The movie's name is Namukku Parkkam Munthiri Thoppukal (tanya-vi, please help me out with the literal translation of the title). The movie won the national award in the year that it was released, back in the 80s... there is a subtitled version on youtube, in case anyone is interested. It's one of my favorites of all time (this is just my way of spreading the joy of it to my non-keralite peeps ;)

Oh, great weaver of tales, that was amazing...

Besides being very romantic, it took me back to my youth. My friends used describe me this way: Song of Solomon 8:8... 🤣 I'll let you look it up.
