Part – 7

Next few days pass in peace at sanjeevani. Karan has shifted his work to mumbai and has become a financer of sanjeevani so keeps coming to the hospital at times. He has not proposed shilpa yet. One fine morning:

Karan comes to the hospital and was in a hurry to find armaan, he spots shilpa where armaan was and she tells him that he was in the OPD. He rushes off and shilpa is left confused. Karan reaches the OPD and is panting due to running around.

A – hey karan! Kya hua? Tum itna haan kyu rahe ho?

K – hi armaan! Actually mujhe tumse bahut jaroori baat karni hai.

A – haan bolo

K – tumhe yaad hai na maine tumse kaha tha ki main shilpa se pyar karta hoon aur use ye baat batana chahta hoon.

A – haan toh?

K – woh main aaj hi use propose karna chahta hoon.

A – aaj kyu aaj kuch special hai?

K – haan aaj hi ke din hum mile the!

A – oh how cool! Fine I'll help you make all the arrangements. And as for the place well I think beach is a very nice idea. What say?

K – yes beach is a very good idea.

A – and her favourite flowers are roses so we'll get the place decorated with roses and a candlelight dinner with some soft and soothing music. Alright

K - that's an awesome plan thanks armaan and you are a true friend.

A –u're welcome

K – cool have to make arrangements so bye and thanks once again.

A – now you are irritating me with your thank yous.

K – okay sorry

A – you know what you have to stop being so formal if you take me as your friend. Now go bye.

And he pushes karan out. Afterwards armaan is left with a heavy heart and he cannot even understand his weird feelings cause he still thinks he loves riddhima but the truth is something else. He dosen't know why but he wanted himself to be with shilpa in that romantic setup. But he brushed his thoughts away.

In the evening at 6 armaan spots shilpa in the hospital. He is shocked to see her ther cause he himself reduced her duties so that she could be free till 5 and go and get ready for her special moment. He calls shilpa and goes to her.

A – shilpa tumhari duty to paanch baje khatam ho gayi na to phir tum yahan kya kar rahi ho? Tumhe kahin baahar nai jaana.

S – haan jaana to tha par ek patient ki tabiyat bahut kharab ho gayi so I decided to go after sometime. Aur waise bhi mujhe 7 baje pahunchna hai. I'll make it on time.

Armaan leaves from there after the talk and shilpa too goes for her duty after sometime she gets free so goes off after bidding goodbye to everyone.

At 7:20 armaan is driving back home when he gets a call from shilpa.

S – hey armaan! Mujhe tumhari help chahiye.

A – meri? Is waqt?

s- haan. Kya tum abhi abhi airport aa sakte ho.

A – airport?

S – haan kyu koi problem hai kya?

A – nai main aata hoon.

He reaches the airport in 10 minutes and goes inside and calls shilpa.

A – where are you?

S - I'm near the luggage counter.

He looks around and finds shilpa standing there worried.

A – kya hua shilpa?

S – armaan woh meri ek relative aaj aane wali thi par unki flight cancel bata rahe hain. But I remember her telling me that she had boarded the flight. I don't know what to do and and the authorities are not even listening as there is some mla comig today. Could you please find about the flight?

A – I'll try btw what is the name of your relative?

S – her name is shehnaz aman. And the flight number is FT – 11202.

A – shehnaz aman. Is she from kasauli?

S – yes but how do you know about bi?

A – cause I know her too she is like my second mother. She is coming to Mumbai but sh e never told me.

S – actually I told her to not tell anyone.

A – okay I'll just check wait a minute.

Armaan goes off to check and comes back after sometime.

A – that flight was cancelled and all the passengers have been taken to another flight which is expected to arrive here in half in hour.

S – okay. We'll have to wait then.

Just then armaan's phone rings and he sees karan calling! He picks up the phone but befr he could say something karan starts off

K – armaan thank you so much. I am very happy. She said yes. She loves me too.

A – but how is that possible? Shilpa is with me now so how can she be with you there?

K – what shilpa is here with me. Wait wait wait! Are you thinking that I love shilpa malhotra.

A – yes of course dumbo. Who else is shilpa?

K – I love shilpa anand. My PA remember. she came to shilpa's bday with me.

A – oh you love that shilpa. I thought you love our shilpa. but I guess it was a very big misunderstanding.

K – ya and good that it's cleared. And btw thanks for the wonderful idea. She really loved the setup. Ok gotto go. Can't keep her waiting for long.

A – y sure go off and enjoy your date. Bye

K – bye

After keeping the phone down he comes to shilpa. shilpa had not heard every thing. Just titbits like "shilpa, love , date"etc. So she asks armaan out of curiosity.

S – whom were you talking to? Love date?

A – woh I was talking to karan. He loves shilpa his PA

S – I know and he was going to propose her today. What did she say? Did he tell you?

A – yes she agreed.

S – wow that's awesome. I'm really happy for karan.

A – you know what karan had told me he loves shilpa but I thought he loves you. I never expected it to be that shilpa.

S – (laughing) what really! Oh my god armaan that's really funny! me and karan! Oh please we are just best friends okay nothing else. So don't get such wrong ideas

A – what is so funny?

s- nothing it's just we don't fit together. So I'm still single.

Armaan didn't know why but he felt relaxed on knowing that karan did not love shilpa.

Just then there is an announcement of the flight landing in which bi was coming and few minutes later they see bi coming. Shilpa runs off to hug her.

Armaan too goes after her.

S – oh bi! I'm so happy to see you. Hmmm day by day you go on lookin younger and sexier.

B – shut up! Shaitan kahin ki. Mujhe maska lagati hai.

A(from behind) – nai bi shilpa sach keh rahi hai aap sach me din pe din aur khoobsurat hoti ja rahi hain.

Bi turns around to find armaan. Her eyes fill up with tears and she hugs him real tight.

b- ammy sach mein tu hai. Kahan chala gaya tha tu maine tujhe kai baar phone kiya par kisiko tere bare mein kuch nai pata tha. Kaisa hai tu mera bacha?

A – bi pehle aap rona band kariye main bilkul thik hoon aur mere na milne ki bahut lambi kahani hai. Fursat mein bataunga. Abhi bas ye samajh lijiye ki riddhima meri zindagi mein ab nahi hai. Usne kisi aur se shaadi kar li hai aur bahut khush bhi hai.

He pulls out from the hug and wipes her tears.

A – pehle ghar chalte hain phir baat karenge.

But shilpa interrupted loudly as if she decoded some mystery

S – oh to ye hai aapka ammy armaan hai. Matlab ye hi hai wo.

b- haan

s – acha bi ab ghar chalte hain

A – ghar matlab bi mere saath mere ghar mein rahengi.afterall main main itne din baad unse mila hoon.

S – no way. Bi ko maine bulaya hai. Woh mere saath rahengi.

A – mere saath

S – mere saath.

A – nahi mere saath. Main tumhara senior hoon. Tumhe meri baat maanni hogi

S – senior tum hospital mein ho yahaan nahi.

bi was just seeing thtem bickering. But when they didn't stop even after 20 mins she interrupted.

B – uff ! tum dono ladna band karo. Main tum dono ke saath rahoongi.

A – par main iske saath nahi rahoonga.

S – mujhe bhi tumhe apne ghar par rakhne ka koi shauk nai hai.

B – mera woh matlab nahi tha. Mera matlab hai ki main kuch din shona ke saath rahoongi aur kuch din ammy tere saath.

They agree and tho to the car where armaan puts the luggage in and then they get into the car with armaan driving and shilpa in the seat beside him and bi at the back.

S – acha to bi ye hai aapka ammy jiske bare mein aap mujhe hamesha batati thi. Par armaan malllik to aapki description se bilkul alag hai. Bachpan ki to koi qualities isme rahi hi nahi.

A – excuse me. Tum mere bachpan ke bare mein kuch kaise keh sakti ho. Tum to mujhe jaanti bhi nahi thi.

B – ammy ye sach much tujhe bachpan se jaanti hai. Yaad hai bachpan mein teri school mein mid term mein ek ladki ne join kiya tha.

A – haan 5^th class mein aur meri teacher ne mujhe uski help karne ko kaha tha par mujhe uska naam yaad nahi.

B – haan woh bhi teri hi tarah mere cafe mein din bhar baithi rehti thi. Pehli baar tu hi to use lekar aaya tha.

A – haan aap use kuch aur naam se bulati thi par woh mujhe superman bulati thi kyuki maine use bataya tha ki mujhe superman bahut pasand tha. Hum teeno kitni der tak batein karte rehte the.

S - yes superman main woh hi ladki hoon. Bi mujhe shone bulati thi aur phir tum bhi mujhe shone bulane lage.

A – par phir tum hume 2 saal baad achanak chor kar chali aayi kyu ki tumhare dad ka transfer ho gay tha. Yaad hai kitna ro rahi thi tum hume chor ke jaane ki baat par.

S – tum bhi to ro rahe the.

A – main ro nahi raha tha woh to khushi ke aansu the ki finally mujhe tumse chutkara mil gaya tha.

S – really! (she feels bad and puts her head down)

Armaan notices her upset and says main to mazaak kar raha tha. Tum to serious ho gayi. Acha by the way uncle aunty kaise hain?

Shilpa already upset starts crying hearing this. Then bicontinues

B – whan se ye log panchgani aa gaye. Aur wahin par ek din bhaisahab aur bhabhi ka accident hogay a aur woh chal base.

She was about to say something else when shilpa turned towards her and indicated a no from her eyes. Bi understood and continued saying – phir use panchgani ke sanjeevani orphanage mein le jaya gaya. Aur ye wahin pali badhi aur apne dum par scholarships haasil kar apni doctor ki padhai poori ki aur phir sanjeevani mein doctor ban gayi. Jab tu chala gay tha to ek din mujhe mere bhai se milne panchgani aana pada. Lekin bus stop par hi meri tabiyat bahut kharab ho gayi tab ye wahi thi aur isi ne mujhe bachaya. Mujhe hospital le gayi aur hosh mein aane ke baad isne mujhe bataya ki ye kaun hai aur apni poori kahani mujhe batayi. Tabhi se ye mujhse har hafte baat karti hai. Isne mujhe tere bare men bhi bataaya tha par tera naam nahi bataya. Isliye main samajh nahi payi. Apne janmdin ke liye isne mujhe bulaya tha par meri tabiyat kharab hone ke kaaran main nahi aa payi. To isne mujhe kuch dino baad tickets bhej diye aur kaha ki main yahi aa jaun kyuki waha mera khayal rakhne wala bhi koi nai hai. Aur le main aa gayi.

Armaan was listening to the story and shilpa was sobbing. When armaan noticed it he felt a very sharp pain in his heart for which he didn't understand the reason.

A – hey shona! Rona band karo please. Tum rote hue bilkul ach nahi lagti aur wasie bhi ab to tumhara superman tumhare saath hai to phir rone ki kya jaroorat hai. Acha chalo tumhara ghar aa gaya.

Shilpa had quietened down a bit but not stopped crying completely. After they went in bi freshened up and then they had dinner. All this time armaan was continuously pacifying shilpa. bi noticed armaan's concern and thought"ammy lagta hai tere jakhm bhar gaye hain. Tujhe kisi se pyar ho gaya hai par tu abhi ye baat samjha nahi hai. Koi baat nahi ab main aa gayi hoon na sab thik kar doongi."

After dinner armaan went back and a day full of revelations was finally ended.
