The senior leadership starts the meeting..

Dr 1: o Dr modi are you aware of the allegations made against u

Dr sid :yesss I am

He looks at ridhima and then back to the doctor

dr 2: so why do the immature singin/dancing session last night when u know such a thing is unprofessional

sid: I don't think that was unprofessional because there was nothing obscene or such going, what we were trying to do was to cheer that poor chap up! And I don't think there was anything wrong with it..

rids: the guy could have oppositely reacted to it what about that

sid gives rids a stern look

sid: he couldn't have because his physical conditions wouldn't have let him too

dr 2: what about the disturbance that u created 4 other patients

sid: there was no problem such because the entire thing was conducted behind close door and with no other patients being around…

dr 3: well but still

sid: doctor such techniques are used in developed nations to improve patients conditions, they even go to the extend of customising the room according to the patients need if that helps them, then y can't we ,we are a private hospital and we have got all resources to do it then why not just adopt such new techniques rather than sticking to the traditional methods of just medicines….

A strong bleated debate occurs in the room and sid eventually wins. The doctors were in no mood to give away neither was ridhima so they raise the issue of cake fight.

Dr 4: so Dr modi I heard u were indulge in a cake fight

Sid was shocked to hear this because he trusted ridhima with this, he was completely casual towards ridhima having issues with the cake fight since he thought everything was done off records, he never thought in million tears that ridhima would use this against him..

Sid is completely furious and looks at ridhima in utter anger

Sid then explains the whole scenario to the doctors and they seem convinced.

It was now time for the verdict

Dr 1: We are please to state that Dr sid has come clean of all the allegations made on him and regarding his negligence .Although Dr modi has backed up his stands we are not convinced enough to put him in charge of interns again. So we have all together agreed for the interns to be placed under the watchful eyes of Dr Ridhima and solely only her and not involving anyone else…

Sid looks shocked and disappointed, he is not unhappy about what the verdict has been but he is unhappy about the 2^nd allegation that was raised against him. : ( he never thought she would pick on such a disregarded incident, Ridhima on the other hand was troubled because she did not wanted to snatch the intern's supervision from him but unknowingly she had done that and obviously owned her an apology. As soon as the verdict is over the senior docts leave the room and it was sid and rids left in the room, the atmosphere in the room was pretty tense..Sid storms off without looking at or saying anything to rids. Ridhima senses his anger and goes after him.He walks down the corridor and rids walks after him , she keeps calling his name but doesn't turn around or respond although it was quite audible,ridhima runs after him and soon catches up, She stops right infront of him

RIDHIMA looks at sid,

sid looks up without saying anything

I was only doing my duty, I never intended to snatch anything from u and I am really sorry about the verdict. Trust! Me sid I was only concerned for the interns and that too, out of my responsibilities nothing apart.

Sid: ho gaya thoo hato I need to go ( sid keeps his cool)

rids: but sid u still look quite angry turst me

sid completely losses his cool, he holds her arms and drags her into the nearest room which was an empty stock room, he closes the door behind.Rids looks up in terror,he pins her down on the wall and looks into her eyes with complete anger.His grip on her was getting tighter and it was beginig to hurt her, she tried to lossen his grip and realising he was too furious he lets her off.

sid: sune liya tum ne job hi kiya apne farz ke nathe kiya, it was ur duty right! apne patients par sird farz ke nathe math deko , insaniyath ke nathe bhi deko thabe jake ek doctor sahi mahino mai doctor bantha hai , lekin tum yeh sabe nahi samjogi tumhe thoo sab kuch sirf farz nasar atha hai … Kash kit um apni zindagi mai sab kuch farz ke nathe nahi karthi, agar essa hotha thoo kabhi ithna dard nahi hota …..

sid's words pierce through ridhima's heart ,sid had rubbed on some really old wounds for either of them, though his words.Rids stares at him, she has tears flowing down her eyes , she runs out of the room straight into her cabin and breaks down there, Sid too realises his mistake, he walks into his cabin , closes the door and slams his seth on his table her sits on the chair and recalls what he said

sid: yeh maine kya kar diya, gusse main na jane rihima ko kya kya keh gaya .I shouldn't have done that .He stayed in his room. Ridhima gets a call from Anjie and she shares her grief with her dee

anjie consoles her, later she calls sid up and confronts him on the matter, sid was otherwise as well planning to apologise to rids on this matter. However, a packed schedule for rest of the day keeps them busy and they don't get to speak to each other. I n the evening around 7ish ridhima goes down to the terrace and stays there thinking about all the events that had happened during the, it was slightly windy and the moon was glowing with its complete grace… .She recalls sid's words and has tears flowing down her eyes, she closes her eyes. Just then she hears footstep behind her, she quickly wipes her tears and does not turn around. Si d walks to where she was standing

s: Hi ridhima

he reaches to where ridhima was standing and looks at her face

s: roo rehi thee

r: nahi thoo

he turns her around, she has her eyes down and is talking to sid from such a position.He goes closer and lifts his hands to straighten her shoulders but then realises what he was about to do and puts his hand down,

Si: I am sorry, ridhima I probably went beyond limits with my words perhaps shouldn't have spoken so much

Rids: no its k u were just taking your frustration out,

Sid: well partially but I was more disappointed because of the cake fight thing which completely provoked me otherwise I was fine and I understood…

Rids: I am sorry about that

Sid: k here is the deal, lets just forget everything until now and start a new friendship

Sid extends his hand : friends ?

Rids: sure!

Sid: well somethings missing

Rids: what!

Sid: that smile

Rids: oo( she smiles )

They shake hands with each other,

SID: so then, tell me now, how was the past 7yrs for you ? I am sure itt woud have been quite eventful and yh obviously u have got arman with you so ur life is guaranteed to get better.

Rid's smile fades away she turns sideways and looks away and then starts,

Rids: I went Harvard's soon after u left, I did not wanted to go but then dad and arman and everyone around convinced me for it as it was 1c in life opportunity, I went there came back .Me & Arman had taken a decision that we wouldn't speak to each other for the next 2 yrs so that I can solely concentrate on my education. At the end of the 2^nd yr when I returned back he was gone, apparently he had attacks of amnesia again and he just decided to leave, I was shattered after that, in spite of having such a long relationship he just gave away, usne humesha vahi kiya jo uska man chaha… I tried every possible means of contacting him but he just went away as always.An then few years after I was forced to move on too I HAD TO GET ON WITH LIFE AND I LEFT SANJEEVANI TO RUN AWAY FROM THOSE MEMORIES AND WORKED AROUND INDIA BUT THIS PLACE WAS ALWAYS SPECIAL .

Sid carefully listens to everything at the end he just turns around rids

Sid: want a hug that's all this friend can give ( btw guies this is only a very friendly hug nothing like anything between any lovers)

Rids accepts his sweet gesture, she walks into his embrace, her finger slowly slide down the strong muscles of his back , mesmerising those old feelings. She buried her head in his chest and for the first time in years felt his skin against hers. He had his arms placed strongly around her back , holding her tight. He stood there saying nothing giving ridhima plenty of time to cool down, she tears fowing down her checks. Ridhima always missed those pair of strong arms to hold her high even when she use to feel low. They just stand like that for a while not moving from each others embrace, sid was giving her time to cool down. Minutes later ridhima broke the hug, she withdrew from Sid's embrace.She looks up to sid wiping away the last of her tears

Sid: feeling better ?

Rids: yh

Sid slides his hand into his back pocket and slides his handkerchief out , he offers it towards rids

Sid: loo , asooo ponche looo

Rids grabs it and thanks sid for his kindness..

R: aur tum hari story ?
s: kafi lambi hai so some other time, plus its sad too and tonight is not the night for all sad stories so lets leave that for another night

S: hey! Tumhari duty khatam ho gayi hai ?

R: ha….kyon ?

S: meri bhi, so lets go and eat some golle guppe

R: tum, pagal ho gaye ho kya ?

Sid snatcher her wrist and guides her down on the stairs

R: sidd!!!

R: sid tum bhi na bancho jaise ho

Sid: aje bahut salo badhe bacha bane ka mane kiya hai, so please let me ? ( he give her a puppy face)

Rid: tum bhi na sid

He winks at her and they run down the stairs, once down out of the stairs they start walking slowly otherwise they will start catch people's attention, sid also lets go of ridhima's wrist .They step out side the hospital and sid runs to the parking and gets his car ready for ridhima to come.

S: jaldhi avoo na ridhima

Ridhima on the other hand is enjoying the immaturity of her senior doctor and bites her lips to stop laughing.Once near the car Sid pulls her down into the passenger seat.Ridhima looks at him with total surprise

Ridhima: aree baba

Sid grins at her, her quickly drives to the nearest roadside wender,they get out of the car…

Sid: aree bhaiya 2 late golle gappe dhena

Bhaiya: ek minutes sahib

Sid: I havn't had golle gappe in years and that too like this never ever from the past,

Rids smiles at him.

They soon have their respective plates , Sid finishes quickly and rids was still having hers.

R: tumne thoo bahut jaldhi kha liya

S: hmm it was quite good isiliye..

It starts raining in a minute and sid quickly opens up his boot and pulls a golf umbrella out , he holds it next to ridhima and they both stand together there underneath the umberella, Sid watching ridhima while she eats, he then looks away .A few minutes later a couple arrive there, it was a pregnant lady and her hubby, the hubby orders for a plate of golle gappe for his wife..Their order comes and the lady starts eating while the hubby holds the umbrella up for his wife..he sees sid doing the same and decides to start of a random conversation…

The guy ( hubby) to sid: apki pathni ke initial mahine chal rehe honge

Sid : kya ( in a confused tone )

Rids looks at sid in shock

The guy: yeh pregnancy mai esse he hota hai , ladies have strong carving for food and we guies have to take them around for everything…

Sid : lol , apko ghalat faymi ho rehi hai she is not pregnant hum tho esse he gol gape khane aye hai

The lady: don't worry keep the advice for later on in life, vaise u seem to be a nice hubby u drove ur wife just for her carving sake, that's very swett

Sid laughs while rids opens up her mouth to speak : behji apko ghalthi huyi hai hum log pathi pathni nahi hai sirf dost hai and we came from work for just a small break..

The couple looks a bit embarrassed, rids returns the plate and looks at sid who is smiling from those remarks being made earlier ,she smiles back…Once back in the car Sid starts driving quickly, he is carefull not to bring up anything that the couple said earlier.

Sid: uumm it was nice golle gappe right

R: it was nice…so then sid u would have served a lot for u r wife during her pregnancy

Sid breaks suddenly on having this quick blow ..sid looks at rids and then looks away.he then starts driving without making things too obvious.

Sid : errrr… I wasn't with her during her pregnancy .I only saw rahul once he was 6 months old

Rids: how come ?

Sid: long tale of various circumstances..

Rids: where is rahul's mum now ?

Sid: she passed away years ago

Rids: oo I am sorry to hear that

Sid: she was diagnosed with leukaemia when rahul was 3 months old, she was into an advanced stage,being a doctor herself she knew there was not much explanations to be done…

Sid stops driving they were back to hospital. Sid's serious tone changes into playful again,

He gets out of the car and goes around to the passenger seat and opens the door for ridhima.

S: Dr Ridhima u have arrived ur desination nice and safe and here is your driver signing off..

R: lol

Sid smiles back

Ridhima gets out of the car and walks towards the hospital she smiles at sid and returns it back

SID: I AM gonna go into the hospital kuch files lene thee, chalo gee ?

Ridhima: Yh I need to get my bag and keys..too so I will come with you

Sid and rids walks inside the hospital , they make their way to the nurses station where Tam was briefing the interns..Tam sees them walking together and stops

Neha is a bit jelous seeing Sid with Rids

Tam: muje laga tum dono ki duty khatam ho gayi thee

Sid: haaa

Tam: so how come u r back then ?

Rids: voh.. hum log

Sid: bahar gaye thee

Neha now has a growing grudge for rids,

Tam :ooo

Sid: bus kuch kame thaa ..right I will leave u guies here and will catch u later ,

He turns to rids

Sid : byeeee

Sid walks away and tam disperses the interns

Interns go their way

Tam : so u and sid were out ey ( rolling her eyes)

Rids: yh we just went to the shops down there

Tam: ohoo

Rids : tam stop it we just went kyonki sid ne insist kiya

Tam: vaise ek bath kahu tum aur sid ache lagthe ho sath mai

For the first time in years Rids feels shy when that comment came about her and sid,she smiles away

Tam: ur smile betrays ur words

Rids: lol enough yarr abe bus bhi kar

tam: acha acha muje emergency mai jana hai abhi, lekin meri bath mane lo sid could be u r potential something something …….

Rids: lol tam I will catch u later…😆😆

Now, this was perhaps the day that god gave them a second chance 4, a chance to meet each other after such a long time, now can this lead to the completion of that old incomplete love story or is this gonna awake sid's old feeling and take him to new dimensions ,perhaps another love ?😉😉😉😉
