Dev tried to cover up

Dev: I mean No....I'm fine by being called Dev ' just Dev..And anyways Meera has you Bro, there is no need for any other *Maan raised an eyebrow and looked at Dev confusedly*.........wh...what I mean to say ...is....well.....if we all followed suit then ...then....who would she have as her friends ' r...r...r...right...? *as he shot a quick glance to Meera and noticed her lowered gaze and a slight rosy colour appear on her cheeks*

Maan: Ok Ok Dev....we get the point......but why are you feeling a little tensed....everything ok??

Dev: *phew*...Yeah I'm kool... yeah kool......err Bro I think we should get going, I'll show you to your class and then I have to get to mine too, he said as he tried tugging Maan away from the girls, before his over caring Bro suggested having an official Raakhi ceremony there and then.....or anything else that could possibly go wrong.

Maan: Dev wait.......Pari, you didn't tell me ' Who was that who walked away? Giving a sterner look showing, he was serious. Pari fumbled again and said

Pari: Woh....she's woh...my.......she's my friend *looking towards Meera before moving her glance to Dev and then back to Maan*

Maan: Friend?? Erm from senior class?? You never mentioned about her...he said hoping Pari would tell further

Dev saw the little exchange between Meera and Pari and instantly stepped in to help.....

Dev: Bro, she's OUR Meera's sister........I mean, HER cousin sister ' so that's probably how they know each other ' right Pari?? Dev said as he signalled Pari to agree. Pari nodded and then Dev dragged Maan along giving him the excuse of not wanting to be late.

Thaks trisha for that lamba chauda comment..and punjabi plus hindi..oh darling thats natural..me too do that..its awful some times..i speak and people will be gaping at me what did i just blabber..hehe..and stalker..u can chill about that i am In INDIA..so london is too far for me to stalk or i would have thought of that..and why i aksed name..coz i love adressing people by their names..u can see mine in my siggie..and update..i still have to red that..will comment on that..two min..

Maan was lost in his thoughts that he didn't realise which way Dev was taking him until they reached a staircase where a crowd of students were rushing to get upstairs and others downstairs, whilst the teachers tried their best to try and control the riot.

Dev: MR SMITH!!!! Dev shouted over the noisy crowd to get the attention of a skinny old man – he seemed to be in his 50s and he had a bit of a bald patch in the middle of his head whilst the hair around it had completely gone greyish white. He turned around and gave a big smile to Dev as we approached him near the staircase.

Mr.S: Oh hello Dev dear, how have you been? And, what have I told you about shouting within the school premises. Now now young man – don't tell me you've forgotten the rules already – it won't be setting a good example on the young ones here now would it? – He said before letting out a little chuckle.

Dev: Oh I'm sorry Mr Smith......and no I haven't forgotten the rules – how could I, you had me in detention almost the whole last term reciting the rules. Haha.....but yes I'm doing well thanks and hope you had a good summer too

Mr.S: I did indeed son

Dev: err... Mr Smith, this my older brother – it's his first day here, I believe he is in your class. Bro this is Mr. Smith, the coolest teacher here by far *as he winks at Mr.S* and he's your form tutor, just follow him, he'll take you to your class. I best leave before I get late for my class. C ya Bro. Have a good day Mr. Smith.

Dev hurries up the stairs, leaving behind a rather lost Maan.

As Dev hurried along, he saw Geet in the corridor and instantly his Devilish mind awoke – he thought of something and walked with confidence in her direction.

Dev: Hi Geet!

Geet: Oh....hi Dev *trying to hide her amazement* Dev never spoke much to Geet, certainly not where Pari or Meera were not present – *PARI?? Oh god I hope nothing's happened* – she looked towards Dev now, anxious as to what he could possibly want to talk about

Dev: err..... Mr. Smith told me to give you a message

Geet: a message?

Dev: yh, er he said you need to go to the main reception....something about your mum waiting for you there...something urgent or something

Geet: *why would mum come into school? Something urgent? But what*

Dev: as he saw the confused state of Geet, he quickly added; Geet I think you should go and find out if everything is ok, you don't worry – I'll inform Mr. Smith that you got the message and left to see your mum....Now go

Geet was a little apprehensive but there was no harm in going to check...she turned to go and Dev had the biggest GRIN plastered on his face over his victory at fooling Geet, when she turned back again suddenly – his face dropped as he saw her examine his face

Dev: *oh crap, I've blown it, she must've seen me grin...oh crap......run for your life Dev...run* Dev starts to move off, when Geet stops him and thanks him for the message and then hurriedly walks off towards the reception.

Dev: What a foolish girl – Serves her right....for messing around with me and Meera. *And with that thought he walks into his class and quickly takes his seat.*
