signs tam to quiten

Ridhima looks in shock at tam's face'

Tam:kahi essa thoo nahi hai ? ( ridhima stops walking and looks at tam in horror) patha hai jis tereh se setting thee it was all quite filmy bus background music ki saroorath thee

Ridhima starts to pace up again

Tam: u know what I saw u guies in a similar position this morning too, ek dine may twice kahi essa thoo nahi hai ki 'u r falling for him ?

Rids: stops are u mad or what?

Rids: shut up tam

Rids looks away knowing there was no way to avoid this matter

Just then her pager beeps and it was an on call for which rids was asked to rush too

Rids was about to walk off when tam puts her hand on rids's arm

Tam: I do understand all that is happening, sid is not a bad guy at all ( rids :in her mind : janthi hu) and I know he will prove to be the best '

Rids just smiles and walks away because giving an answer at this point wouldn't be wise since, she knew there was still a lot to be spoken and cleared off

She smiles and leaves. It was evening the sunset had occurred, Sid was finally on a long break after a even longer shift, he was accustomed to working long hours so this did not tire him at all, sid had decided to spend his time on the terrace where it was nice and quite, he sat on one of the pavements on the terrace and glared at the beauty of the dark night sky '.a cold breeze blows and sid closes his eyes absorbing in the feeling'..He lies down on the pavement, closes his eyes and rests his head on his hand, he closes his eyes and lies down there thinking about all the events that had occurred during the day,

Sid in his mind has a flash back of how SR shared an eye lock when tam read the astro predictions, later on when SR bumped into each other. He has a light smile recollecting those moments.

Neha walks off to the stairs so that she could reach where sid is'ridhima on the other hand has closed the file

Rids( in her mind): neha ko sid se kya kame ho saktha hai jo voh use milne chath par chalee gayi hai ;)

Kahi voh, she loves sid but he is unaware of that , I think I should better go and find out of whats happening'but why should I go because sid is no body to me 'but id I don't go I won't be able to find peace of mind either'.

Ridhima follows neha to the stairs out of partial jealousy and a bit of insecurity, she knew her old feelings were coming to life again but just couldn't accept the fact since there was much to be said between her and sid , she stays at a safe distance while following sid'Neha climbs her way up the stairs on to he terrace Sid who is too lost in his thoughts doesn't realise that the girl is around, he still has his eyes closed and immersed in thoughts'She walks slowly so that she doesn't wake him up with an intention not to wake him up.She has two cups of coffee in her hand'

In the background Ridhima is watching her.Neha wa in Indian outfit for the first time ever time and she was expecting it to be noticed by sid.She very carefully walks to where sid was lying down and places the coffee on the fences of the terrace, she slowly sits down and bends down to speak into Sid's ear. Ridhima on the other hand is watching Neha's action, she is quite restless as unknowingly she doesn't like the closeness between neha and sid ..Neha keeps closing on to Sid, she is few inches from sid when her long hair accidentally drops on to his face and he wakes up.He jerks a little bit, he quickly sits up during which he bumps his head into neha's head

Sid: arrghh! I am soo sorry'let me see ( he goes to hold her head)

Neha: noo noo its k, its only a slight chote don't worry I will be fine'

Sid: hey let me see

Neha : sid I am fine

Ridhimia : 'sid' look at her she is so casual with sid'an sid who thoo use toke bhi nahi reha

Sid gets up on his feet an helps neha too and they both stand opposite to each other, facing the sky and ridhima in the background'

Rids looks at sid with disappointment

Neha: well nothing special just felt like trying it

Sid: I have never seen u in salwar kameez before'

Neha: lol yh I have never worn it before either

Sid: lol I don't such 'someone special ' in my life I am single

Rids who was listening to the conversation was relieved to find that sid did not have anyone in his life ..she didn't know why but it did matter to her..

Sid: I was only admiring the beauty of this night ( they turn to the sky)

It's a beautiful night , a clear full moon and lots of star and not very chilly breeze, u know it viands up even very sorted people'

Neah: well! I guess u got carried away into some sort of romance

Sid: lol slightly, a tiny 'mini bit but I am still single though

Ridhima who was over hearing the conversation was increasingly becoming insecure over the connection that SN were having at that instance..

Sid closes his eyes with the mug in his hand, a light breeze blows on his face, neha turns to sid and observes the way he was cherishing the moment

Sid opens his eyes and feels estatic,he looks towards the sky with a wide smile

Neha has confused expression on her face'

He stops once they are in the middle of the terrace

lifts her hand to place it on his shoulder and guides his fingers iaround her waist and entangles her fingers with hers

neha : no worries I understand

sid starts singing and they start dancing simultaneously

Neha: but seriously u are an awesome singer..did u sing at all

Sid: umm use too long time ago

Rids( in her mind ): I never knew sid sang .. well I knew very little about sid anyway we never really got to know more about each other because of the stuff that kept happening in our life ( she meant arman's stupid actions)

Neha: how long exactly ?

Sid: ummm during high school time

Neha: did u never sing afterwards ?

Sid: nope, life got complicated after and I had to drift away from music...

Neha: u should start again then

Sid: lol waqt nahi hai

Neha; sid buddy u are talented and u should exercise ur talents'

Sid: umm may be we will see..its hard to get back to old things ( he has an image of ridhima while taking)

Neha: well u don't have to infact old things are coming back to you and now its choice to accept it

Neha: how many girl friends did u have before u fell for ur one ?

Sid: well! When I started my internship in india I fell for a fellow intern did everything to express my love for her but it never worked out, I was devastated when she left lol and u wouldn't believe when I went to see her off at the airport that's when I first met my wife..well ex- wife (with sadness)

Sid : ( with slight sadness) well! That's the twist in the story we never felt for each other , I fell for her it was more or less a one way traffic

Sid: well when its time everything just falls into places

I soon found out about her past , that she had an unfortunate experience from her previous love , I felt sympathetic towards her and since even I was out from a break up , she soon found out that her lover was I decided to help and accompanied her to find him and then one cold night changed our destiny she was hit by hypothermia and as a doc I had to save her through exchange of thermal heat, rest kya thaa because it was india , and things around just highly influenced us ..we were force to marry each other

Neha : and then

Sid: on our wedding night she attempts to commit suicide, which causes turbulence in our life afterwards'and finally when everything was falling into place her ex-lover decided to make a come back and we are again torn back..but then she chooses me over him and we decide to start all over again, but that wasn't the beginning we were looking for,sid explains rest of the story to neha

Neha: ( has tears in her eyes) I am sorry to hear this'

Ridhima had a small peck of tear flowing down her eyes

Neha: so do u hate her ?

Sid: no,never she taught me what true love was..for giving some cherish able memories

I left her for her happiness and that was my love which I showed and where there is love there is no existence of hatred'

It wasn't her fault that she could never move on '.perhaps certain things are just way beyond our control in life'I can never hate her because she taught me to love, to love selflessly 'the purest form of love is pure selfless'I have got much respect for now even now , it hurts sometimes thinking I lost her but there is nothing I can do about it

Sid: I had too, because to me back then she was gonna be someone else's which meant I had lost all my authority on her so yh I tried my best to forget her, I didn't even visit India for a long time time until recently when I thought it was time to take chances'

Ridhima looks back in horror

Sid come closer to the dorr and then loudly
